Crime / Chinese Authorities Seize Over 7,200 Human joysticks On A Cargo Ship From Nigeria by juri: 7:15pm On Apr 11, 2021
Chinese customs officers have made the world’s biggest seizure of human organs in history this morning, a total of 7221 joysticks of African origin hidden in a refrigerated freight container.
Acting on information from an anonymous informer, Chinese officers found the organs in 36 boxes labelled as plantains (cooking bananas) inside a refrigerated container on a ship harboured in the Shanghai Port.

Chinese General Administration of Customs spokesman, Li Wu, says an increasingly large number of armed groups in Africa use organ trafficking to finance themselves, making such seizures predictable.

“These organs are common commodities now, but they were certainly harvested in unsanitary conditions or contaminated at some point, so we can’t let them out on the Chinese market.”
Mr. Li says the organs were shipped from Lagos in Nigeria but may have only transited through that country and could possibly originate from elsewhere in Africa.

“We know that joysticks from Lybia and Sudan fetch a higher price than those from other African war zones, but can’t presume of their origin before the end of the investigation.”

The Chinese General Administration of Customs says similar seizures may become more common over the next few years as armed groups in Africa turn to organ trafficking to finance their military operations.

Human joysticks were seized in nine cases since 2002, but today’s find represents more than four times the amount seized by customs officers over the past 18 years.

Describing the organ’s value as high as illegal drugs, he said that “specimens of this size” usually fetched around $160,000 each on the black market, and its total value was more than $1.15 billion.

The ship’s crew, four Nigerians, two Malians and two Cameronese are being detained for interrogation, but no charges have yet been filed against them.

Okay sir. Well, logically I did before commenting.

Aside the screenshot attached (which I think you are really ignoring the essence of the message), I did get confirmation from inside long before now on the status of applications with the board. But to give you a clue, the offline verification for the first batch was done in two days.

Here’s my point, what you’re advising people to do has been overtaken by events. Every effort to that effect is null and void. Your actual documents for that process are already moved offline and undergoing verification with NCDMB directly. Anything you’re doing right now is academic in every sense of it.

Thanks for the advice tho.
Good morning

Good Day, pls any prospects for a third batch?

What was said in reference to Newcastle2023 and @Scheme124 by some here is most disappointing. Let's learn to appreciate people's efforts as they had tried in the past ( and I pray they have a forgiving heart to continue) to give useful information. These persons are not staff of NCDMB. Even the persons they may be getting information from may choose to leave out some details in what they are giving out. So these nairalanders giving us information may not always be 100% accurate. There information no doubts is useful.

Newcastle2023 @Scheme124 @Leks4sure and all others giving out genuine information as they had so received and believed to be true, I want to take this opportunity to appreciate you guys. I dearly comment here but I just could not hold back when some persons were trying to cast assertions especially on Newcastle2023 and @Scheme124. Am sure such persons will do same to @Leks4sure if his information's turns out no to be accurate in the future even for factors not known to him.

Again, Newcastle2023 especially, I really want to take this moment to celebrate and appreciate you, I honestly and sincerely pray you get your heart's desires as it relates to this NCDMB application. My post may have been too long so house pls forgive me, but sometimes one can't just let some things slide. Thanks.

I noticed the previous thread created by Neekycee was removed hence, the reason for creating this to discuss.

I don't understand why the previous thread with over 200 pages was removed.

@Intels2020, in addition to what someone had suggested, I think the title of the thread should be amended as this:

'Ncdmb 2020 Oil and gas Eh & Gt Jobs'.

This will help distinguish it from future recruitment openings in the organization and for future reference purposes. You may also want to use 'NCDMB' as opposed to 'Ncdmb'. My humble proposition, thanks.

Offer me the contract for quick delivery.

One bedroom bungalow, at N2.9m

Two bedroom bungalow, at N3.7m

Three bedroom bungalow, at N4.5m

Rooms en-suite, includes plumbing, electricals, tiling and painting.

One month is enough to complete one house. Multiple houses can be delivered in same one month space by increasing artisans on site.

The prices are based on having a central water supply system for the estate piped to the individual houses.

Guy are you serious you can deliver a house in those categories you listed withing one month course I don't mind hiring you for my housing project if the time comes.

Please anybody with good knowledge about career and stuffs should help with advice

I have about 4million naira to secure an A Li's fed gov job still in process.. But I'm having a second taught of doing Canada express entry of which I intend taking the ielts and all of it,I'm 28 still prime,im still single,i have 2 or more degrees(bSC and ond)wit a sibling abroad for sibling score so the chances that it will work when I max ielts is high. Please house which should I settle for,

An A-list government job or Canadian PR(green card)/citizenship.

Advice needed at the moment bfore I commit fuly

My honest advice for you is to get the A list job with the reasonable salary to be goten, I can assure you processing the Canada stuff will not be a problem. As a mater of fact, after getting the Canada stuff while working, don't just resign like that. Apply for say study leave from the A list agency even if it is study leave without pay. You will use the period of the said study leave abroad the secure your self in Canada. If all is well there, then you can then resign your job here and stay there. But if all does not work out, then you can always come back home to something. This is my opinion.

Good evening everybody bikonu I need an advice on something that is really disturbing me.

I started a new job on August this year, the agency is A- list but at first I was not happy with the job but later on I fell in love with it,started making new friends, almost everybody in my department love me.
We all become families, we all do go out and check on each other, our department are well respected for our hard works and team work in fact we are the best organized department. I feel at home in job but two days ago I got a call from another A-List agency that I applied earlier June that my letter is out and I have two weeks to accept it.

The new agency pay more than the one I am doing but my own job now is more about what I study in school unlike the new one that is not much related,I spoke with my director he advice me to stay but I am really confused. Please I seriously need this advice.pls Insults is also allowed biko no pm.Note I did not post this here to let anyone down or to mock anyone cry I'm in state of confusion.

Truth is its ur choice at the end of the day, however you may want to consider some factors.

1. Both of them are A list agencies so you really have nothing to loose really at the end of the day.

2. You current job has now turned out to be fulfilling and related to ur field of study, so competence and prospect of moving forward is reasonably certain.

3. I will advise you remain. Sometime career success and happiness goes beyond how much you ear. Without the risk of sounding repetitive, at the end of the day, they are both A list agencies, you have found fulfilment in one A list agency, Stay Put.

Politics / Re: What Pa Awolowo Said About Nigeria In 1986 Will Shock You! by juri: 7:20am On Aug 03, 2020
nemynely:
My best hobby is thinking and this has led me to discover a lot of things on my own eg better ways of getting a task done easier and faster, whether at the office or at home. Through thinking, I am able to improvise when the appropriate is not available. Through retrospective analysis, I am able to better my present and by extension, the future.

It is this same thinking, which I did in 2009, that made me come to the frank and fearful realization that Nigeria is a damaged product. What led to that conclusion is story for another day. Only yesterday, I stumbled upon one of the letters of the late Sage, Pa Obafemi Awolowo (God bless his soul), who in 1986 penned down a fearful foreboding concerning this nation. It embodies all the trappings that led to my own sad conclusion of 2009.

Here's the letter.

To that request, Awolowo wrote the following:
“Dear Sir,
“I received your letter of February 28, 1986, and sincerely thank you for doing me the honour of inviting me to contribute to the National Political Debate.

“The purpose of the debate is to clarify our thoughts in our search for a new social order.

“It is therefore meet and proper that all those who have something to contribute should do so.

“I do fervently and will continue fervently to pray that I may be proved wrong.

“For something within me tells me, loud and clear, that we have embarked on a fruitless search.

“At the end of the day, when we imagine that the new order is here, we would be terribly disappointed.

“In other words, at the threshold of our New Social Order, we would see for ourselves that, as long as Nigerians remain what they are, nothing clean, principled, ethical, and idealistic can work with them.

“And Nigerians will remain what they are, unless the evils which now dominate their hearts, at all levels and in all sectors of our political, business and governmental activities are exorcised.

“But I venture to assert that they will not be exorcised, and indeed they will be firmly entrenched, unless God Himself imbues a vast majority of us with a revolutionary change of attitude to life and politics or, unless the dialetic processes which have been at work for some twenty years now, perforce, make us perceive the abominable filth that abounds in our society, to the end that an inexorable abhorrence of it will be quickened in our hearts and impel us to make drastic changes for the better.

“There is, of course, an alternative option open to us.
“To succumb to permanent social instability and chaos.
“In the premises, I beg to decline your invitation.
“I am yours truly, Obafemi Awolowo”
