I am a man of the kitchen! I love seeing a woman in the kitchen, doing her thing! So, when I said that I will love to see you in the kitchen, I mean it! The taste of the pudding is in its preparation! So are you good enough to take up my offer?

@ ruggedman, take am easy! Just how many minutes I just take to watch the Manchester Derby, u just collect my response! Abeg, wait make I die before u share my property! U get luck say Man Utd win o! I salute Naija boys!
@ Cherlene, I will like to see you in action for two reasons. One, to study your cooking methods and perhaps, teach you on how to improve on them. Secondly, I will like to see the look on your face when you taste some of our local dishes for the first time, a look of revulsion or a look of awe! That's my take on it!

I will take you up on your offer, but, I will prefer to watch you cook, instead of eating an already prepared dish! I hope that can be arranged?

so how does this translate to the whole Nigerian female population. Just because you met 1 or a few bad eggs does not mean we are all the same. Are Nigerian men all the same?

Stop exaggerating. You know very well that I never used the word "whole"! If you think that I am kidding, walk up to your pastor and ask him if he knows the reason why most Nigerian guys are scared to date nowadays! It is the inability to meet the demands of the female folk!
From UNIPORT In the south to UNILAG In the west to UNIABUJA, the story is the same! Money rules and most girls will do anything to be popular on campus!
You think that I am generalising , but you are wrong! The women of this generation are building their lives, using Nollywood Movies as their model.
If you have brothers, ask them about their experiences or those that they have heard from their friends, then , come back to inform the viewers of this thread! The materialism exhibited by women of this generation is scary ! No one wants to build a future with a upcoming guy, but wants to enjoy a mansion and flashy cars!

If you're a Nigerian man who has more than enough negative thought towards your fellow nigerian women you are self loathing. You can not be a Nigerian man and hate that which you come from. If you do it starts with the women in your lives like the mother, aunts, sisters, grandmother. What is it about them you don't like? Could it be their response to how they were treated by nigerian men Ponder that thought and be a better man. Stop pointing the finger and change what You do. Raise your daughters to be better women. It starts with you Nigerian men.

The worst thing that a man can do to a woman while dating , is to dump her! From your logic, you are saying that because she was dumped or abused in the past by men, her reaction is to make huge financial demands on a guy who earns less than 30k per month. A girl lives with her parents but uses a Apple watch! Yes, Apple watch and a Blackberry Passport in her hand! Apart from aristo runs, tell me where can she make such a money! I see them strutting about in Christian Louboutini shoes, Chanel bags, and other luxury designers items! I am not exaggerating because I have been there and seen it all. The pressure to be like the girl next door is too much, and the female folk are not helping matters. It is easier been a broke ass guy than a broke chic because even your fellow women will not hang out with you! But a guy can buy a fellow guy bottles of beer for him to drown his sorrow! It's a men's thing! A child's formative years is with the mother and not the father! Humans are not penguins, whose males sit on eggs while the female go out hunting in ice floes! Why do you think that in the Nigerian culture, the lady is considered the pride of her mother? So, get that idea out of your head that men folk are responsible for the inordinate greed exhibited by most girls nowadays !
It is all make believe! Every girl wants to dress like Tonto Dike, but how many of them has a guy rich as Malivehood or Chris Aire, the king of diamonds? Different strokes for different folks! Simple as that! Awolowo once said and I quote its English translation, " instead of the leopard to be the one carrying the hunting bag for the lion, it's better for them to hunt separately!".
That's settled it.

Call it Nigerian girls bashing, and those with Female usernames should go back home and ask their brothers to truthfully tell them the truth about their relationships, or the absence of one! In this age, it ain't easy to be with a nice and contented Nigerian girl! It takes the grace of God to find one. Can anyone explain why the rates of armed robbery usually spikes in festive period? Have ever wondered why there is so much robbery reports during the countdown to Valentine Day? If you think that I am just blowing it out of proportion, walk to the nearest Nigerian Police Station and ask the DCO or any policeman if he has met a lot of guys who rob just to please and meet the greedy demands of their girlfriends! One was killed in front of one of our business places and that was also the report about him! My take on this issue is very simple- just as there are foreign women who view child support as a way to live their life( Nas the rapper , is currently paying through his nose to take care of his progeny and his baby mama's boyfriend lives in the same house that he is paying for !), so is the case of most Nigerian girls who believe that it's their God given and constitutional right to suck their boyfriends of their financial life force! Sad but true!

As for those avoiding the truth and lying through their teeth, come out plain and let's talk.
1.Have you ever met a Nigerian girl and a week later , she starts demanding for recharge cards? I repeat demand and not ask.
2. Have your girl ever demanded for a weavon that is the equivalent of your salary, and she still lives with her parents?
3. Have you ever met a female undergraduate from Nigeria discussing with her counterpart from China and the U.S.?
If you haven't experienced the above , or met someone who has, then, you don't have the slightest idea of Nigerian women! I thank God for the way my mom raised my sisters to be self dependent and reliant. A woman who depends on men , will be subjected to the whims and caprices of their man. Why do you think many women are subjected to domestic physical abuse by their husbands and refuses to leave their marriage? They have nothing to fall back on! Do you think Dr. Chris, the husband of Stella Oduah, can raise his hand to slap her and kick her? Who born monkey? They are both billionaires but he can't ! Or is it Prof Okonjo Iweala, who kicked out her husband in the US for messing with their maid? I grew up in the south and west, schooled in the east and served in the north. So forget it, Nigerian girls are the same, only some are more matured in their approach to dating. Others see men as a means to an end, not an end itself! You can blow the trumpet of defending Nigerian women but I can assure you that deep down inside, you all know the truth! Nowadays, if you are not ready to pay for hairdo, manicure and pedicure , phones and subscription,......, it is 90% certain that you will not go out with a hot chic! Perhaps , you forget that in the Bible, the Book of Job comes long before the Book of Romans ( Romance)! Read between the lines and play your game smarter!

And dey dont have the 'nigerian women mentality'?........i know most modern nigerian women re not wife material, but some re still 'wife-able'...tho,i still stick with my mentality on marrying a black non-nigerian woman

I will give u a personal example. My last sister pays for her hairdo from her pocket, or is her phones? Last year, she bought an iPhone 5s, a Samsung Galaxy tab and a Blackberry Z series which she also sold to my elder sister who also paid cash from her pocket! I am aware because I am the one who adviced her about the cost implications and tech spec of the phones! Not a dime from her guy! The first time that I saw a Lamborghini , was when a classmate drove one to school! Does that mean that I have to rob in order to get mine? Life na jeje, not competition ! Every dog have its own day!
It is left for mothers to teach their daughters to learn to live within their means, and not succumb to peer pressure , which has led a lot of girls to lose their morals. I don't believe in judging, but, most of our girls eye too big !

One posted that he is engaged to a Brazillian lady, instead of been happy with him, you dey vex! If u have ever been to the Copacabana beach and see the Brazilian beauties in their bikinis , you go start to sow seed for church every Sunday, and pray make all your sons and grandsons marry Brazillian girls!

You can't correct me on a damn thing!

I have never said you wanted her for papers. I said it is easier for one to enter Naija than to enter USA or EU. I don't care about her being livid...it is fact.

Oh..random people can be Nigerian now? Did it get that bad?

Just swallow your damned pride and apologise for your error! You didn't just infer , you posited that she googled, those were your exact words, not mine! You argued based on a wrong premise, which I have pointed out to you. So stop trying to turn logic on its head!
Secondly, who told you that it is difficult to enter the EU? If I choose to buy a property in Croatia, Malta or many other countries, I will receive permanent resident permit, on the spot as soon as I sign! Or perhaps , you are not aware that the Senate President, David Mark is a citizen of Belize? Don't let anyone fool you, as long as you have enough money, US, Canada, UK , and so many other countries will be on their knees , begging you to invest in their god forsaken economies, with so called fast track business visa programs!
Thirdly, I said she was already "Nigerian" before we met . Perhaps, in your rush to score a cheap point, you ignored the clear fact that the word, Nigerian , was hyphenated . It simply means that she was a pseudo Nigerian, not actual Nigerian by birth or naturalisation. She has already assimilated into the Nigerian culture, for the record, she has already taken up a native name and all that is left, is to apply for a change of name officially! That's how Nigerian she is! For your information, even if a foreigner marries a Nigerian, the spouse is not automatically entitled to get a Nigerian passport! Person when get a South African resident permit and a Schengen permanent resident permit go break her head to get a "worthless" Nigerian green passport?
Lastly, you are taking it too personal for my liking! According to Fela,Bus get accident , dem dey arrest bus conductor! That's exactly what you are doing! Or were u dumped for a foreign lady, or perhaps, you are a guy masquerading as a "Mrs",please , all you have to do is to post your opinions and leave it there period.
I have over 350 cousins in my family Facebook group, scattered all over the world, with almost a 100 of them , never been in Nigeria since they were born, and they are now parents and grandparents. They have been coming in over the years, Especially the young ones, even without permission from their parents, to build their personal houses and trace their place in the family tree! I have never heard of divorces or separation of anyone of them in our Facebook group! It is an amalgam of different people and races , all tied by blood! So forget this your bad belle talk! A friend got married, spent millions on his wedding and got divorced in less than a year! They are both born and bred in Nigeria! Everyone has issues, but the foreign girls handle their issues better, quote me anywhere. Almighty God and Lucifer will agree with me on this! Cheers!

MrsChima:

You made a mistake of asking me such question because I am going to give it to you salty truth.

The reason why that lady coming to see you is because it is easier and cheaper for her to enter Naija than you enter America or Europe.

She has googled several links of how to cook Naija food because she doesn't want to look stupid and that you have been stressing her how important Naija food is to you and your culture.

If she is not Nigerian then she can't be a Nigerian wife. IF she doing all these extra steps to please and impress you...it is a bit desperate especially if you are not reciprocating as well.

You are not the only Nigerian man that snagged a Western and some made it past 5 years and some died in 5 years.

Good luck.

I will have to correct some of your impression which I think is wrong
1. I don't need her to go to Europe or America because I got several offers of admission to study for Masters in Ivy League universities in the US and also to conduct research in some of the best engineering departments in the UK, but I turned them down, due to strings attached! If I wanted to visit any country on earth, the worst they will ask of me, is to provide a bank statement with the equivalent of 11,000 Euros! That's what is required to visit Oslo, the most expensive city in the world, not to talk of hungry Portugal and other broke ass European countries! It's not about documentation! If I wanted paper, I can get an arrangee marriage this week in Stuttgart , Germany or any broke ass countries in the Schengen zone, without paying a dime. My friends have got my back on that!
2. From the first day that I met her, she told me about her fascination for the Nigerian culture, especially our food and clothes. She reeled off websites showcasing weddings and other info from Nigeria . So she is not trying to impress me. Her oldest friend is a Nigerian guy from the East! She was already "Nigerian" before I met her .
3. She was born and raised in Africa, Cape Town to be precise! So the African culture is not alien to her. She has been schooling in Europe since high school but I can assure you that she is 100% African.
4. We have already discussed issues about relocation back to Africa. We are already planning her first visit to Nigeria later in the year, whether I am around in Nigeria or not, my family has already agreed to welcome her! And I assure you that they will spoil her silly if given the slightest opportunity. You already know how strangers are taken care of in Nigeria, not to talk of a daughter inlaw!
5. She has already read your post and I can assure you that she is livid with some of your assumptions, which is understandable, because , you inferred that she was trying to impress me that's why she was trying her hand on cooking Nigerian dishes!

If all you are worrying about whether a foreign chick will trap you for child support then do not have kids with one. It is that simple. Stupidity is human beings worst enemy! [/quote

As for me, I am convinced about my lady! A lady who takes time to travel a long distance by flight to an African shop, because none is in her town, just to buy African food ingredients, download YouTube videos of steps to cook Egusi soup and actually cooks a pot of Egusi soup with cow tail! My grandma actually wants to teach her more! That's more than a leap of faith, it is preparation for life as a Nigerian wife! If I am your brother, will u advice me to dump such a lady for a "nice" Nigerian girl? It's different strokes for different folks! If na so die be, I go put tooth pick for my mouth, stroll out to meet it, with a big smile plastered on my face!

It's not that simple! Shit do happen! Sad but true! Not very accidental discharge release live bullets cos you might get lucky to be hit by a blank bullet, grin tongue !Not everyone is so cold blooded as to go for an abortion! Most of the child support "entrapment " stories that I have come across, are from the U.S. and UK. You can google and read sad stories of mixed kids in Russia! Most of them are kids of African students who have returned to their countries after studies ! They are not readily accepted in the society cos of their skin colour! Go to Germany, it is the same! So, getting married to a foreign lady and raising kids with them , is not bread and butter! There are also issues with such union!

Personally,I actually didn't fancy foreign ladies, though, I have met a lot of them( in the dark, all dogs may bark different, but they look alike!) until I met one on August 2nd,2014,On Nairaland of all places! I can assure you that my life has been one happy whirlpool . She is the best thing that ever happened to me since I started dating! She has her issues ( everyone does), but the way that she handles it, that's what knocks my feet off! I will say she is actually different from other girls that I have dated because her simplicity , honesty, compassion , open mindedness , empathy for the less privileged, is scary! She is best friends with my Sisters and their kids,my grand mom and actually takes time to call my grand mom, which is actually shocking because I have never introduced any girl to my grand mom because she have her own ideas about marriage and might reject my girls for one reason or the other! My grandma actually loves her and threatened to deal with me if I breaks her heart!
I will say that deep down in Nigerian guys, though, we don't actually admit it to the ladies, we love ladies that offer something different, and skin colour is not definitely a barrier. The foreign ladies have a different mentality and approach to their relationship. Though they have their own issues e.g the need for regular communication, constant expression of your feelings, full disclosure of your past, family planning, relocation if you are in different time zones...., they are different to most modern Naija babes, and I repeat most, because there are still good girls in Nigeria, even, better than most foreign girls. They don't ask for regular Blackberry subscription , they don't bother u for Indian or Brazilian weavon, etc! My advice is this- be careful o because some foreign girls nor good o! Dem go use child support take dabaru your life! It's not always about obtaining a passport or having kids with exotic looks (those are just bonus), just follow your heart! Auf wiedersehen !

First, you will spend about 350k naira on document legalization. Next, you think of admission and language of study. Next, you think of having cash of about 10,000 euros, and also you will have a separate 10,000 euros for your own visa application. Perhaps, a sponsor will make it easier.
You have to think about this issues before even considering Austria as a place of study.
