Cos it takes about 7 days till ur stuffs returns back to u. So u dnt ve to get to d airport without ur levels.
Thanks for your response, although I had to decode what you meant by "levels". In that case, I think it's even better for one to choose above 7 days to avoid touching stories with the ineffective courier services we have in Nigeria. Imagine someone who has chosen exactly 7 days (travel date) from the passport submission date and has even paid for flight ticket!! Then DHL now delays in returning the passport within the stipulated time frame.

I went to the embassy this morning to pick up my visa as opposed receiving it via a courier service after a minimum of 7 days (I submitted
my passport on the 23rd).

This is because while submitting my passport and insurance, I also included a letter explaining why i needed to travel as soon as possible due to
the fact that my enrollment deadline was fast approaching.

To my surprise, I received a mail from the embassy on Friday telling me to come collect my visa this morning.

I learnt a lot from this forum which is why i am documenting my process here to help others facing some of the challenges i faced.
Congratulations!! I even was about asking after the travel date you chose, if it's exactly 7days(ie August 30th) from the day (August 23rd) you submitted your passport.

Hello house.... I've been trying my very best to read through the thread rather than ask unnecessary questions but this particular post isn't much clear to me.

**Please indicate your travel date, bearing in my that your departure should be scheduled "at least 7 days from the posting of your envelope"**
I dug this out from an A.M mail a moniker posted while reading through the thread in part 3 (around page 360-365)

For those whom have all gotten their visas, please I need to clarify if this message further means that one should choose a travel date "at least 7 days from the day he/she will submit the passport+travel insurance" @ the consulate.

For example, one submits the passport on August 1st and chooses August 8th as his/her travel date.

Thanks for your responses

Pls I will like to know if it's going to raise a red flag if I get d travel insurance b4 my visa interview
Getting a travel insurance prior to interview doesn't increase ones chances of getting a visa. Why not wait till you are called to submit your passport/travel insurance. If you have been following the thread, you would have read that a travel insurance can be obtained in few hours from any insurance company.

I used Ensure Insurance and paid 20k for 6 months. I did everything online and a softcopy of the insurance certificate was sent to me within 3 hours; while the hardcopy was sent 4 days later.
Was the soft copy accepted by the Consulate or you still had to wait till the hard copy arrived before going to submit.

Goodday house, please what happens if you arrive at your school in Germany late after enrollment deadline like one week after lectures have already started due to late arrival of your visa from the embassy? Would your school send u back to Nigeria??
Ahn ahn.. maka why!!
Please don't be paranoid brother. Just send a mail to them(copy email addresses of the admissions office, international office, program coordinator) explaining the reason behind the delay stating that you have already fulfilled the requirements needed to obtain your study permit (visa) but logistics issues is presently delaying the arrival of your international passport.

Some one else might have a better opinion. this is just my own view.

Please how long does it take to get your visa delivered after you have submitted your international passport n travel insurance? Especially when u reside in lagos
if you submitted in person, then it wouldn't take that long. I think 7 working days maximum, although I may be wrong cos I heard some people have gotten their passports even the same day. Maybe experienced hands in the house may have a better knowledge instead.

Yes, that's right.

Tell her to mail (e-mail) the school. Asking if the school had received her application and what's the status of her application. Or

Why is her/his admission letter not yet ready as the case maybe.
Honestly speaking, I'm still surprised. she ought to have gotten a response by now. I have sent all Rhine waal contacts(both emails and phone no) to her sef.

Hello house please I need to confirm this. I friend of mine told me that her application was approved last month by Uni assist and she did you pay any 75 euros. She is heading to Rhine waal University but yet to get an admission. I advised her to call the school to know if her application has been sent to them.

I have been admitted oo. I'm just trying to help a friend of mine.

Read a page backwards and you will see where someone wrote it. Bro this is not the time to start asking whether the have started giving out dates or not. There is always an epitome of truth in every rumour, so please just send and you might be lucky. cheers

@neccki, some schools do give Transcript addressed to Institutions to student for onward delivery to the institution concerned.

For instance, Student A's transcript addressed to a German University can be given to the student who will then figure out a way to forward it to that German University.

This is not ideal though and only a few schools do this. Most school prefer sending it direct and would rather give the student a student's copy which isn't an official copy.
I thought this issue had already been settled. Let's move forward bro. The next gist now is that the consulate has started giving dates again. I read this some minutes ago on this thread. I HOPE YOU HAVE SENT THEM A MAIL!

Lol!......You're just acting funny.

Does Student Copy means Fake? Please understand the sentence bfor typing.

Mostly when schools (Nigeria in Particular) give a student a Transcript. It is usually a Student Copy. I repeat, Student Copy. I never

said it is not Original (Fake) as you term it.

I have my schools Official & Student Transcript. So i know this very well
Same here... You are absolutely right.

Dnt discourage ppl from going to interview with Dia transcript.

If ur VO dnt hammer on it dnt mean another VO can't.

Besides, my own vo asked to be sure mine was in my doc submitted.

Some did not submit dia cv or employment letter, mine asked to be sure it's dia.

So, dnt put ppl into trouble.

Let them carry every document possible by the side.
Okay sir... #case closed#

My school doesn't give transcript to students for personal use. Do you have any idea how i can handle this but i have my statement of result
No worries then, it will still suffice. The reason I gave the VO mine was simply because she asked for my grade during my project defence. It's not a mandatory requirement so please don't get yourself bothered about it bro.

Ur boigraphic doc is not necessary
Don't forget to take your uni transcripts just in case the VO requests for it.

hello congrats!...what did you answer in numbers 4 & 15?
Bro...You have to figure out what to answer for number 15. It's a personal question because whatever you say, you must know how to back it up since they might input virtually every response of yours into their system. For example, during my interview, I told them (the VO) my sponsor owns a company and I immediately showed the VO an evidence to back that up in order to avoid further interrogations on the subject. These VOs like it when you have a proof of whatever you say as it makes the processing faster. I hope this helps.

May God Bless you jaree @magnificient7.

This is the kind of people we want in this forum. People who learnt from the forum and are ready to give back to the forum.

To the remaining folks who had their Interviews and are yet to share em Please Do so

@magnificient7 :
Well, it seems your interview went well. Also had my interview but it wasn't a German VO. She also asked me same questions too but didn't give me any sheet of paper to fill. She said I should go straight to the point at first, so I knew I had to summarize my speech throughout. She also asked me about my sponsor and his/her occupation. She asked me about my Bsc Project and I should even discuss it in details o. Finally she asked me my project grade.
