crazykid:Which would you have preferred? Being married to a Jezebel with a dozen of kids and you are not happy, or being married to an Angel without children but u are comfortable with the woman you got married to? It depends on what you want out of life and ur home. Different Stroke for Different Folks! |

I guess this is coming from a mature mind, but i doubt if some will see it that way rather than insinuating things just like what is happening in neighbourhood now. |
Romance / Re: Would You Have Gotten Married/Will You Ever Marry If: ? by Keziah(f): 2:04pm On Oct 06, 2007 |
But the thread is not only focusing on Nigerian men or women but the whole world in general because as much as we desire or try we can never create children out of our wish and despiration but God gives as He wishes. I guess that's why they never included that part in the citation of the marriage vow. If not, Sapiro i sure say na your kinsmen for first stand up hala 'HE DON'T' before you for say 'I DO' Talk true she i lie? |

@liftedone I love your reply and the way you analyzed everything. I wasn't directing the question to men, but i actually thought it's laughable at the way Nigerian men view the issue of having children in married as a criteria for them getting married. I was watching Catalina Y Sebastain yesterday and Observed that the Kikis never had a child of their own but they were still married till old age. My sis if na Naijaman them go don divorce the woman tey tey and marry hundreds after her if them no produce Pikin(s), even if na the man get problem. |

Absolutely nothing wrong with it as long as both of you are in love |
Romance / Re: Would You Have Gotten Married/Will You Ever Marry If: ? by Keziah(f): 1:19pm On Oct 06, 2007 |
My point? Marriage is not as fashionable as it used to be ---anywhere in the world!@ almondjoy Says who? I think that's a Myopic view. No offenses! I still have tons of friends who vow to do anything to get married even if it's only the Court Wedding they have the privilege of doing. That way you are dignified and ur children don't have to be labelled 'Bastards' by Society, and besides one still has the right to lay claim when married properly. This thread applies to both sex, so who said there are rules anymore? Please get real. |
Romance / Re: Would You Have Gotten Married/Will You Ever Marry If: ? by Keziah(f): 1:03pm On Oct 06, 2007 |
Why not? Afterall many claim to marry for love nowdays and they can adopt if they want. But this apply to both sex. If you like born one or Ten that will still not prolong ur longevity . Personal opinion though. |
Romance / Your Partner To Be/partner's Best Friend Is Much Younger Than Both Of You. by Keziah(f): 12:59pm On Oct 06, 2007 |
What will be your reaction if your 'Partner/Partner to be' introduces a much younger person to you as his/her best friend? Will you respect his/her choice or you let hell freeze until he/she denounce that friendship. I am currious to know because this is causing commotion in my neighbourhood right now. |
Romance / Would You Have Gotten Married/Will You Ever Marry If: ? by Keziah(f): 12:29pm On Oct 06, 2007 |
Imagine if the vow taken at the Alter before you are pronounced Husband and Wife was said this way "For Better for Worse, , TO BEAR OR NOT TO BEAR CHILDREN, Till Death Do Us Apart" Amen. Would you have still gotten married/will you ever consider still getting married or rather stay unmarried and sire children out of wedlock? I personally think Nigerian men would never have gotten married if that be the case but what's your own answer/opinion? There is a poll set up for that, and your response is greatly appreciated. Thanks. |

People have been saying Yar'adua's head as the President should bring good luck to Nigeria all these while that the Fifa Under 17 Competition In South Korea was on. After Super Eaglet's victory yesterday, everybody concluded that it was Yar'dua's luck that brought it about. People how true is this? |

@fatty27 Pls don't be Hasty why u are condemning or criticising a person. Read a post thoroughly, comprehend and understand the person's point before u start replying. Was there any place where i condemned or dehumanized a village girl. Let's be frank, i was once a village girl before i came to Lagos so cut that crap pls. I quoted someone and gave him the reasons why most people go for village chicks. I even said they are considered more respectful and decent than the city chicks in most cases. So what's ur stress abi ur eye dey shook u? @crazykid If anyone should not be called an illiterate then how come the word came to be. Don't deceive urself it's either u are an illiterate or u are not, there is no two ways about it. Once a person was an illiterate and the person get educated, that person is no longer an illiterate. So u get ur facts right before u post. By the way did u at all read the reply of the person i quoted. The same advice goes to you. |

Romance / Re: All For Love by Keziah(f): 7:09pm On Sep 09, 2007 |
olanajim:As for those going to the villages to marry a wifey, i think they just want a wife to dominate (the type that won't argue much in anything they say). Or perhaps they are afraid that the city girl can disappoint them or cheat on them when they least expected or they just feel the village wifey is more decent than the city babe. As for the educated ignorants, yes i have heard and seen alot of them and to tell u the truth they get me pissed off more than the average man that didn't attend nursery School. Infact they are among the class i referred to as Illiterates in my post. SwtNsoFLyy: Ur 1st Question: No. He/She doesn't have to possess a Masters or something equivalent but such a person must be really, really intelligent as in more intelligent than me. Ur 2nd Question: Yes. Those are the Agbayas i am rereferring to. And as Olanajim rightly called them "Educated Ignorants/Illiterates" including those that didn't go to school at all. I have seen people graduate school who slept in class, and don't have the least CLUE whats going on. They hold a degree, but even the most 'aauthenticiece of paper doesn't put them above a man or woman who is more driven & determined , and have not had that opportunity. Or another illerate type ,, someone who thinks, acts, and behaves in such a way that is not a positive challenge to my mental growth as a partner. If you can not hold an intelligent conversation with that person beyond 'I LOVE YOU' or 'you're so fine' , OK. so now that we've established this, for the record, how do we move forward from this point? that is the question. If they can't seem to parallel your motivational drive, why invest energy, when its all about knowing yourself and what you desire complimentary wise in your partner's sense of himself, his intellect, and his communication level when they clearly don't display such characteristics? So these 2 types of illlerate men? You have said it all. Those are the two categories of Illiteracy i am referring and neither one i will ever get married to. I rest my case! |
