@lololo Love is more than emotions, and it is much more than a good feeling. But our society has taken what God has said about love, sex and intimacy and changed it into simply emotions and feelings Well said. But who do believe or pay attention to that kind of love nowadays? Only few, very few ones i tell u. |

This happened a long time ago but whenever I remember the experience I am always like chei! Na only God go help this Gal. I was a bit young by then, and living with my eldest bros and sis who were still a bit dependent then. There was this rich Aunt of mine whom we depend much on, during the weekends or whenever we are broke we always go to her for some extra cash and food (including cooked ones). So, this fateful Christmas my eldest Bros went to her place and told her we were broke and we didn’t cook any Christmas delicacies (he was actually lying and look for some cash) but unfortunately he didn’t get much but ended up with Coolers of Fried Rice, Jollof Rice and Salad. But the problem was that we already have enough food, so we have to keep the foods in the Fridge till the next day. So, the next day, I woke up very early in order to fill my tank as much as I can before anyone wakes up. Imagine this; I took time and turn to warmed the Jollof Rice, Fried Rice and SALAD . But when it was time for me to eat I was wondering why the salad was looking the way it is but I just shrug off and kept eating but the taste wasn’t nice anymore so I returned it and kept eating. The problem started when sis and bros wanted to eat. Sis was staring hard at the salad and at me, and I was like my God make sis no punish me for being so selfish and she was like did u warm this thing? And I am like I swear to God I did. My dear sis was up-mouthed and staring hard at me as if I have grown wings , it was my bros who was rolling hard with laughter that got irritated and I was like did I miss anything? And my sis was like yes u did! U missed out when ur mates were being taught how to cook and be civilized . I received a lecture on womanhood abi na girlhood for a very long time and even my dear Aunt got to hear of it. Since then if I no know, I dey ask make sabi sabi no go kill me. |

All of us having being talking, talking and talking about the problem without offering a solution. I have a Great solution to this: STRATEGIC SOLUTION TO HARASSMENT OF NPF. 1. We all Nairalanders talk 2 Seun to give us permission to organize a Concert 2. We will tag the Concert "Save the Poor" 3. We ll invite the whole world (since Nairaland is for Nigerians and friends of Nigeria) 4. All Nairalanders will perform (according to Ur talent) 5. All the money/monies realized (estimate of trillions by my calculation) 6. We ll donate all the monies to the Nigerian Police Force from our large heart in order to avoid future harassment. 7. Once in our lives (Nigerians in this generation) we ll be totally free from NPF until the days of ur children's children . But since by His grace nairaland will still be available for them they can always see my great solution and repeat it over and over again from generation to generation. This is my Widows mite straight from my Large Heart. Am i not great ? Someone tell me if i am not a genius, Seun we can be partners sha. What do u say? |

jewelking: LOL. Same here, I am going to be carring a Camera Phone both for recording, i really mean thses bastards this time. But, i don't pray to be taken to their station, cos if they do, they certainly search and sieze ur phone before u get to use it against them or even call a Lawyer. So be really careful with these people, because they can even shoot u if they know what u are doing. |

LOVE 1. a profoundly tender, passionate affection for another person. 2. a feeling of warm personal attachment or deep affection, as for a parent, child, or friend. 3. sexual passion or desire. 4. a person toward whom love is felt; beloved person; sweetheart. "Different Strokes for Different Folks," they say. Different people have different definition for Love judging by the actions or emotions. But as for you what's your definition of "LOVE"? |

Health / Re: Toilet Disease, Real Or Imaginary? by Keziah(f): 12:38pm On Aug 31, 2007 |
@naijaking1 I think toilet still plays a crucial role in the transmittion of these diseases. I say this because: 1. If u use share a water system with someone who has such disease and the water splash on ur privates i guess u will be at risk of catching such, 2. If one uses an infected latrine/pit toilet, i understand that the heat or vapour that comes from such toilet is really dangerous and poisonous. 3. I understand most ladies who are not promiscuous can also catch it through these media simply by opening themselves to the heat or the water that splash from such toilets when defacing or urinating. Those are the most reasons why most people refer to them or generalize them as toilet disease. So I'll say toilet spread it faster than sex. Because 20 or more people can have access to such toilet than to a Carrier via sex. |

@bencobenz Pele. I am laughing hard here. Atleast u carry something when the unlearned abi na illiterate policeman call illega. I wonder the kind of training they give them before they join the force. When i see most of them at roadblocks i am always like na waoo! U could actually see an idiot that droped out of Nursery/Pry school go and join the police force and the guy go even dey claim right give you. I sincerely hope that the I.G or Commissioner for once do something meaningful about these men before they will turn to full time armed robbers in daylight. |

On an occasion, I know a guy who lives in Gowon Estate, Egbeda and was on his way to fill his cooking gas closeby, right within the estate when the policemen claiming to be Anti-Robbery Squad attached to the Nigeria Police at Gowon Estate, Moshalashi Bus-stop, Ipaja, Lagos stopped him. The team was led by one Edo indigene named Constable Oscar. Having checked the entire car and found no fault or offence, Oscar had asked for an ID which my friend left at home, having just returned from work, realizing his gas is finished and was dashing down to the gas station nearby. He had presented his driver’s license and all documents of the car. Two gas cylinders were on the seat of the car to prove intent. He had some of his complimentary cards which he also tendered. Somehow he had not his I.D. They insisted that his crime was not having his I.D. and he must follow them to the police station. This was very ridiculous so at a point my friend got infuriated and fired back at them that not having an I.D. cannot be said to be a crime. Is the country not aware that there is a high level of unemployment in Nigeria and does our constsitution make having a job a mandatory requirement for being a Nigerian or living in Nigeria. He asserted his position that that is not enough reason to be arrested when evidence abound through the car documents and Driver’s license of his true identity. Team leader Oscar desperate for a loot, quickly looked around and accused my friend of carrying a police sticker when he was not a policeman and forced him to the station. After delaying my friend unduly for about three hours, he ended up coughing out N1,000 to the crookish cops, Oscar and Co of the police station. A few days later, a senior police officer explained in the Punch Newspaper that it is no crime to have a police sticker on your car even if you are not a policeman. It is not impersonation. It is identifying with the police, being proud of the police and advertising the police. It is actually a commendable practice to agree to wear a police sticker on your car, especially considering the poor image and unfriendly attitudes of the Nigeria Police. It is a dis-service to your person and your car but one is urged by patriotic sentiments. So u can see my point and greviances against our so-called Police (the bad eggs) |

@sojioguns, I don't leave at Ogba or near Ogba, you have to pay as much as N120 or N150 to get to my place from Ogba and the people arrested here are mostly Jambites/postjambites? and job seekers. That shows that these people they are theives and are in places where they were not even supposed to be. By the way i don't think you have to put on the kind of Suite Daddy Adeboye or Chris Oyakhilome puts on before u are be viewed as a responsible citizen. What is wrong is wrong let's face it! |
