The interview is nothing to worry abt. Its a long list of question but there was non I wasn't expecting. Dy ask y I chose dre county n not anywhere else, dy ask abt my family n so on. Its just an interactive section no big deal.

Got d age declaration for 700 at the Hight court close to my house. The NPC birth certificat cost a total of 5000k i was told av passed the age they issue for free. So I had to got to state office to get a form n den to court to sign. Submitted with 5 passport n 3 passport each of 2 garantors. I got it same day.. I av a friend there though

I couldn't find such information on the checklist too. But I av gotten the npc birth certificate n also age declearation to be on the safer side.

Thank you cos I have finally gone to the Embassy for account opening and I hope the Embassy won't send the forms with post office oh cos they are on strike in Lagos. Or do they use courrier?

They have dre own means of sending doccument so dre is nothing to worry abt

It cost 3k euro to obtain verpflichtungserklärung from the Local Office or if ur sponsor is working ,he must earn atleast 1,25o euro then no need for d 3k.meanwhile the 3k is refundable if u return back to ur country after ur stay.He or she must resident in germany but no necessarily permanent (
befristet und unbefristet permit ).

Its quit easy. It cost 50Euro or so. The person must be a permanent residence. Am not sure but I think the account will be verify even before awarding the declearation at the local office... Word of advise: its always better u open the blocked account, it gives u an advantage in gettin d visa n makes life a lot easier when you get to germany. Guys you won't find money on d street and its not easy for foreigners to get job considering the language barier and trust me YOU ARE ON UR OWN...

NO. You can only book an appointment when you av a proof of finacial means, (7908 Euro in a blocked German account or official declearation of sponsorship) a copy of data pag of your international passport, and your addmission letter. And don't forget you are to send it through courier. All the best

I only applied to one school in germany and I got admission from the one school. I applied to the school directly and also through daad.de not through uni-assist. No application fee was paid.

100 percent sure. Make sure u fill the form before printing.the embassy will certify the form n send it to the bank.the whole process takes 3 weeks at most and once the account is opened, a confirmation email will be sent to your email which will contain ur bank details.at dis point u can make ur deposit

kelly4top: at all, pls I downloaded the Germany account opening form and am ready to go to the embassy for account opening but pls all, do I need to print the account opening form in coloured or black and white? I am going for Summer semester for Engineering.

U will fill the form on the computer before printing it. Print in black and white ink. Go to the embassy with the form, ur innternational passport and prof of admission. The prof of admission is not composary though but make sure u get to the embassy btw 6am and 12 noon

They av dre way of sending document. Just be calm n follow every instruction. No you don't need any photography to open the account

No the embassy does not charge anything its absolutely free. How every the bank will remove 50EURO as service fee after you have made all you deposite n arive in Germany. U can go anyday monday to friday btw 7am n 12noon. But I suggest u go January cos it appears the embassy is on vacation.

You will receive a confirmation mail from the bank max 3 weeks after you submit at the embassy.

i dont understand what you mean that you applied through DAAD,DE.some university in DAAD.DE will direct you to uni assist while some will tell you to apply dirctly to the university.Do u send any application directly to DAAD.DE?Is your program free tuition?

You guys won't just understand till u get out there. Evry seconds count. N I can assure u all the questions you guys are asking has bin already answered in prevoius post. Ppl ask anoying question. Germany is a 'police state' they are detailled ppl. They tell you what to do, how to do it n where to do it... Once u abide u av no problem u will always get wat u want. For anything partaining admissionn, go to daad site or google study in germany. U will av all the information u need. One love

I was offered a place at the hamburg university of applied sciences for a Masters in public health program starting march 2013.I av already open d blocked account and make a deposit of 8000 euro as required. Are you appling for a school in Germany? Ife yes it is best you apply through DAAD. You can visit www.daad.de for further information. DAAD will ask u to chose maximum of 3 schools which dy will send ur application. U can den address ur transcript to ur first choice school. Note ur daad application will also iinclude a copy of uur transcript which will be frwrded to dos schools. You will be contacted directly by the school if additional document is required.
