The FIFA U-20 World Cup has been a thrilling showcase of young football talent, and the quarter-final stage is shaping up to be a showdown of epic proportions. One of the standout matches will see Nigeria’s Flying Eagles go head-to-head with South Korea for a coveted spot in the semi-finals.

With both teams displaying exceptional skill and determination in their previous matches, football enthusiasts around the world eagerly anticipate the outcome of this highly anticipated clash.

Nigeria's U-20 Team Defeat Host, Argentina to Advance to FIFA U-20 World Cup Quarterfinals

South Korea secured their place in the quarter-finals after a pulsating 3-2 victory over Ecuador. Taking an early lead through Lee-Young-Jun’s strike, they doubled their advantage with Bae Jun-Ho’s goal.

Ecuador fought back with a penalty from Justin Cuerto, but Choi Seok-Hyun’s goal restored South Korea’s two-goal cushion. Ecuador managed to score again, setting up a thrilling finale, but South Korea held on to secure their quarter-final berth.

Meanwhile, Nigeria’s Flying Eagles caused a major upset by defeating the tournament hosts, Argentina, with a resounding 2-0 victory. Their solid defense and clinical finishing left Argentina stunned and set the stage for an exciting encounter against South Korea.

This is not the first time Nigeria and South Korea have met in the U-20 World Cup. The two teams clashed in 2005 during the group stage, with South Korea emerging victorious with a 2-1 win. The Nigerian side, featuring future star Mikel Obi and talented defender Taiye Taiwo, took an early lead but ultimately couldn’t hold off their opponents.

Their paths crossed again in 2013 when Turkey hosted the tournament. This time, it was Nigeria who prevailed, securing a 1-0 victory over South Korea. The Flying Eagles demonstrated their resilience and skill, ultimately advancing to the next stage of the competition.

Nigeria’s Flying Eagles have a notable history in the U-20 World Cup, finishing as runners-up twice, in 1989 and 2005. However, they are hungry for their first championship title and will be determined to add another victory to their campaign.

South Korea, although they have reached the final once in 2019, fell short to Poland in a 3-1 defeat. Both teams have a lot at stake in this clash, making it a thrilling contest to watch.

The stage is set for an enthralling encounter between these two talented sides. Fans can expect a display of skill, teamwork, and fierce competition as Nigeria and South Korea vie for a spot in the semi-finals. The Estadio Único Madre de Ciudades in Santiago Del Estero will bear witness to this exciting match, scheduled for 6 pm on Sunday.

As the FIFA U-20 World Cup quarter-finals approach, the clash between Nigeria’s Flying Eagles and South Korea promises to be a captivating battle. With their respective strengths, past encounters, and aspirations for victory, both teams are prepared to leave everything on the field. Football enthusiasts worldwide eagerly await this exciting showdown, as the young talents aim to create history and secure their place in the semi-finals of the tournament.

The Flying Eagles, as Nigeria’s U-20 team is known, took the lead in the 61st minute through Ibrahim Muhammad. The lead was doubled in stoppage time thanks to a goal from Rilwanu Sarki.

Argentina had several chances to equalize, but they were unable to find the back of the net. The Flying Eagles held on for the win to set up a quarterfinal clash against either Korea Republic or Ecuador.

The win was a major upset, as Argentina was considered one of the favorites to win the tournament. However, Nigeria played a strong game and were able to get the result they needed to advance.

Politics / How Mele Kyari, NUPRC CEO Komolafe Received Kickbacks & Award Oil Bloc To Indian by kidap: 4:09pm On Feb 20, 2023
How Mele Kyari, NUPRC CEO Komolafe Received kickbacks and Awarded Multibillion Dollar Oil Bloc to Indian Fugitive

How Mele Kyari, NUPRC CEO Komolafe Received kickbacks and Awarded Multibillion Dollar Oil Bloc to Indian Fugitive

A preliminary report has revealed the how CEO of NNPC Limited, Mele Kyari, and the CEO of NUPRC, Gbenga Komolafe, conspired together and awarded the Kolmani oil block to Nitin Sandesara, the Indian fugitive who duped Indian banks of over $2.1billion and took refuge in Nigeria.

This is according to Jackson Ude, publisher of Point-Blank News, in a post on Twitter. According to Ude, during the scheme, NNPC, pushed aside an indigenous company that had founded the oil field, preferring to award the Kolmani bloc in Bauchi/Gombe to the crooked Indians who recently paid $35million to senior officials of the APC Government towards the 2023 Presidential elections.

Ude further claimed that the indigenous company had been given a license to explore the oil field and had made significant investments in the project, only to be sidelined by NNPC in order to award the bloc to the Indian company. This, according to Ude, is a clear case of corruption and cronyism by the APC government.

This revelation has major implications as it raises questions about the integrity of the APC Government and the awarding of oil blocs to non-indigenous companies.

The goal of this investigation is to uncover the corrupt practices of the officials in NUPRC, who are using front companies and a lawyer to purchase marginal fields, and then using a lady to store the proceeds of the transactions. The investigators will soon be releasing the names of the lawyer and lady involved in the scheme.

Politics / Naira: Timi Frank Accuses APC Of Fueling Crises To Force Election Postponement by kidap: 12:52pm On Feb 16, 2023
Former Deputy National Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress, Comrade Timi Frank, on Thursday, accused the APC of fueling agitations and riots over the scarcity of new Naira notes to heat up the polity, make the country insecure and cause election postponement.

Frank who made this assertion in a statement in Abuja, however called on President Muhammadu Buhari, not to bow to APC’s pressure and blackmail through ongoing sponsorship of riots to trigger election shift.

He insisted that the ruling party is fueling the crisis to enable them perfect their vote buying and rigging strategies ahead of the elections.

He said: “It is unfortunate that the APC has chosen a dangerous route to retain power by instigating killings and destruction of property by paid irate mob protesting scarcity of new Naira notes.

“I dare say that the country is bigger than any political party or party candidates. Instigating crisis to provoke a postponement of the elections is least expected of the APC.”

Frank, who is the United Liberation Movement for West Papua (ULMWP) Ambassador to East Africa and Middle East, called on President Buhari and INEC to be resolute in their commitment to conduct the elections notwithstanding the evil machinations of the APC to get the polls shifted.

He called on the international community especially election observers already deployed by statutory bodies to monitor the elections to put pressure on the nation’s election management body to hold the election as scheduled.

He insisted that if elections are being held in countries in worse security situations or experiencing full blown war, there is no justification to postpone the forthcoming elections on the basis of protests over scarcity of new Naira notes.

He added: “Even though the riots seem localized in the southern parts of the country, we have information that very soon APC will cause it to spread to states in the North.

“This to enable them sustain their blackmail and pressure on the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and Buhari to postpone the elections under the guise of widespread violence.

“We condemn this resort to violence being masterminded by the APC and we call on all well meaning Nigerians and international development partners not only to condemn this shenanigans by the ruling party but to hold it responsible for all deaths and properties being destroyed at this time as well as any postponement of the election.”

Politics / APC Group Asks CJN, Ariwoola To Resign Over Supreme Court Judgements by kidap: 2:08pm On Feb 10, 2023
A pro-All Progressives Congress (APC) group on the aiges of Progressive Minds Forum (PMF), on Friday, called for the resignation, suspension or sack of the Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Kayode Ariwoola, over alleged compromised judgements that recently emanated from the Supreme Court of Nigeria.

The group lamented that the award of Senatorial tickets to Senate President Ahmad Lawan and Senator Godswill Akpabio by the apex court was a great embarrassment to Nigeria because they did not partake in the primary election of the All Progressives Congress won by the original holders of the tickets.

The Forum also insisted that Supreme Court’s ruling to extend the use of old Naira notes was not done in the interest of Nigerians but to please and aid certain political forces from the South-west who have been clamouring for the extension because the CJN is from the South-west.

In a statement signed by the Forum's national coordinator, Barrister Preye Johnson, said that the comportment of the CJN since assumption of office does not befit a man who occupies such an exalted position and saddled with the responsibility of determining the destiny of litigants that come before the Supreme Court.

The statement said: “The Supreme Court is the last hope of the common man, but under Justice Ariwoola, justice is now for the highest bidder.

“The whole world would want to know how failed presidential aspirants like Akpabio and Lawan were awarded Senatorial tickets by the Supreme Court when they never participated in the primary election for those positions in their Senatorial Districts.

“This is a man who recently attended a state dinner in Port Harcourt and apparently after much champagne that are common in such high level political gatherings, made political statements that were unbecoming of his position as the number one jurist in the country.

“Besides only the CJN and Supreme Court Justices can tell if the recent ruling unbanning the use of old Naira notes was done in the overall interest of Nigerians or to enable the APC access enough cash to buy votes in the forthcoming elections.

“Even the Minister or Justice and Attorney-General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami, has kicked against the judgement and filed an appeal against it.

“The position of the AGF shows that the ruling lacks merit as it was apparently motivated by partisan motives and tribal sentiments which may likely plunge Nigeria into crisis if not immediately curbed.

“Needless to say that such highly compromised and spurious judgements now emanating from the apex court, under Justice Ariwoola, represent a huge embarrassment to Nigeria both at home and abroad.

“They have also cast a pall of doubt over judgements on disputes that may emanate from the forthcoming general elections.

“Therefore, the need for Justice Ariwoola to either resign his position or be sacked in order to checkmate the gross danger the Supreme Court now poses to democracy and rule of law in Nigeria.

“It is clear that the Supreme Court under Justice Ariwoola’s watch lacks integrity therefore he has no basis to continue as CJN especially in view of the forthcoming general election.

The CJN must be seen to be above board and also must be blind to all parties in the dispensation of justice in order to display extreme neutrality for justice and fairness. However, this is not what we are seeing presently.

“Since the Apex Court has proved its unwillingness to save democracy, Buhari must rise up to the task of saving democracy by ordering the suspension and investigation of the CJN and the other Supreme Court Justices involved in the above referenced cases.”

The APC members also called on the international community to place visa ban on the CJN and the Justices involved in the cases for working to undermine democracy in Nigeria.

They insisted that the judgements have set bad precedent and gravely breached the provisions of Section 115(D) of the Electoral Act 2022, especially in the case of Lawan and Akpabio.

“The whole world is still waiting to know how the Supreme Court came about its ruling making Ahmad Lawan and Godwill Akpabio candidates when it is clear they were both presidential aspirants under the APC.

“The Electoral Act 2022 is very clear that an aspirant cannot contest for two different positions in one election cycle.

“Section 115 (D) of the Act stipulates that ‘a person who signs a nomination paper or result form as a candidate in more than one constituency at the same election commits an offence and is liable on conviction to a maximum term of imprisonment for two years.’

“We appeal to international community to help save democracy in Nigeria by ensuring that the CJN and all justices involved in the recent ruling on Lawan and Akpabio are placed on visa ban,” he said.

Politics / Timi Frank Urges USA, UK, EU To Prevail On Buhari, INEC Not To Postpone Election by kidap: 11:44am On Feb 09, 2023
Former Deputy National Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress, Comrade Timi Frank, on Thursday, called for the intervention of the United States, United Kingdom and European Union to prevent plot to postpone the forthcoming general election.

Frank who made this call in a statement in Abuja said there is a potent plot by enemies of democracy to cause a postponement of the elections to enable them perfect their rigging strategies.

According to him, it has become imperative for leaders of advanced democracies and defenders of freedoms like the USA, UK and EU, among others, to impress it on President Muhammadu Buhari and the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) not to succumb to APC’s blackmails, but to conduct the elections as scheduled.

He insisted that their intervention would not only ensure that the elections are held as scheduled but will help save democracy in Nigeria.

He said in a recent media report that the APC is seeking postponement of the elections for four weeks, and it has vindicated his position that the ruling party has commenced plot to derail the elections.

He said: “The purpose of calling for shift of date of elections is not in the interest of Nigerians, it is being motivated by their Presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, who used a similar method to emerge flagbearer of the party for 2023.”

He insisted that APC Governors at the behest of Tinubu have been mobilized to blackmail INEC and Buhari to postpone the elections so as to enable them perfect their rigging plot.

Frank, who is the United Liberation Movement for West Papua (ULMWP) Ambassador to East Africa and Middle East, said the APC is seeking to buy time because “they know they if elections are held today they will lose.”

He said: “APC Governors have no right to complain that people in rural areas are suffering because of fuel and Naira scarcity since they are directly responsible for the pains and suffering in the first place.

“After all, the APC Presidential candidate has confirmed to Nigerians that his party has failed hence the excruciating poverty and pains in the land.

“This is the very reason Nigerians wants the elections to hold as scheduled so they can end the tenure of this wicked and uncaring administration for good.”

He said it has become necessary for the international community to mount strong diplomatic pressure on the President not to heed the advice of nay sayers because any posts would plunge the country into unimaginable crisis.

He said the current riots in the South West and parts of South South over fuel and Naira scarcity were sponsored by the APC so they can use it as strategy to prevail on INEC and the President to shift the elections.

He added: “However, this is not the strategy of Nigeria because Nigerians are ready to go to the polls to elect their representatives for which they have since collected their PVCs.

“Already the CBN has assured INEC that whatever logistics needed by INEC to conduct the elections would be provided to make conduct of the elections seamless.

“Why is it that it is only the ruling party that is crying over a policy which they initiated. They are not working to win the elections. They are working to steal the elections. That is why they need time.

“If elections are shifted today, Nigerians will revolt because it would be tantamount to a denial of their inalienable rights.”

He urged Buhari to remain resolute and stand by his promise to bequeath a legacy of credible elections to Nigeria “which will invariably start from keeping faith with the dates as already announced.”

He further said Nigerians are worried about judgements emanating from the Supreme Court of recent and called on the Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN), Justice Kayode Ariwoola, not to play politics with election cases or confer regional advantage on particular parties or aspirants.

He said: “How can aspirants like Senator Godswill Akpabio and Senate President Ahmad Lawan who didn’t contest for primaries suddenly declared by the Supreme Court as senatorial candidates irrespective of the rightful winners of those elections?

“How can the apex court hurriedly rule against the ban on old Naira notes by the Central Bank of Nigeria, knowing fully well that the ruling would enable the APC to use slush funds denominated in old notes to engage in vote buying during the election?”

He called on the CJN to remain unbiased and an impartial jurist notwithstanding his position as stakeholder in the South West, where the APC candidate comes from.

Politics / 2023: Timi Frank Warns Buhari, INEC Against Poll Shift by kidap: 1:03pm On Feb 05, 2023
Former Deputy National Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Comrade Timi Frank, on Sunday, advised President Muhammadu Buhari not to contemplate or accept any recommendation to shift the forthcoming polls.

Frank who made this plea in a statement in Abuja, also called on the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), not to add to the current harrowing experience of Nigerians by shifting the polls.

He said the call became necessary following clandestine efforts by the APC and its 2023 Presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, to have the elections postponed because of imminent failure staring at them in the face as February 25, 2023 approaches.

He accused Tinubu of having allegedly mobilized the media and Civil Society Organizations in the 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory with huge sums to begin editorial campaigns and protests respectively to call for the postponement of the presidential elections using the excuse of fuel and Naira scarcity.

Frank, who is the United Liberation Movement for West Papua (ULMWP) Ambassador to East Africa and Middle East, called on Buhari not to succumb to the blackmail of APC and Tinubu who are presently using the APC Governors to prevail on him to shift the polls just like they pressurized him to make Tinubu to emerge as the Presidential candidate of the party.

He insisted that the only legacy Buhari will leave for Nigeria is to keep to his promise to conduct a free, fair, credible and transparent 2023 general elections notwithstanding the efforts being made by Tinubu through the APC governors to make him do otherwise.

He reminded Buhari that already, Tinubu has openly campaigned that the APC Government had failed saying that it is only by insisting on the conduct of free, fair and credible elections that will redeem his image.

He said that Tinubu and APC are seeking postponement of the elections to enable them perfect their rigging strategies ahead of the elections just like they did in 2019.

Frank said: “Buhari has promised Nigerians and the world to bequeath free, fair and credible as his legacy. He must not allow the APC Governors and the behest of Tinubu to sway him to do otherwise.

You need to prove Tinubu wrong that your government has not failed by making sure the forthcoming general election is free, fair and credible.

“The international community is waiting to see if you will keep to your promise or you deceived them with your promise to ensure holistic electoral reforms in the country.

“Nigerians are ready to go to the polls to correct the evil policies of an uncaring administration as Tinubu has confirmed in order to free themselves from hardship deliberately inflicted on them through clueless leadership.

“This is a better time to hold this election to enable Nigerians to choose whether to remain in Egypt with APC’s Pharaoh or to cross over to the promised land with the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).”

He called on INEC to resist any overtures to postpone the elections. He said do so would be resisted by Nigerians who are already fed up with the present administration and are waiting to take them out of office with their Permanent Voter Card (PVC).

Tinubu Outline Plans For Digital Revolution to Transform Nigeria To First Smart Nation In Africa, Register to Become an Ambassador

Bola Ahmed Tinubu, a presidential contender for the All Progressive Congress (APC), has outlined plans for digital revolution to transform Nigeria into the first smart nation in Africa and has set up the Smart Nation Programme Office and website to lead the charge in reviving the nation.

Although it was not easy for Tinubu to get the candidacy to pursue his “life-long aspiration” of becoming president of Nigeria, he recently teamed up with a group of young people in the technology and innovation industry to add the Smart Nation Initiative to his agenda.

This is a continuation of my plan and policies for the new Nigeria,” Tinubu remarked during the meeting, which was held at the campaign headquarters of the ‘Youths In Tech Support organization’ in Abuja.

“I am in charge of the national rebirthing agenda, which aims to champion the new Nigeria of our dreams by establishing goals such as becoming Africa’s first world-class tech-driven state with a transformation plan to become a Smart Nation, utilizing technology to transform how our families, businesses, and people live, work, and enjoy”. He mused.

“We must lead the way in envisioning, imagining, and innovating in Nigeria if we are to fully appreciate the boundless opportunities that come with the Smart Nation and digital realities.”
He added.

According to Mr. Josh Audu, Director General of the support group, “the national rebirthing campaign is open to all youths in the country. The Bola Ahmed Tinubu Center for Smart Nation Initiative is a major step ahead of other political parties and presidential contenders, revealing openly that Asiwaju is a master builder and visionary who would take Nigeria to new heights with his love of technology and creativity. We have built a website where volunteers may sign up to become Smart Nation Ambassadors and learn soft skills to help spread Smart Nation awareness in their neighbourhood. Register for your preferred role at www.batcentre.org to help make Nigeria a better place in 2023 and beyond.”Mr. Audu concluded.

Politics / Hurricane Dauda Lawal! A Spotlight On The Growing Popularity Of PDP Governorship by kidap: 5:18pm On Jan 23, 2023
Hurricane Dauda Lawal! A Spotlight on the Growing Popularity of PDP Governorship Candidate in Zamfara

For convincing, one needs to witness firsthand, any of the campaign rallies of Dauda Lawal, Governorship Candidate of People’s Democratic Party, PDP, in Zamfara, across the 14 local government areas of the State, to understand the magnitude of the mammoth following that he commands, among young and old alike.

Typical of his rallies, when you take a bird eye view to the ground, one will capture innumerable supporters likened to pilgrims on Mecca holy land, screaming ‘Sai Dauda!’ endlessly.

With this empirical evidence, it becomes more increasing clear that the over 1.9Million accredited voters in Zamfara state will vote overwhelmingly to hire Lawal for the state’s most coveted job at the Gusau government house.

Like a man destined for greatness, Lawal has continually desimated all obstacles brought his way.

It would be recalled that in September 2022, a federal high court in Gusau had initially nullified the election of Lawal as the governorship candidate of the PDP.

Lawal had, on May 26, emerged as the PDP governorship candidate.

However, some his rivals, aggrieved, had approached the court to contest the legality of the primary election, thereby leading to a rerun.

At the rerun, he still won his opponents by a landslide. This reinforces the fact that Lawal is indeed the man of the people, and he is popular among his people.

On why he wants to be Governor of Zamfara State, the one time Executive Director of First Bank, believes that his wealth of experience in finance will help to grow the state’s economy.

He believes believes Zamfara has not lived to it’s full potential since its creation almost 27 years ago.

Lawal’s fidelity to his people in Zamfara is to improve commerce by strengthening
Agriculture, and ensure efficiency in the products Zamfara is known for, which are millet, sorghum, guinea corn, maize, rice, groundnut, cotton, tobacco, and beans.

His people sees hope in him, and he has awakened as unusual comaraldry amongst his people to ensure the acutalisation of his mandate. Indeed, there is no stopping Lawal!

Politics / The Untold Story Of Timipre Sylva’s Conspiracy His State By Wole Adewumi by kidap: 3:24pm On Jan 20, 2023
With the winding down of the administration of Muhammadu Buhari, Nigerians will not in a hurry forget the several pangs of pains which the appointees of Mr. President have inflicted on the lives of ordinary Nigerians.
For the Minister of State for Petroleum Resources, this is not the best of time as a he contends with his conscience and hash verdict of history over several deliberate designs that have caused dark spots in the score sheet of the Buhari administration.

This is ranging from the provocative statements emanating from him in justifying the harrowing experience people go through over the increase in prices of petroleum products, the criminal importation of adulterated PMS under his direct supervision and the return of the dark days of long queues at filling stations, with the untold consequences of high cost of living and transportation beyond the reach of ordinary Nigerians.

In the area of oil theft, in spite of billions of naira sunk into providing private security for the upstream and downstream sectors of the oil industry in the name of surveillance service, the frightening and unbaiting increase in statistics of oil theft under the watch of the defacto Minister of Petroleum Resources Chief Timipre Sylva is not only a worrisome legacy of President Muhammadu Buhari government but will remain a nightmare in the lives of Nigerians .

In the political arena, the Bayelsa born politician, (Chief Timipre Sylva) is contending with political forces within and outside his party as he superintends over what has become the dubious revocation and re-allocation of the only prized asset of his own state to a company that was incorporated in 2019 with no technical and financial capabilities , despite having several others at his disposal.

It is a common saying that, a property kept in the custody of a thief is safe as he will not do away with it but jealousy guard it. In this case the Bayelsa born politician spared all other oil blocs in the presidential order to reverse all planned revocation of ten oil blocs , except the one he is supposed to guard jealously, which belongs to his state , the OML-46 also known as Atala Oil Field.

A source confided in this author and journalist that, “Timipre Sylva’s role was like that of the hand of Esau, the voice of Jacob”, who had a vested interest right from the stage of incorporation of HALKIN E & P in September 2019, by laying the foundation for Halkin to take over OML 46 to the revocation of the oil bloc.
To effect the revocation of OML 46, Timipre Sylva through his then Technical Assistant (Legal) at the defunct Directorate of Petroleum Resources (DPR), Dr Kelechi Ofoegbu , who was allegedly inspired by his paymaster to author a letter to one Mr. Olaowei Indiamaowei who at no time was the Managing Director of Bayelsa Oil Company intimating him of the DPR intention to revoke OML 46 at a time the COVID-19 Pandemic was ravaging the entire globe with, deaths locked down economies and movements restrictions.

The letter with reference MPR/TA/010/VOL1/010 dated 6th May 2020 and signed by one Engr. Auwalu Sarki, a Director/ CEO at the DPR on behalf of the Honourable Minister of State Petroleum Resources at the peak of the pandemic to an unknown identity was obviously part of the grand orchestration directly supervised by a man who ordinarily out of patriotism should protect an asset and patrimony of his home state. Curious persons who are within the Ministry of Petroleum resources had cause to doubt Chief Timipre Sylva’s statehood.

A man who can do such a thing to his home state can do anything for money they postulated.

Knowing fully well that Mr. Olaowei Ndiamaowei does not have the authority to respond to such a letter, the same syndicate authored another letter dated 28 February, 2021 to Chief Timipre Sylva recommending the re-award of OML 46 to Halkin E& P thus throwing due process into the air.

The said application with Ref No. DPR/1160/A/Vol.11/144 which was received on the 8th of March in the Office of the Minister of State for Petroleum Resources and Chief Timipre Sylva curiously approved paragraph 6 recommending HE&P Nigeria Limited expressly.

The justification was that Halkin E & P with RC 1611389 and registered on the 5th of September, 2019 has invested the sum of Sixty Million Dollars $60,000,000.00 as well as satisfied all relevant condition precedent for re-allocation.

Also, in that letter, both Chief Timipre Sylva and his Technical Assistant (Legal), Dr. OFOEGBU claimed to be acting on Presidential directive leading to the revocation of the Atala Marginal Field was not only discovered to be false but a criminal claim from the pit of hell. As God would make it they could not even cover their criminal track.

When pressed by the Senate Committee on Ethics, Privileges and Public Petitions during their public hearing which was witnessed by this author , a visibly troubled Dr Ofoegbu knowing the consequences of perjury as a lawyer became aggressive to the committee and promised to provide evidence to that effect.

The question begging for answer is, Where is the so called evidence of Dr Kelechi Ofoegbu and Sylva ? According to impecable source close to the Ministry of PetroleumResources, it took Sylva less than an hour to sign the approval while the DPR envoy waited like the hangman in his office to receive it for immediate execution.

Discreet investigation also showed and let me restate for the purpose of application that:-
the letter written and signed by Dr Kelechi Ofoegbu to Engr. Olaowei Indiamaowei was not only faulty but a deliberate ploy to achieve their sinister agenda, as Mr. Indiamaowei was never a Managing Director of Bayelsa Oil Company Limited.

Interestingly, President Muhammadu Buhari had earlier issued a directive to reverse all actions leading to the revocation of the ten oil blocs.

The Minister of State for Petroleum Resources and his men at the NUPRC (former DPR) complied with the presidential directive except that of the Atala Marginal Field owned by his state government.

The Senate Committee on Public Petitions, Ethics and Privileges unequivocally asserted their recommendation as they presented their report in the red chambers over the revocation of OML 46 without due process and in breach of the presidential directive.

During the public hearing, Dr Kelechi Ofoegbu who represented his boss, this time as an Executive Commissioner tried to no avail to defend the indefensible.

When he was confronted by the Senate Committee to provide evidence of alleged directives by Mr. President who is the substantive Minister of Petroleum, Dr Ofoegbu rather took to his heels as the naked truth was dawn on them that they have no evidence to substantiate their hollow claims.

Dr. Ofoegbu and his team representing the Minister of State for Petroleum Resources was given ample opportunity running into weeks to show the Senate Committee the document where Mr President directed the re-allocation of Atala (OML 46) to Hakin E & P, which they are until now unable to provide.

The senate in plenary, upon submission of report by the Senate Committee on Public Petitions, Ethics and Privileges totally condemned in unison, the criminal act of the NUPRC (DPR) and the Minister of state for Petroleum Resources, Chief Timipre Sylva and directed the compliance with the presidential directive to return Atala Oilfield to their original owners, which is the Bayelsa State government.
Our investigations further gathered that, a meeting of critical Ijaw men and women of concern was held on Tuesday 3rd January, 2023 Yenagoa, the Bayelsa State capital, in respect of the Atala Oil field.

An inside source disclosed in confidence that an action plan is being drawn by the host communities (Azagbene Federated Communities) and other critical stakeholders to deal with the revocation of Atala oil field ranging from mass protest to blocking the ever-busy East-West Road, to shutting down of oil installations as well as banning Chief Timipre Sylva from visiting his home state, Bayelsa . If no action is taken within the next few days to comply with the presidential directive.

The stakeholders had vowed to tackle Sylva and any other persons involved in what they described as criminal conspiracy against a state that has been the epic centre of agitations against years of marginalisation of oil producing communities.

Therefore, this obvious act of broad day robbery of their property will not go unchallenged through every available means at their disposal.

This is an avoidable danger signal particularly at this critical moment of the forthcoming general election which any public officer in his right senses should do everything possible to avert instead of compounding a nationwide security challenge.

Any further delay in implementing the presidential directive will not only amount to official abuse of public trust but also uncharitable disservice to the country's quest for good governance and fair deal.

Atala will not go away until the right thing is done.

Politics / “Nigeria’s Problem Is Not Corruption But Intellectual Poverty”- Prof Edward Ekpo by kidap: 11:13am On Jan 16, 2023
In a recent interview with Channels TV, Prof. Cyprian F. Edward-Ekpo, who is the
Director-General, Institute of Law Research & Development of United Nations (ILAWDUN), Washington DC, USA; Registrar, International Institute for Humanitarian & Environmental Law ( ISHERL): and Principal Executive Officer, Universal School of Eclectic Analysis, Research & Legal Studies ( UNISERL), London, United Kingdom - talked about some of the problems that bothers Nigeria’s democracy. He also disqualified Tinubu's Manifesto while calling it plagiarism.

During the interview he higjlighted some daring points from his recently published book titled, "SIX DECADES A MISSING PRESIDENT: The Untold Story Why Nigeria Fails, and Atiku Abubakar’s Rethinking of Link Between Governance Agenda and Nigeria’s Renaissance"

The book, Six Decades Of A Missing President, offers readers a series of pedagogic narrative and insightful reflections on challenges and prospects, power and politics, and vistas of development, including how ideological politics and governance mission could illuminate the path of a nation and potentials of the citizens revealing deeper truths about why Nigeria fails and opening new vistas for development.

The book is divided into two complementary segments on the sociology of Nigeria’s leadership. The first part is an epistle on all the political leaderships of Nigeria from 1960 till date while in the second part, which is solution engrossed, Cyprian Edward- Ekpo’s emphasizes and analyzes in a more substantive methodology, a presidential workplan that he finds apropos to the current maladies bedeviling Nigeria – in terms of finding a sustainable solutions to them.

Edward-Ekpo examines the system of development-driven politics as against the current trajectory in Nigeria, which constitutes the baseline of the country’s failures and her impending collapsed state status While acknowledging the importance of general political assumptions, he demonstrates how they are grounded in intellectual poverty and trivialities instead of scientific and legal norms, pragmatism, and law. He dives deeply into the classical tradition and elements of socio-political renaissance towards development with various influential objectives of international law, and illustrates how the pragmatic governance workplan christened “Five-Point Agenda” by Atiku Abubakar – Former Vice President of Nigeria, could be deployed by the citizenry and political leaders to build a better Nigeria.

The book should not be referenced to personality; rather, it should be regarded as a masterpiece that relates to issues espoused in Atiku Abubakar's Five-Point Agenda, which strikes the author as the most viable pragmatic workplan towards the Nigerian renaissance, and each of the Agenda topics are analyzed in the most pedagogic sense – with emphatic reference to the principles of sustainable development.

Politics / "Dr. Ifeanyi Odii Has All It Takes To Rescue Ebonyi State" - Amb Oluchukwu by kidap: 6:55am On Jan 06, 2023
In a recent interview with Spice Media correspondence Janet Maruiri in Nairobi, the Chairman of The Association of Ebonyi Indigenes Socio-Cultural In the Diaspora (AEISCID), Ambassador Pascal Oluchukwu spoke about some of the issues bothering governance across all political specs in Nigeria.

"My dear, the Nigerian situation is critical, and we can not continue to pet things as if they are part of the norms. The economy suffers every day. Insecurity is the order of the day. Our kids can't even go to school anymore without parents asking question and surveiling their every move. University students were home and idle for over eight months because of the strike. The deplicting economy is obvious even from afar. That is why you see millions of Nigerians clamouring for an Atiku Abubakar’s presidency. And down to state level, we can see what Dr. Ifeanyi Chuckwuma Odii is doing in Ebonyi State. The great people of the state really desire him as their governor. He is doing marvellously well in empowering a lot of women and children."

Ambassador Pascal also pointed out why he is so confident with the future of the country and the hopes surrounding young people taking the helms of affairs. He further rained accolades on the Ebonyi State PDP Governorship Candidate Ifeanyi Chukwuma Odii, who got verdicts from the Supreme Court a few weeks ago to confirm his candidacy in 2023.

"The reason why i am an Atiku guy is because of his flexibility and penchance in working with young people. That is the same reason i am happy that young people are beginning to take hold of power. I am really so excited that at this junction, Ebonyi State will be witnessing a new sense of leadership in the person of Ifeanyi Chuckwuma Odii, the PDP governorship candidate.

"He is a pinup guy for plausible leadership. He has expressed it in various capacities, both in public and private sectors. He is a young man who knows his onions, and we can clearly see that in his scorecards. When i saw his plans for the state, i was blown away with the strength and dynamism of his Manifesto. It speaks deep volumetric approach to governance. His micro-economic templates are very clear to fit in every citizen of the state. Most importantly, i admire the fact that his security strategy for the state is cohesive and robust. He gives premium to human capital development. Some of the institutional reforms i saw in the manifesto give me hope. Industrialisation is one of those mechanisms he intends to use in creating viable jobs for the youths in the state." Amb. Pascal Oluchukwu asserted.

"I am not saying all these things to troubleshoot his capacities; no, but we can clearly see what he has done for the State. He has shown goodlyness with the way he has treated his people through his philanthropic activities. He has empowered hundreds of women and young people across the state with The Ebele & AnyiChuks Foundation. He has shown leadership and made it pretty obvious that he can make Ebonyi State a major investment destination. Ebonyi has everything to feed Nigeria; all we need is a visionary leader like Dr. Ifeanyi Chuckwuma Odii. He possesses the grit, tenacity, and unyielding spirit to get things done." Amb. Pascal concluded.

Politics / Emefiele Gets 72-hour Ultimatum To Resign Or Be Sacked By Buhari by kidap: 7:45am On Dec 25, 2022
As INTERPOL Urged To Arrest, Repatriate CBN Gov To Nigeria

The Central Bank of of Nigeria (CBN) Governor, Godwin Emefiele, has been issued a 72-hour ultimatum or be removed by President Muhammadu Buhari through the National Assembly.

The ultimatum was issued on Friday by over 30 civil society organizations following allegations of “terrorism financing and economic crimes” leveled against the CBN governor by Nigeria’s State Security Service.

The state service had sought permission to arrest and detain Emefiele to aid further investigation but was denied by a Federal High Court in Abuja on account of lack of sufficient evidence.

However, the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), the Citizens Network Against Corruption and Terrorism Financing and over 27 civil society advocacy groups have called on Emefiele to humbly resign or risk being disgraced out of office.

The groups said should the CBN governor fail to step down, they would be forced to demand his sacking by the President Muhammadu Buhari and the National Assembly.

“…if there is still a modicum of honour left in Mr. Emefiele, he should immediately resign and submit himself for security examination. We, therefore, offer the assistance of urging the CBN Governor – Mr. Godwin Emefiele – to immediately tender his resignation.

“And if he fails to do so within 72 hours, both President Muhammadu Buhari and the National Assembly should invoke the relevant laws to remove him,” the group said in a statement jointly signed by their respectives

It added, “Mr. Emefiele is an economic disaster who has messed up every interventionist programme of the Buhari administration, including the Anchor Borrowers Programme and the credit facilities supposedly extended to Farmers through the Nigeria Incentive-based Risk Sharing System for Agricultural Lending (NIRSAL).

“For clarity, under his poor oversight the former Managing Director of the NIRSAL continued to stay in office over a 2018 allegation of corruption amounting to a princely sum of N5.6 billion. He was only removed from office last month after multiple protests and petitions to that effect.

“It is also under his direction, supervision and control that the worst Forex round tripping regime and scam in the history of Nigeria has been allegedly perpetuated. How then can such a man become an emergency saint and economic messiah simply because there is a credible question of National Security sabotage for him to answer?

“Yes, we must admit that there appear to be a coincidence between the maturity of the DSS investigation into his involvement in terrorism financing and the introduction of his military fashioned cashless policy (which was done without any consultation with critical stakeholders, including experts in the financial sector and the representatives of the Nigerian people).

“However, the DSS has never expressed, directly or indirectly, any disagreement with the legal and legitimate policies of the CBN. It is, therefore, unconscionable for anybody to infer that the DSS in doing its own constitutional duty is hunting Mr. Emefiele because of any policy. This is a mischief taken too far. Nigerians must not be deceived by it.

“Rather, Mr. Emefiele must be known for the economic disaster he has orchestrated. He must answer for the alleged crimes of treasonable proportion for which the DSS seeks his clarification of. It is a shame that a public officer of the standing of the CBN Governor wants everything to be politicized.

“Of course, we warned about this dangerous trend when he became partisan, openly aspiring for the Presidential ticket of the All Progressives Congress (APC), before he was forced to withdraw. Is there any Nigerian who still genuinely believes that Mr. Godwin EMEFIELE is not a partisan politician? And so, should it surprise anybody that Mr. Emefiele knows that he has crimes to answer to, but is simply polluting the public space with his trademark politics, while hiding under the headship of an independent and ordinarily non-partisan institution like the CBN?”

According to the CSOs, the Central Bank of Nigeria needs “a total, systematic and systemic cleansing” to preserve its sanctity as such, “not only should Emefiele resign or be relieved of his duties as CBN Governor, his deputies and current Directors of CBN should be investigated and all those found culpable should be sacked. The whole institution is in a mess.”

They urged President Buhari to critically look into the allegations against and invoke his powers under the law to sack the CBN Governor in case he refuses to immediately resign.

“But importantly, we urge the DSS to be unwavering in carrying out its National Security duties. No amount of blackmail or intimidation must make it backtrack from the truest and deepest professionalism that its duties require. They have our support and that of other patriots. Nigeria must remain safe, no matter whose ox is gored.

“Let us even seize this moment to salute the DSS for remaining focused and firm in the face of this organized campaign to blackmail the Service. More campaigns are coming. But the DSS must remain strong as long as it is working with the security facts at its disposal.

“We demand of the Federal Government to activate international protocols under the INTERPOL and get Mr. Emefiele back to the country to answer to his alleged crimes. For too long has he presented fake front and agenda to the president. This must not be allowed to persist.

“There are salient questions Nigerians are asking Emefiele at this critical juncture to wit:
Are You A Terrorist? If You Are Not, Why Are You On The Run?
Notable Nigerians Have Been Quizzed By THE DSS. Why Are You Hiding From Scrutiny?
Can You Run The Central Bank Of Nigeria From Abroad?
Is Mr. Emefiele too big to be quizzed and detained?”

The statement was signed by Solomon Adodo, President and Convener of the NYCN; Okpanachi Jacob,
Convener, Civil Society Advocacy Groups for Accountability and Probity; and Balarabe Musa, National Coordinator, Citizens Network Against Corruption and Terrorism Financing.

Others are Suleiman Musa,
Executive Secretary, Empowerment for Unemployed Youths Initiative; Igwe Ude-umanta, Director-General, Nigerian Youth Center for Leadership and Entrepreneurship Development, Gbolahan Adeyemi, President, Association of Artisans and Informal Workers, Chukwudi Oluoha, Executive Director, Coalitionfor Transparency and Accountability; and Friday Onuh, President, Independent Security Monitoring and Assessment Team.

Politics / "Nigeria Needs Help, Nigeria Needs Atiku Abubakar" - Ambassador Pascal Oluchukwu by kidap: 7:27pm On Dec 23, 2022
For leaders alike, it will be clear to appreciate the energy young people across Nigeria are enacting to have a grasp of good governance. This is seen from activities that have engulfed the importance of the 2023 General Elections.

In a recent press briefing with AP Media, the Chairman of The Association of Ebonyi Indigenes Socio-Cultural In the Diaspora (AEISCID), Ambassador Pascal Oluchukwu spoke about some of the qualities that make the PDP presidential flagbearer Atiku Abubakar stand out.

"I think we really need to focus on the real things, going forward. If you look at all three candidates, one thing stands Atiku Abubakar out from the other two candidates; that's his readiness to hit the ground running once he get that mantle to occupy the position of the highest office.

"His Five-Point Agenda is very clear and politically pristine. It shows how precise he is with governance. His experiences in economic development is inclusive and carries every Nigerian along. He is currently the only candidate that has emphasized on the need for restructuring and devolution of power," Amb. Pascal Oluchukwu asserted.

Ambassador Pascal also registered his reasons why he believes Atiku Abubakar is the only candidate that the odds favour to salvage the current state of the country.

"I don't really like criticizing other people's efforts or perceptions, but we must still tell ourselves the truth. The current state of the country requires prompt attention, so if we must look at every indices required to peacefully sail this country to greater heights, then we just have to rally support for His Excellency, Atiku Abubakar’s Presidency bid. All the odds favour him, because he has checked everything on the lists. He is the only one amongst the others that will swiftly activate institutional reforms. Nigeria needs help, Nigeria needs Atiku Abubakar," Amb. Pascal Oluchukwu concluded.

Politics / Mohammed Bello-Koko: Investigators Write UK Govt, Seek Visa Cancellation by kidap: 2:19pm On Dec 21, 2022
Foreign Investigators have written to the UK government seeking the outright and immediate cancellation of the visas issued to the Managing Director of the Nigeria Ports Authority, Mohammed Bello-Koko, his wife, Agatha Koko and all other members of his family over humongous corruption cases, money laundering and fraud.

The Investigators are also seeking an Exclusion order which will outrightly ban the NPA Boss and his family from ever accessing and entering the United Kingdom and its territories.

In a letter to the Home Office Secretary, 2 Marsham Street London SW1 4DF, The Rt. Hon. Suella Braverman as sighted by our reporter, the Investigators further sought for the total confiscation and forfeiture of properties allegedly obtained through questionable means.

The investigations unearthed criminal acts against Mr Bello-Koko bordering money laundering activities, fraud, forgery, tax evasion and extortion.

In the letter signed by Michael O' Leary for UK/ Ireland Investigators, they noted that as a banker with Zenith Bank Nigeria Plc, and account officer to Rivers State Government, Mr Bello-Koko stole billions of Naira in a systemic money laundering scheme with officials of the Rivers State government in Nigeria.

Their findings revealed that "On 6 November, 2015, Mr Mohammed Bello-Koko bought a property in London worth £1,750,000.00 (One million, seven hundred and fifty thousand pounds only).

"This property is located at 2a Beech Hill Barnet EN4 OJP with Title Number NGL399845 with co-ownership: with -agatha Koko. Deed attached

"This property was bought with stolen funds laundered to the United Kingdom from Nigeria." They alleged.

Furthermore, the Investigators revealed that "As Managing Director of Nigeria Ports Authority, a high revenue earner for Nigeria after crude oil, Mr. Mohammed Bello-Koko has looted the agency through several awards of fictitious contracts and money laundering schemes.

"Mr. Bello-Koko is operating the following accounts in contravention of the Nigeria Single Treasury Account policy. These accounts are used to receive millions of dollars annually and looted under his leadership.

"We cite from The Home Office “Exclusion from the U.K booklet version 1.0 page 12 under corruption.

While reminding Madam Secretary of past prosecution of the likes of former Delta state governor, James Ibori, Dan Etete, Andy Uba amongst others, the Investigators insisted that "this Exclusion Decision be invoked on the person requested".

The Investigators also applied for a FORFEITURE ORDER on the property located at 2a Beech Hill, Barnet, EN4 OJP to avoid it being sold.

Politics / “adrex Properties Is Redefining The Industry With New Ideas” – David Ogbole Onoh by kidap: 6:52am On Dec 20, 2022
We cannot forlorn the values of the Real Estate Industry from an economical scale. About 11% of GDP each year is attributable to the real estate industry, David Ogbole Onoh says

And Africa is currently taking a new thrill in the market. While some parts of the industry, especially those finance and capital market related, have increased share in GDP – the industry keeps increasing in style and dynamism.

In Nigeria, the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) of the Real Estate Services (nominal terms) has increased by 10.84% in the first quarter of 2022. Of course, every creative industry has creative heads. One of such individual is David Ogbole Onuh.

He is CEO and creative director of Adrex Properties, a 24th Century real estate and development company in Nigeria. Mr. David Ogbole Onoh thinks the real estate industry in Africa is fast evolving towards the global spec of things.

“For me, i am more concerned about driving some of Adrex’s exclusivity. We are quite different with the way we operate. We are automating our involvement in the real estate market in Africa. I try to mask any form of pressure that our Clients may feel, so we have created a system that connects the buyer and the seller.”, David said while expressing the dynamix Adrex Properties brings to bare.

“2023 will accommodate alot of dynamics in the real estate industry; and Adrex Properties is redefining these opportunities. We will be launching two of our Projects in 2023, ADREX SMART and ADREX HUB.

These are projects that are not just defined by their distinctive features and designs, but it also allows for more efforts in societal growth.

You can take Adrex Hub for example; it is a first of its kind ICT Village in Africa. It’ll open Africans up to sustainability. It’ll raise the next generation of digital Economists. The project on it’s own is revolutionary.” David Ogbole Onoh asserted.

“Although nothing can be said about where the conversations would go in 2023, but the reason behind the excitements is that the real estate industry is still growing tremendously amidst the shades of Nigeria’s plunging economy.

We are very keen in finding values from the market boom, so we calculate our odds by creating innovative concepts in assisting the industry.” Mr David Ogbole Onoh concluded.

Politics / How Top Government Officials Looted N70trillion Hidden In 29 Bank Accounts by kidap: 8:52pm On Dec 18, 2022
Court adjourns case till 6th of March 2023

Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister for Justice grows cold feet

Honourable Justice Peter Odo Lifu of Federal High Court, Ikoyi, Lagos has adjourned till 6th of March 2023 the suit seeking for the Recovery and Forfeiture of over N70 trillion of looted funds in the hands of few Nigerians.

The revered Justice presided over the suit marked No: Fhc/L/Cs/968/2021 on the 7th of March 2022 and adjourned to the 31st of March 2022 for ruling before the last adjournment till March next year.

The money said to be stashed away in 29 bank accounts mainly in Zenith and First banks is enough to fund Nigeria’s budget for three years with some change to keep. The proposed budget for 2023 is N20.5 trillion, meaning that the N70 trillion hidden by some Nigerians could effectively finance the national budget for three years.

Attempts by Muhammad T. Ismail (a private investigator) and his team to recover the N70 trillion through the office of Ndarani (SAN) & Co (Solace Law Chambers) have met a brick wall as some vested interests in high places have moved in to frustrate the case.

The investigator lamented that all efforts to recover the said loot were being frustrated by some vested interests in the Presidency, Central Bank Nigeria, Zenith Bank and First Bank.

Below is the full deposition made by the investigator:

BRIEF ON THE RECOVERY AND FORFEITUURE OF OVER N70 TRILLION NAIRA OF LOOTED FUNDS IN THE HANDS OF FEW NIGERIANS IN SUIT NO: FHC/L/CS/968/2021.

1. Muhammad T. Ismail (a private investigator) and his team were able to identify fraudulent bank accounts where trillions of illicit funds belonging to the Federal Government of Nigeria were domiciled. Mohammad T. Ismail needed a legal instrument to recover these illicit funds to the Federal Government of Nigeria.

2. Muhammad T. Ismail therefore approached Ndarani (SAN) & Co (Solace Law Chambers) and instructed him to write and request for a letter of mandate/instruction from the Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister for Justice, and also from the Minister of Finance, Budget and Economic Planning of the Federal Republic of Nigeria on his behalf, for the recovery of the illicit funds hidden in some secret bank accounts in Nigeria. These funds belong to the Federal Government of Nigeria. This letter from Muhammad T. Ismail was received and acknowledged on the 6th of January 2021 by the Head of Department of Civil Litigation in the Ndarani (SAN) & Co (Solace Law Chambers), Barr. Saidu Alfa Bala.

3. Muhammad T. Ismail also swore to an Affidavits on the same date of 6th of January 2021 in support of the instruction given to Ndarani (SAN) & Co (Solace Law Chambers).

4. As instructed and being convinced of the facts available, Ndarani (SAN) & Co (Solace Law Chambers) wrote to the Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, the Minister of Finance, Budget and Economic Planning and also to the Accountant General of the Federation. Ndarani (SAN) & Co (Solace Law Chambers) requested for a mandate and instruction to recover Federal Government looted and hidden funds on behalf of his client who is Muhammad T. Ismail. (Copies of all these letters and correspondences will be made available to you on request).

5. The Office of the Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice responded on the 14th of January 2021 by way of inviting Ndarani (SAN) & Co (Solace Law Chambers) for a meeting scheduled for the 19th of January 2021 to discuss details and procedures for the recovery with the Asset Recovery Unit in the Office of the Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice. Twenty Nine (29) bank accounts where a combined sum of over seventy trillion naira (N70 Trillion) belonging to the Federal Government was hidden were identified.

6. On the 21st of June 2021, The Office of the Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice approved and issued the letter of instruction to recover illicit funds traced to specified accounts of individuals to Ndarani (SAN) & Co (Solace Law Chambers). The letter of instruction also listed the twenty nine (29) bank accounts. The twenty nine (29) bank accounts are in seventeen (17) banks in Nigeria.

7. As expected, Ndarani (SAN) & Co (Solace Law Chambers) ran to the Federal High Court 9, Ikoyi Lagos where most of the Bank Head Quarters are domiciled. The case was between (1) The Federal Republic of Nigeria (2). The Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice as Claimants/Applicants against the seventeen banks as Defendants.

8. On the 9th of August, 2021, Hon. Justice T. G. Ringim gave several orders including an Interim Order of Forfeiture. All the Banks were served accordingly. The Banks were also to provide Ndarani (SAN) & Co (Solace Law Chambers) all documents and information relating to the listed accounts.

9. Shockingly, the Banks could not provide information regarding the ownership of twenty six (27) out of the twenty nine (29) accounts. That automatically meant that all the funds in the twenty seven (27) accounts should be forfeited to the Federal Government of Nigeria even as no one has come to claim ownership of the accounts. But this has not happened till date. The hands of the courts have been tired down.

10. Three (3) accounts stand out. The affected banks were able to provide documents relating to the three (3) accounts;

1. Zenith Bank Plc.

Account Name: NNPC (REM ACC/PRIVATE)

Account No: 1012280444

Account Bal. N32 Billion Naira

Currency Type: Naira

2. First Bank Plc.

Account Name: NNPC/ NAOC IPP SECURITY

Account No: 2006367288

Account Bal. N147B Naira

Currency Type: Naira

3. First Bank Plc.

Account Name: NNPC/NAOC IPP SECURITY

Account No: 2005942905

Account Bal. $299,613. 72 USD

Currency Type: DOLLAR USD.

11. This is the interesting part; Zenith Bank Plc., suddenly woke up from sleep and said that the N32B in Account No. 1012280444 with Account Name NNPC (REM ACC/PRIVATE) has been swept into NNPC Remittance Account (Coastal PRD Sales) Account No. 1010654418 from where it was eventually transferred to CBN/TSA Account No. 3000004989 with the CBN on the 7th of January 2016. This is not true.

12. Recall that the CBN directives for all balances/receipts due to the Federal Government or its Agencies to be paid into the Treasury Single Account (TSA) ended on or before September 15, 2015. Zenith Bank Plc. has not been able to give explanation as to the reason Account Nos. 1012280444 and 1010654418 were still operational after September 15, 2015.

13. Another shocking revelation is that Account No. 1012280444 with Zenith Bank Plc. has five (5) BVNs as follows: 22173355534,22376914983, 22193440291, 22367697055, and 22235680190. Zenith Bank Plc. has not been able to supply statement of accounts for Account Nos 1012280444 and 1010654418from inception to date. They cannot provide photograph pictures of the five (5) BVN owners.

14. Zenith Bank Plc. stated that Account No. 1012280441 (another account being investigated with N32B lodgement) belongs to Mrs Okoro Comfort with cellular number 08130734041. However, Mrs Okoro Comfort, through her counsel denied any knowledge of the said account or any other account with Zenith Bank Plc. Mrs Okoro Comfort admitted that her cellular number is 08130734041 and her BVN is 222417%%%49 different from the BVN 2236767055 attached to the account number 1012280441.

15. BVN 2236767055 belongs to Mr Okam Eze Ezenna who receives transaction alerts from Account No. 1012280441 with two (2) cellular numbers 08139383487 and 08130734041which belongs to Mrs Okoro Comfort. Account Number 1012280441 with Zenith Bank Plc. has Thirty two million naira (N32m) with no identifiable owner coming to claim it.

16. The question in the mouth of every concerned person is, what is holding back the hand of justice to declare total forfeiture of all these stolen funds to the Federal Government of Nigeria.

17. It is expected that Muhammad T. Ismail and Ndarani (SAN) & Co (Solace Law Chambers) should have a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). At the beginning of the assignment, Ndarani (SAN) & Co (Solace Law Chambers) allotted a space to Muhammad T. Ismail and his team in his office to do the leg work and provide the needed information for Ndarani (SAN) & Co (Solace Law Chambers) to do the needful. Surprisingly, Ndarani (SAN) & Co (Solace Law Chambers) has not shown any interest in signing the MoU with his client, Muhammad T. Ismail.

18. On the 7th of September, 2021 Ndarani (SAN) & Co (Solace Law Chambers) wrote to the Office of the Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister for Justice to provide Bank Account details to receive recovered funds to the tune of one hundred and seventy nine billion naira (N179B) and $299,613.72 USD from three (3) out of the twenty nine (29) accounts.

19. On the 8th of September, 2021 Ndarani (SAN) & Co (Solace Law Chambers) also wrote to the Central Bank of Nigeria, complaining against the uncooperative attitude and disobedience of court orders by First Bank Plc. and Zenith Bank Plc. Proof of service of the court orders was attached to the letters to the CBN.

20. It was after the request for bank details was sent to the Office of the Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister for Justice and a complaint against First Bank Plc. and Zenith Bank Plc. was sent to CBN that trouble started. Some persons who are in position to drive the process for the recovery of the illicit funds became threatened and they had to act fast to stop the process.

21. In their response on the 27th of September 2021, CBN stated that they cannot act because they were not served any court order and that necessary steps should be taken to effect service on the CBN to enable them respond to the request. The Office of the Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister for Justice, although received the letter of request for account details to receive recovered funds, never responded and the request not met.

22. In March 2022, Ndarani (SAN) & Co (Solace Law Chambers) invited Mohammad T. Ismail and told him that the Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister for Justice had terminated the recovery exercise but he could not show any document or correspondence from the Attorney-G eneral of the Federation and Minister for Justice to that effect. To make matters worse, Mohammad T. Ismail and his team were stopped from accessing the office and prevented from retrieving details of information in the office.

23. On one hand, Ndarani (SAN) & Co (Solace Law Chambers) claimed that the Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister for Justice had seized from pursuing the recovery of the trillions of naira for the Federal Government of Nigeria. However, he sent another SAN to represent him in court on the 7thof March 2022 in respect of the same matter that he told Muhammad T. Ismail that the Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister for Justice had seized to pursue.

24. Hon. Justice P. O. Lifu of FHC, Ikoyi Lagos presided on the 7th of March 2022 and adjourned to the 31st of March 2022 for ruling. Since then, it has been adjournment upon adjournment with the next adjournment scheduled for 6th of March 2023.

25. Ndarani (SAN) & Co (Solace Law Chambers) is now foot-dragging in pursuing the case as it should be. Mohammad T. Ismail is also not enjoying the cooperation of the Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister for Justice as it was in the beginning. The Judge only announces long adjournment to frustrate the case. The Banks too are acting above the law. CBN is not worried that trillions of naira which can service our national debt was being stolen.

26. Several correspondence had been sent to Ndarani (SAN) & Co (Solace Law Chambers) to release copies of all the correspondence relating to the recovery exercise but he hasn’t obliged. He has also refused to sign the MoU with his client, Muhammad T. Ismail who owns the recovery exercise and hired him to work for him. He is no longer showing seriousness in the recovery pursuit.

27. It can only be concluded that some persons are congregating to share over N70 trillion belonging to the Federal Government of Nigeria. We have a responsibility and a sacred duty to let the world know the truth and those who are sabotaging this nation and causing everyone to crawl while they ride on horseback...@SANEE BOLE INTERNATIONAL !

Politics / Meet Destiny Asen: Another Young Nigerian Defining The Political Space by kidap: 9:34am On Dec 15, 2022
ABUJA - The criticality of the Nigerian Political space cannot be undermined across Africa. One can clearly say Nigeria is integral in any first hand discussions across the Continent; not just in Politics - both in the Entertainments where they have vast amount of creative heads. You also cannot forlorn her strength in Sports and science. Despite the spiralling security and economic crisis, Nigeria still defines the pace in every ambits.

Amidst these many conversations about how the country has been buffeted by Crisis, they still offer themselves possibilities for what their forthcoming 2023 General Elections would bring to the pattern they want Governance to go in Nigeria.

The past several years have seen a marked increase in young people getting involved in politics and running for office in Nigeria. A couple of them have been remarkably exciting; and one of such young Nigerians is Destiny Asen.

Destiny Asen is a Senior Special Assistant to Governor Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta State, and a Vice Presidential Candidate of the opposition Party in the country. A State situated at the Niger Deltan part of Nigeria. He is in his mid-twenty and currently occupying an office that seems to drive mass exodus of youths across board.

He said he is giving no gap. He want to drive a new stretch of Youthful appeal in the political space. He is a pragmatics and he is dexterous in his approach.

"For me, I am more concerned about driving a new narrative. As we can clearly see, the youths are getting more involved in the whole processes. It is quite obvious that Nigeria is at the crossroads. The country is looking for moments of functionality. As a Senior Special Assistant on Entertainment to HE, Dr. Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa - I am particular about the ideas that will create diverse approaches to use Entertainment as a Vehicle to drive the right messages to Nigerians.

"Between Burna Boy, Wizkid, and Davido - they have a combined 2.6billion impressions globally. The numbers are quite obvious and Afrobeats is the element used in transporting the Nigerian culture these days. We mustn't ignore the strength of our crafts, and the number it can generate. I am happy that we are beginning to take charge of the possibilities and power of the Entertainment here. That is why I am going to be doing the first-of-its-kind Socio-political Musical Concert. The concert is a thrill to inspire more youths to get involved in politic, and further articulate the values of voting for Atiku/Okowa come 2023."

He seems tenacious in his approach to muscle every bits of his office, and Mr Asen doesn't want to give gap in galvanising support for his Principals. He said his appointment is a milestone of what Atiku Abubakar and Ifeanyi Okowa's government would bring to bare If elected as President and Vice President in 2023.

"Africa, Asia, Australia, New Zealand, and some parts of Europe, young people are rising up through the ranks of government, and making history. It gives me hope when I see the energy these young people are putting into governance. It actually transcends just politics alone. It is a combination of all elements that brings calm and development in the society. My appointments only gives me a clear picture of how the PDP intends to govern the country when the party takeover government in 2023. The pictures are clear - the former Vice President Atiku Abubakar and Dr Ifeanyi Okowa knows what they are doing. You can clearly see it in the President’s Manifesto. That document syndicated a Five-Point Agenda and Nigeria’s Renaissance to the global economic growth opportunities. They know how to pull Nigeria out of all these problems that has bedevilled the country." Destiny futher said.

Destiny Asen is joining that rank of Young Africans creating new dynamics in the System of things. He is not just tuned to the political areas of operations, he is Director with two emerging companies in Nigeria. He fancies the chance of using Politics as a frontier in shaping the society.

"I am a Director with Southstar Energy Group and Adrex Properties. These are emerging Companies holding their stake in both the Oil and Gas, Real Estate Industry respectively. These companies can only grow from Indigenous brands to the global fronts if there are viable business policies that can project genuine ease to doing business in Nigeria. Thus there should be mechanisms to boost our Foreign Direct Investment; and i can see all these in Atiku Abubakar’s manifesto for 2023. I have sheer hope for the future that my country will be great again." He concluded.

Politics / Obi Is Not In The Equation, Southeast Will Vote For Atiku" - Ambassador Pascal by kidap: 12:37pm On Dec 14, 2022
2023: "Peter Obi is not in the equation, Southeast will vote massively for Atiku" - Ambassador Pascal

An indigene of the Southeast region and chieftain of PDP, Ambassador Pascal has in a recent interview given an insight as to the political atmosphere in Southeast Nigeria. He adjudged that inspite of Peter Obi factor, Atiku will overwhelmingly win Southeast in February 2023 Presidential election.

"As you can see for yourself, the campaigns have shown Atiku is the only Presidential candidate that is ready to tackle the issues affecting Nigeria today.

"In all his rallies in different States, people are coming out to tell him they are going to vote for him because he is the right man for the job.

"Atiku Abubakar means unity. Atiku Abubakar means education, security, freedom to our nation.

"PDP coming back to power is an opportunity Nigerians can't afford to miss because PDP the democracy we are enjoying today was brought by PDP.

"In PDP Government, we had everything we needed as a nation. People said PDP was corrupt but now under APC no one can even talk about corruption anymore because the APC is corrupt. Under APC we have impunity.

"The whole country is crying for Atiku to come back and take this country back to where APC met it.

"APC has really taken us down below. We have never had this type of insecurity since the war.

"Under APC we have impunity, hardship. People can no longer afford three-square meal in this era of APC.

"That's why when Atiku Abubakar goes out for rally, people come out en masse to show support.

"Nigerians are voting PDP, Nigerians are voting Atiku Abubakar because he is the candidate to lead our country aright," he said.

"People of Southeast are for Atiku Abubakar. Don't let anybody deceive you about Peter Obi or whatever, Southeast will come out massively even more than North Central, to welcome Atiku Abubakar.

"In Southeast and in South-South, APC can never win any State. Our people are for PDP. Southeast States are PDP States. The only man that can restructure this country is Atiku Abubakar," he further added.

Politics / Reno Omokri Leads Nigerians In UK To Chase Tinubu Out Of Chatham House (Video) by kidap: 7:01pm On Dec 05, 2022

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p2hZLVEmLas

In the build up to Nigeria’s 2023 Presidential election, Presidential candidate of the ruling party, APC, Bola Ahmed Tinubu was today in United Kingdom (UK) to speak at the Chatham House.

The event took a rather strange turn when Nigerians in UK assembled at the front of Chatham House to send away Tinubu and his entourage back to Nigeria in a clear art of rejection of the Nigerian ruling party and its Presidential candidate.

The group of Nigerians in UK staged a protest which was led by former Nigerian Presidential media aide and author, Reno Omokri.

The group held a lot of placards which had with them various inscriptions which showed clearly that the Nigerian group in UK are not at all sold in to the candidacy of the Nigerian ruling party.

The founder of Atiku 100 percent and Nigeria Young Entrepreneur, Tanimu Kazeem has said the Presidential Candidate of the People’s Democratic Party Atiku Abubakar will support the Nollywood Industry by making it thrive and be at Par with America’s Hollywood.
According to Kazeem in Abuja, the President Buhari-led Administration hasn’t been fair to Nollywood.

He said the All Progressive Congress APC Presidential Candidate Tinubu and the Labour Party Peter Obi will do more harm to Nollywood if elected as president considering their actions towards Nollywood.

Kazeem noted that Atiku being a lover of Nollywood will build film villages across the various Film Locations in the Country like his running mare Governor Ifeanyi Okowa has done in Delta State.

“As a Consummate Businessman, Atiku understands the huge impact of Nollywood and it’s attendant benefits to the economy.
“Nollywood, Nigeria’s resilient and omnipresent film industry, has become a global powerhouse with an enormous following in Africa and among the African diaspora.

“It is the second-largest film sector globally with a projected worth of $6.4 billion in 2021, and the continent’s largest in terms of value, number of annual films, revenue, and popularity.
“Nigeria produces around 2,500 films annually and this is something a serious Government should build on.

With Atiku as President, Nollywood will be given the necessary support to make it Thrive and be at Par with America’s Hollywood, by giving the Industry the necessary Subventions and helping facilitate the Building of film villages across the various Film Locations in the Country.”
