Top Political Activist and Fmr. APC Deputy Publicity Secretary, Comrade Timi Frank has commended Tanzanian President, Dr. John Magufuli for his dogged approach towards restoring the Pride of Africa, through some of his actionable measures.

Police Summon Man Who Beat His Son Over Poor Result After Paying 21k USD As Tuition

Police in Lusaka have summoned Mr. George Bester to appear for investigations.


A video has gone viral showing a man identified as George Bester of Kitwe, disciplining his son.

A Police call-out by the Child Protection Unit dated 20th April 2020 has been issued summoning Bester to report immediately.

In the video, the father can be seen slapping and poking his son while he complains about the money he spends on school fees.

The video has sparked social media debates whether what the parent did was meting discipline or brutal assault.

Moved by their plights, Celebrated Media Personality, Otunba Femi Davies with support from associates, friends and family have donated to less privileged within different Lagos suburbs, emergency relief materials, including raw food stuffs, cooked food, cash gifts and hand sanitizers.

The charity ball initiated by Otunba Femi Davies was brokered by Rotimi Ajanaku Foundation, Fatee Mohammed Foundation and Members of Metronews, an elitist social media platform mostly comprising eminent individuals drawn from the corporate world, politicians, news and entertainment media practitioners among others.



According to FM, not less than 2,000 individuals living in different parts of Lagos have been fed within three weeks, in different phases of the charity ball.



“In the last 3 weeks, we fed over 2000 people for 10days, gave out raw food items like rice, beans, garri, noodles, packed water, and bread to 250 families. We also gave out 5k to 50 people on the Island. We distributed hand sanitizers, and cash support to forum members in need too.

“We had great support from Rotimi Ajanaku Foundation, Fatee Mohammed Foundation, members of Metronews Chat Platform, Family and friends,” the Gbobaniyi of Arigidi-Akoko in Ondo State explains.

Commenting on the span of the outreach, FM explained that they have Egbeda, Idimu, Shasha Akowonjo, Ikorodu, Ketu, Ogba and Fagba.
Other locations covered were Ojodu Abiodun, Ojuelegba, Oke Popo(Ajanaku compound)Opebi, Lagos Island and Obalolu.



Understanding that the need for food is perennial, FM has promised to sustain the feeding exercise until the lockdown relapses, life returns to normalcy and people can return to their daily businesses to fend for themselves.



He therefore calls for more donors who are compelled to support the noble cause, while apreaciating everyone that have lent in cash and kind towards the initiative so far.

As the Ramadan fast commences this week, the Nigerian Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs has urged Muslims in the country to hold lectures online due to the coronavirus outbreak.

The Council stated this on Tuesday in an advisory to Muslims in Nigeria.

President-General of the Council and Sultan of Sokoto, Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar, said all congregational worships noted with the holy month have been suspended.

The General Purpose Committee of the NSCIA under the leadership of its President-General, His Eminence, Alh. Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar, in view of the current COVID-19 pandemic considered the reports of the Fatwa Committee & the Ad-hoc Committee on COVID-19 & observed that:

“Scholars of Islam throughout the world are unanimous that the Prophet of Islam warned against the spread of contagious diseases and urged Muslims to prevent the spread.


“Jum’ah, as an obligatory religious activity, which is temporarily suspended to prevent the spread of COVID 19 outweighs the performance of any meritorious religious act such as congregational Tarawih and the conduct of Tafsir.

“Consequently, the Council directs that congregational Tarawih in the Mosque and the various Majalis Tafsir (sessions) and I’tikaf during the month of Ramadan of 1441 A.H be suspended.

“Individual Scholars and Organisations are encouraged to employ available means of disseminating information such as radio, television, other virtual facilities, print, social and traditional media for dissemination of tafsir and other da’awah activities.”

A man has been arrested by the police for trying to smuggle his girlfriend in the back of his car amidst a nationwide lockdown to curb the spread of COVID19 in South Africa.

South Africa government imposed a nationwide lockdown on March 24th for three weeks but the lockdown has been extended until the end of April.

According to an official from the province of Gauteng, said the woman was found in the car booth during a stop and search at a roadblock in the province.

The driver who did not have a permit, was headed to the Eastern Mpumalanga province.

Authorities say the woman was also arrested for consenting to be smuggled.

Bullet Constructions is reportedly own by Billionaire Business Magnate, Issa Funtua. Mr Funtua is one of the big fish with the Presidential Cabal.

"Mr. Funtua who is owner of a couple of Businesses in Nigeria. And the Cabal has used him to acquire various conglomerates, including banks such as Keystone Bank and Polaris (The defunct Skye Bank).  Him and his Son Abu Funtua controls the Forex market at the CBN. 


"So I wonder why a N30billion contract will be awarded to Bullet Construction for the expansion of Carpark. How much is the entire CBN building? and why is the original company who built CBN not handling this.", the source muse.


The source who also confirm that the contract was awarded in 2019, and there has been no carpark expansion done at the CBN since then; he urge the National Assembly to probe the CBN. Claiming that for a country that complains there's no money, and can't invest in education and health sector.

Kano State Government has begun the deportation of Almajiris in the state back to their home towns and states.

They are deporting almajiris back to their various places in other to reduce the spread of coronavirus in the state.

Currently, Kano has 37 coronavirus cases and 1 death recorded.

The governor disclosed this in a meeting held last night with the taste force.

Jigawa state Government announces lockdown in Kazaure local Council as it records a confirmed case of Covid 19 in the state.

This brings the total number of cases being managed in the state to two after Kano state Government hands over a Jigawa indigene to his home state.

This was confirmed by the Jigawa state Governor Badaru Abubakar in a press briefing in Dutse the state Capital of Jigawa.

According to him, the lockdown will be effective from Monday midnight.

A Political Activist and former Deputy National Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Comrade Timi Frank, has urged the leadership of the African Union (AU) to immediately withdraw the African Union'S Anti-corruption Champion Award it conferred on President Muhammadu Buhari in 2018.


The activist threatened to lead a protest in the next AU meeting in Addis Ababa if the said award is not withdrawn.


Frank in a statement on Monday in Abuja said the call become necessary in view of Buhari’s manifest lack of integrity, credibility and honour in administering the affairs of the country since May 2015.


He wondered why Buhari was selected for the continental award in the first place if not for high level compromise while other African leaders with solid integrity, untainted credibility and unwavering commitment to the fight against corruption like Paul Kagame of Rwanda and John Joseph Magufuli of Tanzania were not chosen instead.


He said that Kagame and Magufuli remain shining examples of integrity in the continent rather the pretentious integrity of Buhari.


The Bayelsa-born political activist insisted that Buhari is least deserving of the as all facets of the Nigerian nation has become infested with excruciating and growing corruption under the present regime.


He noted that corrupt has continued to spread through sensitive National institutions like the military, including the ongoing fight against COVID-19.


Frank said: “Recall that the African Union (AU) at its 30th Summit held in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, in 2018, presented to the President of Nigeria, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (Rtd), a continental award as the AFRICAN UNION’S ANTI-CORRUPTION CHAMPION.


“Further recall that the award among others was meant to spur leaders of the continent not just to fight corruption in their respective countries but to engage in impactful projects which were hitherto unfortunately hampered by corruption in the echelons of national governments across the continent.


“I sincerely believe that the choice of Buhari to receive the award was fueled by the regime’s propagandists and lobbyists whose only intention was to commit the AU to supporting a supposed anti-corruption crusade by Buhari in Nigeria.


“Let me inform you that the choice of Buhari for the Award was not only a misplaced venture but an unpardonable aberration as events back in Nigeria have since shown that rather than fight corruption in which basis he was elected in 2015, the regime has turned out to be an Enabler-In-Chief for wanton corruption.


“Be further informed that the propaganda anti-corruption edifice build around Buhari has since unraveled to reveal a cesspit of monumental corruption being perpetuated by officials of the regime against the people of Nigeria.


“The credentials of Buhari as a man without integrity and honour are well known both within Nigeria and the international arena. For instance, Nigeria has been on the downward slide in the Corruption Perception Index (CPI) published yearly by the Transparency International (TI) since Buhari took over the affairs of the country in May 2015 till date. The evidence for this is just a click away on any of the internet search engines.


“Besides a plethora of regime officials indicted for corruption in the country, TI’s annual reports from 2015 to 2019 and a recent letter by the Chairman, Finance Committee of the United States of America (USA) Senate, Mr. Charles Grassley, would bring to fore any evidence required by Your Excellency in this regard.


“In addition to the above, it is self evident that some top officials of the regime have since been sacked for corruption related atrocities - when the regime could no longer bear or cover up their financial improprieties - while many still exist that are sleaze personified.


“In view of the forgoing, the AU will be doing the continental organization of eminent and respected African leaders a great service by retracing your steps (which you were led into by error), redeem the global image of the
AU and strengthen its resolve to eliminate governmental corruption from the African continent, by relieving Buhari of the unmerited award.”


He called on the leadership of the AU not only to withdraw the award it wrongly bestowed on Buhari but to apologize to Africa for their poor and unwarranted action.


“However, note that if this award is not withdrawn from Buhari as soon as practicable, I will be left with no other option than to personally mobilize and lead a massive protest against the underserved award at the next summit of the AU in Addis Ababa,” Frank said.

Coronavirus Lockdown: Kwara State Set To Distribute Foods To Widows/Widowers, Physically Challenged People, The Poor And Others

Arrangements have been made to distribute palliatives to the poorest of the poor to assist them in this trying time. This will happen before the week runs out.

The categories of the people to receive the palliatives are strictly the aged, the physically challenged, widows/widowers, poor artisans, and any other needy group that the ward-based committee on palliatives deem qualified for the food stuffs.


This committees comprise traditional rulers, religious leaders and local Community Based Organisations whose duty is to monitor the exercise.

We want to clarify that this palliative cannot go round. It is targeted strictly at the poorest of the poor in the belief that they are the most affected at this time.


We pray for all of those infected to get well soon. We assure them of getting the best care possible.
