enigmatique:

Nah, not yet. I'm scheduled for tomorrow.

Hello enigmatique, I have been looking through posts but I can't find much to help me.
I have done the plum tests but I did not get a mail with scores; is that normal? what was outlined were my strengths etc.
Also I received the home study downloads, but no test link...
Please forgive my questions.
Phones / Jongla Instant Messaging App Launched In Lagos. by kobosavers(m): 7:22am On Apr 21, 2016
The Jongla instant messaging app is fast, and enables users send and receive unlimited free text messages, stickers, photos, videos and funny voice messages over the internet. This app was launched in Lagos yesterday at the Mobile West Africa conference.

It runs on low-speed Wi-Fi networks as well as 4G, 3G, EDGE and GPRS. This should be a welcome development in Africa in countries where cellular and data services are unstable or quite expensive.

See features of the Jongla App below:
JONGLA OUT: Jongla allows users to chat seamlessly with all their phone book contacts.

VOICE MESSAGING: Users can record up to one minute long push-to-talk voice messages.

RELIABLE AND SECURE: Jongla uses full TLS encryption to keep chats safe and protects privacy.

EASY SHARING: text messages, voice messages, photos, videos and interactive stickers.

GROUP CHAT: Jongla users can enjoy group chats with up to 100 friends.

The app is available on the App Store, Google Play, Windows Phone Store, and the Firefox Marketplace in 20 languages.

Plus with its launch in Nigeria they might be looking to hire local Android developers in the country wink

Phones / Samsung Set To Release The Samsung Galaxy C Series. by kobosavers(m): 4:08am On Apr 19, 2016
This latest addition is set to be released in May in China but could possibly be available in other regions including Nigeria. The first one to be released is the SM C5000 with specs below:

Display: 5.2 inches
Design: Thin metal body
RAM size: 4GB
Operating System: Android 6.0.1

Also there is rumored release of the C7000 although specs are not available for that yet.

This new addition should fall in the budget range putting it somewhere between the S and J series.

Post will be updated from time to time as available information is limited for now.

Technology Market / Re: Nigeria’s Ecommerce At Crossroads As Jumia Sacks 50% Of Workers by kobosavers(m): 8:36pm On Apr 18, 2016
The sustainability of the eCommerce model is achievable in the long run but if the new start-up models keeping emulating the older ones we will keep witnessing downsizing, salary slashes and acquisitions like in the case of Dealdey.
People have to think hard before they buy internet subscription, a website domain name and hosting plan; there's a lot more to maintaining online businesses.

Phones / Re: Between Tecno Boom J8 And Infinix Note 2 by kobosavers(m): 5:31pm On Apr 06, 2016
xtreme007:
I intend getting either of this phone today and am confused between which is best. I'll like current user of this phone to share there experience.

NB: Both are 2gb ram

Hi OP, both smartphones are awesome and have almost the same specs.
But the Boom J8 has a 5MP front camera if you're into that kinda thing and also you get Max audio + headphones too.
Plus its way lighter than the Infinix Note 2 which weighs 194g against Boom's 153g plus its super slim.
So i'd say go for the Boom J8 that's if you haven't made up your mind already.
