Oh thanks. YOu go make my head inside sweet me for the whole day. Could you please point out those spelling errors for me to rectify them?
jnyuwa02:

Your SOP is very strong, just two spelling errors, but nonetheless one of the best SOPs I have ever read!

Thanks but my work experience is related to my undergraduate and intended course. As for my SOP being strong or not I will let @jnyuwa02 be the judge on that.
bbclue:

See the reason for ordering your gcms note is to know the main reason for refusal..... you need to work with the gcms note because there u no d truth about your refusal....because note 1 says insufficient funds....note 2...purpose of visit.....and travel history....your work experience is not related dat is if am right......all you need now is a strong SOP......and did u pay first year tuition fees

For the low balance i can testify that truly my sponsor had a low balance so i wasnt much surprised when i was delayed based on finances. Also we didnt pay the first year tuition. Yeah that was something i wanted clarification on cause i knew i had tackle all of these so i was perplexed to see it in my notes thats why i wanted your insights. Thanks and all the best in our applications
jnyuwa02:

Dude chill, don't buy into the notion that they don't approve visas for educational related courses. I read the SOP, the GCMS notes and CIC letter you sent to me. They are only holding you ransome on financial reasons. The sponsor's bank statement you submitted had low balance, even though you paid first year tuition? Every other thing like purpose of visit and returning back to your country finding against you, was "entered in error." That is what it meant by that word appearing on your GCMS. I can assure you if you submit a new bank statement with good balance to cover for your subsequent year(s) after your first year, that chances are you will more likely than not be approved for the education related courses someone is trying to bamboozle you into believing CIC does not approve. What greater asset a country has than teachers? You ably pointed that out in your SOP and that is how you overcame purpose of visit and returning to your country. Good job! Now do the remaining needful. Package and refire!

Travel / Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 13 by Kwamentim3: 10:36pm On Oct 29, 2017
If they dont want people to study education related courses why dont they just make it clear in their policies for us to know
ohizzyy7:

I still don't know why it's difficult for Canada embassy to grant students visa for education related courses.

Let me pm you my SOP,refusal letter and gcms notes for you to understand my case
jnyuwa02:

You have a point. You might want to explain to the VO better next time the correlation in your areas of interest. VOs are not Gods telepathically able to decipher everything. They are flesh and blood humans who make mistakes and sometimes don't know relations in courses of study. That said, purpose of visit I should mention is not always about correlation between your past area of studies or work and intended area of studies. It can also mean there is something in your background that the VO suspects you are using your studies as a way of effecting entry in Canada to be an immigrant and not solely for the purposes of studying. That is why it is important to dot your i's and cross all your t's to assemble a winning TRV portfolio. Best!

Ps: get your GCMS notes to know for sure if what they are using against you is strictly financial or it combines with purpose of visit. I don't see the error annotation you talk about. If true there is an " entered in error" that was indicated, I tend to believe that VO may have ticked something wrong in your case and decided to enter that. You know a lot of these reasons of refusals are generic and when the VO denies an application, they just copy and paste which one relates to you. A better way of knowing what was in the offings, is to order GCMS.

The reason why i am jabbing about this error is that, my intended course is related to my job and previous undergraduate program. I did B.Ed(management) and i am going for educational administration and leadership. Also i am a teacher so i cant just understand how purpose of visit will appear in my gcms notes.
mcobex:
Bro you requested for your gcsm note cos you wanted the REAL reasons behind the delay, fund is the main reason as your sponsor's balance was low when you applied for trv, also purpose of visit (it means your intended program isn't in line with your previous course or your present job), travel history to me is just be the way. Concerning the "error" you have been talking about since, you should only take it up if the other reasons stated by the VO was WRONG.

They tick 4 points for u....1... insufficient funds..
Purpose of visit.....travel history....etc

But on my refusal letter they only ticked insufficient funds and about the third point under its label it says "entered in error". Thats my confusion

Good evening my fellow comrades
Please i have an issue and i need your insight
The application was delayed earlier based on finances alone and then the gcms notes arrived not long ago. Now the first and fourth notes in the gcms notes talks about why the application was refused based on the finances. Now the source of confusion is the third comments made in the notes which talks about purpose of visit and travel history which was not ticked when the application was refused. Again under the label of that third note it reads "Entered in Error". We really cant fathom the notes thats why i seek your earnest insight. Thanks for your time

But my CGPA is well above 3.0
My last 2 years of study is actually a first class, but the cumulative is not up to a first class

So sad to hear about this. I was really rooting for you because of the faith you showed about your application but don't worry too much cos you can overcome this. As usual order your gcms notes and lets dissect this. Stay bless

Not likely. Most important thing is that you checked the box and atleast gave a detail of the refusal not necessarily the number of times refused. They will still find out. Actually, that question of being refused a visa is a 'credibility test'..it also forms part of an overall assessment of an application.

Thanks for this clarification. My friend got scared cause he thought it would amount to misrepresentation.
Travel / Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 13 by Kwamentim3: 9:38pm On Jul 28, 2017
Please on the issue of misrepresentation, what if the applicant indicated on CIC form that he/she has been refused a visa before but do not mention the number of times of refusal(eg.4 times) can that amount to misrepresentation?

Thanks guys.

See the SOP
I am not a guru but I think you SOP lack some key points and that could be why the VO was not convinced that you will return apart from insufficient funds issues. First of all you didn't tell the VO why you choose the program. Yes you might have gained a first class in mathematics but you should let the VO know why you are in the mathematics field and why you chose Canada-at this point you mention your funding offer as one of the factors. Again you didn't tell what you will gain from the Msc program which will boost your career opportunities back in Nigeria-you must know that you should convince the VO that you are just a student who will return home after your studies and not a potential immigrant. Also, you should address what you expect from the Msc program itself. Lastly no need to bring up the benefits of NYSC cause I think the VOs already know.

My 2 cents tho. Best of luck in your reapplication.
