FESTAC101: @FESTAC101, you are not working on Linkedin, you are only sourcing for clients there. To receive your earnings from your client, you will send an invoice from Payoneer to their email address. There is a payment link in the invoice that they can use to deposit the fund directly into your Payoneer account. |

Nteogwuija: Email marketing is a very lucrative industry. You can get a lot of clients on LinkedIn if you are good. Launch a profile on Linkedin and reach out to email marketing companies, autoresponder companies, etc. The truth is, almost all companies use email marketing. But one thing you need to be sure of is the quality of your work. Make sure it is the best. You can send samples to my email address - virtualassitprof@gmail.com. 2 Likes |

tboibamz: It depends on your agreement with clients. What I do is to issue an invoice on Payoneer at the end of the month. I work for my clients on monthly basis. That is one thing with LinkedIn. Most clients will want to work with you on regular basis. It is not a one-off project. I calculate the number of posts x the price and I raise an invoice for it the end of the month. You can also create an invoice on Freelancer and send to your client. Most clients on LinkedIn are trustworthy. But If you know you cannot wait until the end of the month, you can charge per article. 4 Likes 1 Share |

EagleScribes: Thanks @EagleScribes. Yes, you can. Start by modifying your job description. You can use "Content editor" instead of a proofreader. Businesses that hire content writers will also need an editor. You can also search for transcribing jobs by searching for companies that help businesses to transcribe documents. Connect with them and let them know you are available for transcribing jobs. 3 Likes 2 Shares |

Nigeria is in good shape (you know what I mean). People are finding it difficult to eat, pay house rent, send children to school, etc. Graduates are searching for jobs endlessly. Those who have jobs are not making enough money to cater for their needs. This is why I am writing this post. It may be an answer to your prayers. In this post, I want to teach you how to write for clients on LinkedIn and make a decent income to cater to your needs. Introduction Most of you know me as Ladywriter. I have trained hundreds of people on this forum on how to make money as a Freelance writer and researcher on Freelancer.com and Fiverr. For example, check out my main thread here - https://www.nairaland.com/1833989/how-make-1000-month-writing. I created the thread in 2014. Currently, It has 344,197 views and 6,809 comments. I bet it is one of the most popular threads on Nairaland. I started writing as a Freelance writer on Freelancer.com in 2011. I worked on the platform until I stopped in 2015. I wanted to find ways of getting writing jobs without necessarily bidding for jobs or working for agencies. It took me a while to figure it out, but I eventually did. In 2017, I read a post on how to get clients on LinkedIn. I connected with the guy that wrote the post and I started digging out ways I could get clients as well. I got four clients after one month and I am still working with some of them today. Since, then, I have a handful of clients I work with on regular basis. This is not the usual $5 per article stuff. You can charge as high as $20 per article (I charge more than that because of my experience in the field). It will get to a point where clients will start looking for you and start offering you jobs. God has elevated me to that realm now and you can also get there. Warning: This is not a get rich quick scheme. It takes time and HARD WORK to be established. But once you are, getting clients continually will not be a problem. Let's get started. What do you need to start freelance writing online? 1. A computer connected to the internet 2. A solid understanding of how to write for businesses online. You need to be trained on how to write content that will help businesses drive traffic and sales. That is the only way you can earn more money in this business. 3. An enduring spirit. You may not get much at the beginning but as you do it on regular basis, you will start seeing improvements. 4. A Payoneer card to withdraw your earnings 5. A freelancer.com account to collect money from clients who are not able to use Payoneer to pay you. 6. Time to write. You can write at any time of the day. But if you are working you can write in the early hours of the morning or late at night. Note: If you jump any of the steps above, you will struggle until you give up. Alert!: This a very long post, so take your time to read it. Let’s get started. What is LinkedIn? A lot of people are not familiar with LinkedIn. They know how to use Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Snapchat, but when it comes to using LinkedIn, it is a no-go area for them. The truth is, it is not as difficult as you think. LinkedIn is a social media platform designed specifically for business owners and employees. As at January 2018, it has a total number of 500 million users and 250 million active LinkedIn users. LinkedIn is not your usual Facebook or Twitter platform where you post family pics and all manner of things. It is strictly business. A lot of companies use LinkedIn to search for employees and prospective clients. Graduates use it to search for jobs. Why is it easy to get jobs on LinkedIn? LinkedIn is a platform where you can find business owners. The thing is, 61 million LinkedIn users are senior level influencers and 40 million are in decision-making positions. Also, LinkedIn is the most used social media platform amongst Fortune 500 companies. This makes it a good place to find your ideal client. Not ordinary clients, but clients with big budgets for content writing. How do you get writing jobs on LinkedIn? There are three ways you can explore to get writing clients on LinkedIn. I have tried all of them and 2 of them proved to be very successful. But I am not going to discuss all of them here, I will only teach you how to use one of them. The three strategies are: • LinkedIn search function • Connection strategy • Publishing strategy I will teach you how to use the second strategy - the LinkedIn connection strategy. I have used it and it works like magic. But, I must warn you - it is not an easy strategy. To get clients through the connection strategy, follow the steps below 1. Create an attractive LinkedIn profile. Creating an attractive and detail profile on LinkedIn is one of the secrets to getting clients for your writing business. You can check out My profile on LinkedIn for inspiration. Below are the tips you will want to use to create a good LinkedIn profile. Tips for creating an attractive LinkedIn profile: • Use a standard profile picture. LinkedIn is not Facebook, neither is it Twitter where you can use any kind of picture. It is a business-oriented platform. That doesn’t mean you must look too serious. Dress properly and smile. Smiling makes people look beautiful in pictures. • Write a good profile description. Let your prospective client know what you do. • Describe how your services will help prospective clients • Fill in other details on the profile. Make sure you did not leave anything out 2. Choose a writing niche There are different niches online. A niche is an industry such as the digital marketing niche, Saas, Tech, Business, Fashion, etc. Choose anyone you are proficient in. If you an accountant – write for financial websites online. If you like food or fashion, write for the niche. It is a good thing to choose a niche you are passionate about. I love digital marketing and the business (b2b) niches. So, I write for companies in that niche. Choose carefully and add it to your profile. If you are not yet sure, just leave it for the time being and concentrate on being a writer. 3. Create a writing portfolio to show samples of your work Most often than not, prospective clients will want to see your writing samples. Write sample articles in your niche and post them on your blog or portfolio websites online. There are many of them and you can use them for free. Just do a Google search for “free portfolio websites for writers” and you will see them. Post your sample articles on a portfolio site and give the link to prospective clients. 4. Search for potential clients and connect with them There is a search bar at the top on LinkedIn that allows you to search for potential clients. You can type the niche you want to write for or the job description of people you want to connect with. For instance, I write for the digital marketing niche, so I will type “digital marketers” or “digital marketing companies” in the search bar and press enter. You can search according to location, industry, etc. But first, you will want to connect with people in the industry. Then, search for CEOs and founders of companies you will like to work with and connect with them. Make sure, you send a message with your connection request to get a suitable response. Once, they connect with you, you can ask if they need a writer for their business. I have gotten solid clients doing this. So, it works. You can use this method to get any job you want. That is it. The more people you add to your connection, the better your chance of getting clients. You see, it is not as difficult as you think. You can get enormous opportunities here. I have been offered writing jobs outside the country before – in the US specifically. So, you cannot tell where this will lead you. Get up and start making money writing today! Don’t be a #lazyyouth. Don't forget to connect with me on LinkedIn. You can ask me questions, I am available today. N.B: I just compiled a detailed e-book that enumerates the step by step process of how to search for clients on LinkedIn with screenshots- please check it out on my website. 22 Likes 8 Shares |

Hi guys, I am ladywriter. I know some of you know me already and if you don't please check my threads on nairaland. https://www.nairaland.com/1833989/how-make-1000-month-writing. I don't like commenting on threads, but I just can't hold back my anger when I saw this thread. It is annoying! This is pure slavery! How can you write 3,500 words per day and earn N100,000 per month? Do you know how many hours it will take to crank out 3,500 words daily? You will not have time for anything else in life. That is slavery, people. Writing is not an easy job. You can easily earn that amount in a week or even less if you are good at writing and you know where to get top companies to work with. I used to slave away like that some years back until I discovered that life can be better and easier. I stopped working on content mills (freelancer.com, fiverr.com etc). I started searching for work on my own. It was tough, but God made a way out for me. Now, I write less and make more. Seek for knowledge guys, learn content marketing, SEO, Link building, etc. These are skills that will enhance your worth in the market. Use the social media to build relationships and network with companies abroad. There are lucrative jobs out there, but you've got to dig deeper to get them. I wish you all the best, guys! Hi Everyone, This is ladywriterr. How are you guys doing? How is Freelancer.com? I stopped active bidding two years ago. It is a great platform for beginners and I really enjoyed working there. But, I discovered that I need to move on to better things. It was a tough decision and it took me two years to find a way out. I honed my skills and learned content marketing, SEO and Link building. I want to encourage you all to seek for more knowledge. The grass on the other side is GREENER! There are lucrative jobs out there for those that can dig deeper. Annoucement: All my past students who enrolled and completed my paid article writing course should contact me (I have the list). We need to go back to the classroom. I want to upgrade your knowledge and duplicate what I have. If God permits and I have the time, I will also teach everyone how to write better articles and earn more money in the near future. Keep working, keep making money! Blessings! 15 Likes 2 Shares |

stephen2016: Hmmm! It's not easy o. My writing style has changed tremendously. I learned content marketing for about six months from different marketers online. Now, I know the difference between article writing and content marketing. You earn more with content marketing writing than article writing. Many companies are using content marketing now because it works for them. They are ready to pay for high-quality content that will help them to generate traffic, customers, and sales. A 500-word article goes for $2-$5 on Freelancer.com, while it is around $50 - $100 and even more in the corporate world. You can't write fluffs and your content must generate Return on Investment. That is why I have been scarce here and on Freelancer.com. If you want to change levels, you must learn new things. One man that taught me how to write is Neil Patel. He is one of my mentors. Check out his posts on http://neilpatel.com/. That is the kind of content any business will pay to have at all cost. It will generate leads and customers for years to come. It was difficult learning how to write like him, but I had to and that is what has helped me greatly this year. I plan to start a series teaching on how to write content for businesses that are ready to pay you if the Lord permits. 7 Likes 1 Share |

The recession is biting hard! The dollar rate is soaring high. If there is a time to make more money online as a writer, it is now! All you need is extra effort on your part to maximize the situation. This is the reason why I want to teach you how to get lucrative writing jobs on Twitter. Twitter is one of the most popular social media networks out there. As at July 7th, 2016, Twitter has 313 million users, 120 million unique monthly visitors and 100 million daily active twitter users. It will interest you to know that most of your prospective clients are on Twitter. According to emarketer, 65.8% of US companies with 100+ employees use Twitter for marketing. In this article, I will be showing you how to land lucrative writing jobs on Twitter. But, first, I will like to show you how to set up your twitter profile in order so that you can attract potential clients. Twitter profile design The first thing you need is a twitter profile for your writing business. So, go ahead and register a twitter account for your business. Below are what you will need to consider while designing your profile: 1. A useful Twitter handle Your twitter handle is very important. It needs to be short, relevant and unique. This will make it easy for people to add it to their tweets. It will also make it easy for potential clients to find your profile when they are looking for who to hire. A good example of a name combination is something like @ticewrites. It belongs to one of the top writers in the US — Carol Tice. It shows her name and what she does for a living. 2. Profile photo A lot of people don’t use pictures on Twitter. You will find twitter accounts with the characteristic egg graphic default. You cannot afford to do this if you really want to get writing jobs on twitter. You need to upload a photo of yourself that people can relate with. Use a clear photo of you smiling. 3. Background design You need a background/header for your twitter profile. The dimension is 125 x 625. This is a place where you showcase your writing business. You can include your photo, business logo, web address, services , where you have been featured as a writer, etc. The aim of the background is to help you create a branding for your business. You can use a mixture of images and text to produce an attractive header. You can use Canva to design it for free. 4. Twitter Bio This is a very important part of your twitter profile. Twitter gives you 160 characters to explain what you or your business does. As you write your Twitter bio, make sure you add keywords with hashtags in it. It will help your profile to be easily found in twitter search or other search engines. You can also add your services, qualifications, where you have been featured as a writer etc. Don’t forget to add a link to your website if you have one. If you cannot afford one, for now, you can simply create a free or account to use for now. Now that you know the basics, it is time to look for prospective clients to follow: Following prospective clients on Twitter: Now that your profile is set up, you need to start adding prospective clients to your list. The first thing you can do is to start with digital marketing companies or SEO agencies. These are broad niche agencies that hire writers regularly. So we will start by searching for them on Managefliter.com. Managefliter is an app you can use to sift through 330 million users on Twitter to locate your prospective client. It is an app that will help you to identify users / clients you can start following. You can follow 50 people per day with the free account. So, get a free account and sign up on Managefliter.com. When you log in, click on “search”. Then type in either SEO agency, SEO company, digital marketing agency, etc. I typed in SEO agency and 4,989 people/companies came up. Scroll to check for authentic companies, then follow them. The rule here is to follow companies who are active on twitter. The first thing you need to do is to check the last tweet’s date. If its been long the company posted their last tweet, say, 303 days ago or more, they may not be the right fit for this assignment because it shows the company is not active. The next thing you need to do is to start writing on your blog and tweeting your posts. Most importantly, retweet important posts from the company’s twitter page to get familiar with their write-ups. It is also a good way to position yourself in front of the company. Now, that your account is getting populated, it is time to start the actual marketing. 5 Ways to get prospective clients on Twitter 1. Build a relationship with prospective clients The list of prospective clients you acquired from Managefliters will be useful here. You will build relationships with your prospective clients. You can start by sharing their articles on your twitter page. This will show that you are a genuine reader and that you are familiar with their blog/publication. Do this for a couple of time, then you can pitch to them. You can send a message like “I love what your company does. Do you work with freelance writers“? Some prospects will respond to your tweets, while some will not. For the ones that respond, tell them what you do and how you can help them to attract visitors, convert them to customers and engage them. As you keep doing it, you will start getting clients. 2. Use Twitter search feature The twitter search feature is located at the top right corner of your twitter page as shown below. Now, you need to type keywords that clients will likely use in searching for writers to hire, such as: #freelancewriter #freelancewriting #writing #writer #copywriter #copywriting #travelwriter #travelwriting #webwriter #contentwriting #contentwriter #blogger #freelanceblogger #featurewriting #ghostwriter #ghostwriting #grantwriting #businesswriting #technicalwriting #technicalwriter #resumewriting #speechwriting #speechwriter So, pick each keyword and search for them daily, you will surely get writing jobs on twitter. 3. Search for companies and people who collect and tweets freelance writer job opportunities There are people who share freelance writing jobs on twitter. Below are some of them: @mediabistro @freelancewj @tweelancewriter @writing_jobs @jjobs_tweets @writing_gigs @WajJobAgency @whopayswriters @write_jobs You can create a list on twitter for the handles so you can always have a place to scan for writing jobs on twitter. 4. Share useful content Here, you have to determine who you want to reach out to and attract. You need to share content that your followers would find useful and like to read. They may not like all you write, just make sure you are sharing valuable information. Then, your prospective clients might start following you. I have many people following me that way. As they follow you, they might offer you writing gigs. 5. Search for requests for help Most often than not, Twitter users post request for help. Here, you need to think about the challenges your target market is facing. For a prospective client , it can be ‘having trouble writing my website content’, ‘finding it difficult to complete my e-book’, ‘updating my website’, ‘creating a new brochure’. You can type all these search queries in the search bar to uncover opportunities. When you do, keep your approach simple. Send a short tweet explaining what you do and how you can be of help. You can include a link to your portfolio or website. You can also search for the prospect's contact details on their website and send them emails to establish formal contact. There you have it, a step by step action plan for you to get lucrative writing jobs on Twitter. What are you waiting for? Start it now!
