Hello everyone, please I need help. We applied for transit visa for Netherlands and for now, only my husband passport is back but there is a mistake. His transit visa on his passport is valid from 1st sept to 8th sept, but we transit on the 10th September. I have checked my application form and 10th September was what I indicated as date of transit and we submitted our flight tickets too. I have sent a mail to VFS, they replied that they are not in charge and gave me a mail to send my request to which I have done. However, I have previously sent a mail to this particular email they sent to me and they never responded, so I am afraid they may not respond to this also. It's been over 24hrs I have sent the email. Please who has any idea what I can do next. |

josephb: Thank you very much. I will apply for each of us separately as you suggested. I have a baby and I know transit visa is free for her but do I still register for her on bfs and submit her passport? |

Please I need some clarifications here. While writing consent letter for my kids, must I state the accommodation or address of where we will be staying. Or is it okay to just mention that we will be responsible for all living expenses and accommodation for the kids. |

aabiemi: On your wife's welcome portal, under letters (I think there should be a letter with bank details). If not, then click on pay school fees or search for how to pay school fees on the school's website or this link https://payment.flywire.com/pay/payment, put the amount you want to pay and then choose the option of International bank transfer, they should give you a form and a code that you will print for your FORM A. You will be told that the code will expire in 3 days but if you send a mail to flawier that you are paying from Nigeria, it will be extended to a month. 1 Like |

Etinosajay:Since you have no respect for other people's culture and you want to be right at all cost I will leave you to it. In yoruba language, we merge a lot of our words even the popular ones... E kaaro is actualy E ku aro Bolanle is actually Bolanile Yinka is actually Yimika Taiwo is actually Tun ile aye wo Adeleke is Ade o leke I can go on and on, that is how we merge our names and that is how derive our language, if you can not accept that, then please continue to wallow in your ignorance. Edo people who get into this kind of argument never want to accept that the yorubas are right and funny in this case the name means the same thing both on yoruba and Edo. 1 Like |

Etinosajay: I did not claim ogunsuyi is an Ijebu name, anybody from yoruba can be named ogunsuyi because it is a yoruba name. Ogun is a god.....'Iyi' is honour, Ogun-se-iyi, merged together to form Ogunsuyi...what we call 'iparoje' in Yoruba, means Ogun has brought honour. Secondly, Edo is not yoruba land but we have more similarities than any other two tribes in Nigeria...probably in the world. We share names, we share history, we even share gods. I have not heard osasuyi in yoruba but I have heard osasona, but I can guess osasuyi means the god 'osa' brings honour....'oosa' in yorubaland means oracle or a god, as usual in yoruba language, the firat 'o' is merged so 'osasona' means 'the oracle has made a way'. My problem with Edo people is why you are finding it difficult to believe that yorubas bear Ogunsuyi as if it is not possible. You want your claims to be right at all cost and ours to be wrong no matter the proof we bring. We grew up in yorubaland, we are yorubas so we should know if a name is yoruba or not. Yours is to let us know that Edos also bear that name and not abuse or call us names for stating a fact 1 Like |

Etinosajay: First, Ogunsuyi is a Yoruba name....but that doesn'tmean it is not an Edo name also. But as a fact, It is a Yoruba name. Ekiti and Ijebu people always turn their 'I' to 'U' for example Isu in normal yoruba is 'Usu' in Ekiti dialet or Ijebu dialet, My name starts with 'Iyi' which means honour but I had my secondary school in Ekiti and I was called 'Uyi' throughout my secondary school. So please get your facts right Edo people before you start bashing the whole of Yoruba race. 2 Likes 1 Share |

BritneyStacy: I got one blanket, one shawl..I can count the number of times I used it for my baby because he sweats a lot from day one. I use Sunlight detergent, never had any issues. I have always used a different wipe from the brand of the diaper, I think it depends on the skin sensitivity of your baby. I started with huggies, switched to one Aloe something something, now I use Dr browns and my baby's diaper is Molfix. 3 Likes 1 Share |

Joyfullmama: Very dicey, firstly if I should put myself in this situation , I will have asked since his birthday....to us its no biggie as in just like any other conversation, 'babe, who is this person? Her face is not familiar and he goes'oh, its so so so and so', and I can reply something like 'nawa o, she is still using your picture as dp ni?' and then from there we figure it out. Secondly, some people have a very bad habit of not changing dps, I am their chairman, sometimes my husband too, so recently, a friend's baby turned one year in february, my husband is still using the baby's picture and dp message on his BBM till today, I was even the one asking him to change it that even the parents have moved on and he still hasn't changed it, so the lady in question can also be like that. I don't bother using other people's picture as dp cos I won't change it for a long while, it's just too much work for me. Thirdly, the lady in question can be one of those crushing on your husband, my husband has a number but I know them too. The truth is your husband might not know she is crushing on him, I was the one that made my husband realize a particular lady was crushing on him some few years back, abegi men can be blind to those things that are obvious. I am assuming their chats is not discriminatory as you didn't state anything of such After stating this scenarios, my advise will be that you talk to him about it, not with the mindset of 'I have caught you, you cheating bastard' cos it will be obvious in your tone, just chip it in casually and then don't dwell on it. Read his expression, read how he replies you, did he stutter, was he hesitant... etc. then you can get your facts, if you don't ask, your mind will always be their and your imaginations will run wild and then you may be worrying unnecessarily. Good luck. 7 Likes |

sayoberry: My baby can not tolerate milk also, he can't tolerate lactose free milk too as in no matter what we try, yougurt o, anything dairy. He is 9 months and I am still breastfeeding him, I am thinking of what to do already when he turn 1, cos Milo, Bournvita and horlicks all contain milk as a major ingredient. |

mitchyy:Generally, prices at Blenco are fair, I got the first set of my baby things at Dosumu, but for the second set I realized that they were more or the same prices with Blenco, so I was restocking from Blenco. Some of the things you listed are more pricey than when I got them from the same Blenco but it could be due to the Dollar rise and also its almost a year ago. 2 Likes |

Marxxx: This topic is not about which school is best...montessori or not, I only advised the Op about his child having learning difficulty and from experience montessori schools help children with learning difficulty because of how education is structured. Like I said in the first post, this present school may be the best for his daughter but maybe not for his and he should get the son evaluated. Now to your question, pls show me a genius who thrived under a 'traditional' school facing the blackboard all day and doing assignments without bearing or by passing WASSCE etc., most genius of our time either drop out of college or something, our schools don't teach us to be innovative else we won't be in this state of importing toothpick in Nigeria. I will give you a list of he few geniuses I know that went to a montessori school, Google brothers Larry Page and Sergey Brin, William Bright, Amazon creator Jeffrey Bezos, Wikipedia creator Jimmy Wales, Gabriel Gracia Marquez, Owner of Washington Post Katherine Graham, Anne Frank, Beyonce, P.Diddy, Joshua Bell, Peter Ducker, Anne Hathaway, George Clooney, Julia Child.....these a few. 1 Like |

Marxxx:Firstly, Grange is not a montessori school like I said, so many people in Nigeria use the montessori name and its just marketing purposes. Secondly, there is No montessori secondary school in nigeria, I think there is one in South Africa not sure though and there are very few montessori secondary schools in the world as a matter of fact, the school where I work is the first to have full montessori for children between the ages of 6-12. The mosy common one is for ages 3-6 years. And the Op is talking about a younger child. And lastly, you have absolutely NO idea what montessori education is. Have a nice day 2 Likes |

kilonso001:My baby will be 8 months next week, for a week now we have been battling with high temp, 38 degrees too, his blood count was done and his White blood count skyrocketed which indicates that he is battling with an infection, what we don't know is if the infection is viral or bacterial. Your baby will be fine, use the drugs that was prescribed and tepid sponge and also bath with warm water. |
