Seyi Makinde did not do much for PDP in that state!

I don't even think he campaigned for his party undecided

Seyi Makinde governs very well so far, but I am disappointed in his choice of Tinubu

Seyi is Omoluwabi same as Tinubu.

So what do you expect of him?

It's about time The East takes a strong stand on this issue of voters being attacked for voting for candidates from the East.
This thing started in Lagos during buharis first terms when both the Oba of Lagos and MC Oluomo them were making all sorts of volatile statements. It continued during his second term in Lagos too without anyone being questioned.

Now it is not just happening again in Lagos, we are starting to see other states copying the same thing, eg Rivers State.
If Eastern political elites don't step up and take a firm stand on this, it will never end and the intimidation of Igbo voters and voters willing towilltoote for Igbo candidates in general elections in different parts of the country, will become the new normal.
Timemto act is now!

Seun:
Fellow Nairalanders,

Today's presidential election is very important. We've experienced economic stagnation & contraction due to both external and self-inflicted factors. We've experienced an epidemic of kidnappings and violent deaths due to banditry, terrorism, ethnic clashes, and separatism.

According to various presidential polls, We are faced with a historic three way race. Any one of them could win today, which means that you don't have to worry about the spoiler effect. Instead of voting for the lesser evil, you can vote for the best candidate of the 3.

I therefore urge you to consider the responsibilities of the presidency - improving the economy, securing the nation, strengthening our democratic institutions, reforming the legal system - and pick the candidate who is most likely to perform excellently if he wins the election.

Vote for someone who will appoint the best Nigerians at home or abroad to their administration. Vote for someone who will unite the country and strengthen our democracy. Vote for someone who has the physical & mental vigour required to handle the toughest job in the country.

Don't vote for a mediocre candidate just because you think the best cannot win. Vote for your best. This time, your vote won't be wasted.

Thank you, and good luck to Nigeria!

We decode

We understand

We shall do as suggested

Thanks Omoluwabi

The APC presidential candidate also made reference to the logo of the PDP on Atiku’s outfit while someone on Atiku’s entourage asked why Tinubu does not have APC’s logo on his outfit.

This goes to show these guys are friends and will remain friends after this elections including Peter Obi. The electorates should remember this fact, and sheath the swords as we vote today.

Only one winner will emerge. There is no point making enemies with someone over people who bond like these whenever they meet.

engineerboat:
APC Candidate Alhaji Bola Ahmed Tinubu (THE ÈMI LÓKÀN) - "IT IS MY TURN"

Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the former governor of Lagos from 1999 to 2007 and a multimillionaire, is an ethnic Yoruba Muslim from the country's southwest. A co-founder of the All Progressives Congress in 2013 alongside outgoing President Muhammadu Buhari, the 70-year-old likes to expound on his role as kingmaker.

But now, he said, "it's my turn." While he faces some stiff competition, he has the major advantage of being able to use the state apparatus to mobilize support for the incumbent party in power.

Tinubu's political career started in the 1990s, when he voiced his opposition to military rule in Nigeria. He has spent many years building political, ethnic and religious alliances throughout the country, before taking his stab at the presidency.

Despite his erstwhile opposition to military, he has promised to expand the military to end the Islamist insurgency that has been raging in the north of the country for 13 years. But voters have heard that promise before from Buhari, who has failed to deliver on it.

What do Nigerians want from the presidential election?
01:29
Tinubu must also contend with accusations of corruption and misappropriation of funds, allegations which he has denied. So far, nothing has stuck despite documents being shared by the US Justice Department dating back to 1988, which show that accounts in his name held proceeds from sales of heroin.

One charge against him brought by a firm two years ago was settled out of court. He was also cleared twice by Nigeria's Code of Conduct Tribunal of allegations of breaching the code of public officers.

That hasn't stopped Tinubu's opponents from using the allegations as ammunition in the battle for the presidency, including charges saying he was involved in vote buying in 2019.

Tinubu has also been fighting off suspicions that his health is failing by posting videos of himself exercising on a bike. Since President Buhari had to undergo repeated medical treatments abroad, Nigerians have become wary of having a head of state with health problems.

Tinubu's running mate is Kashim Shettima, a Muslim and former governor from northeastern Borno state. The choice was aimed at atracting voters in the predominantly Muslim North. However, the decision has upset many Christians, who regard it as a break with the tradition of having a mixed-faith ticket.
