Dear NLdrs, hope you guys are doing great and you all survived this no electricity, no fuel, no bank, no telecommunication and all? This past days has been hell for all and sundry.


My dear ooo, finally, the EEDC decided to have some pity on us and restored electricity power supply around 3:00am this morning....I am super excited.


This little experience has thought me a lot of lessons. Imagine a Nigeria without petrol, without electricity...we are all doomed, hehehehe.



The most confusing part is that our president kept mute while this saga lasted, who knows what he will be thinking.


I hope you are already enjoying the electricity around your area why we wait for the availability of fuel.

An actress who weighs nothing more than '40 pounds and is close to death has released a video on YouTube describing her fight against the life-threatening eating disorder and soliciting for help from the masses to enable her get treatment.

The 37-year old Rachael Farrokh, from Southern California has been battling anorexia nervosa for more than 10 years.

In the video released by Mail online, she explains how her condition has severely declined in recent months, leaving her emaciated, breathless and too weak to move around on her own at her San Clemente home.

She also reveals how her husband, Ron Edmondson, has had to quit his job to become her 24-hour caregiver, while area hospitals won't treat her because her 'dangerous' weight makes her a 'liability'

It has been reported that food inspectors have passed an order asking Nestle for recalling Maggi noodles batch from shops all over India in view of the fact that it consists harmful lead level.

FDA (Food Safety and Drug Administration) in UP maintained that in the random sample test performed on 24 packs of Maggi, the product is revealed to have high level of lead which is more than the permissible limit.


According to two FDA officers, each and every pack of Maggi on which tests were performed in state-run lab had been found to be dangerous for health. In the test, noodles are discovered to have 17.2 ppm (parts per million) of lead concentration, which is about 7 times more than the allowed limit. As per officers, lead’s permissible limit must be 0.01 ppm to 2.5 ppm.

Not only this, researchers discovered that Maggi contains added MSG’s high level. MSG (monosodium glutamate) is used to boost the taste of something.

In the words of deputy inspector general of Food Safety and Drug Administration in Lucknow, D.G. Srivastava, “Maggi instant noodles contained dangerous amount of lead and MSG. We had to immediately issue orders against the company.”

However, Nestle India claims that they keep a check on quality controls, paying special attention on strict safety measures for each of its raw ingredients that are utilized in the production of the instant food.

To quote what they have to say in connection with the matter,

“We do not add MSG to Maggi Noodles, and glutamate, if present, may come from naturally occurring sources. We are surprised with the content supposedly found in the sample as we monitor the lead content regularly as a part of the regulatory requirements.”

Source indicates that additionally, a representative gave the confirmation of UP’s order of withdrawing batches dated from March 2014; however said that consumption of targeted product packs have taken place and the ones left have expired, which is a difficulty in recall.

As told to Reuters by Srivastava, “Our experts conducted several tests and each time the results were shocking.” Moreover, his team made way to New Delhi’s federal food inspectors for initiating research over Maggi on a bigger scale.

The Togolese forward, Emmanuel Adebayo who has been in fracas with his family and exposing them using different social media channels has been consoled and advised by the former Nigeria international, Henry Makinwa, to let go of his bitterness, anger and unhappiness towards his family and end his criticism or accusation against his family.

The 31-year old footballer has recently been exposing the issues he has with his family members on the social media in a series of posts, which are targeted at different members of the family.

The latest of such was on Wednesday when he alleged that his late brother, Peter, and elder brother, Kola, had tried to kill him among many other things.

But Spain-based Makinwa, who commented on the post on Wednesday, advised him to settle the feud in a meeting with his family members adding that he should ask for what each person wants and settle them once and for all.

The former Rayo Vallencano forward wrote, “Adebayor, it’s time to let go of your anger and unhappiness. I will advise you to have a final family meeting with your family.

“Ask everybody what they want from you and try to sort out what you can afford with them. Don’t forget that blood is thicker than water.

“I know you have tried wonderfully well for them but even we still blame God for not doing pretty well for us, so imagine that yourself. Try and be in touch with Mama don’t leave her alone.”

A 45-year old married British nurse, Angela Slinn (Pictured right) has died on Sunday barely one week after being rushed to the hospital because of pneumonia in India as she traveled to meet the younger lover, Mr Singh (Pictured left) she met on Facebook.

The mother of three allegedly did not tell her her estranged husband that she was flying India to see Jaspal Singh, 30, whom she met on Facebook.

Mrs Slinn, who worked as a nurse, had spoken of the trip to her children, aged 15 to 24 – but did not mention it to her husband Stephen, 48.

Her mother-in-law Doreen Slinn said: ‘I don’t understand how a healthy woman can suddenly die like that. She went to India because she thought she’d found love - but it turned into tragedy.’

Mr Singh - who lives in Ludhiana, Punjab, and first met his lover in 2014 - told the newspaper: 'I can’t believe she is no more.'

A man (name withheld) whom the troops of the Nigerian Army believed to be supplying fuel and food to the insurgents group, boko-haram has been arrested. The arrest was made in the early hours on Sunday at Daban Shata, a suburb of Baga, Borno State.

The Nigerian Army have been on the trail for the said man for some time now.. According to Olukolade who spoke with the press, He said

“A man who specialises in supplying fuel and food to terrorists was this morning nabbed in Daban Shata in the suburbs of Baga, Borno State.

“The military intelligence had been trailing him till he was eventually trapped in the early hours of Sunday. He is presently undergoing interrogation."
