Yes that is why . And for your information I am a male not a female

Don't mind them. They don't know that when you have a child with a European citizen it is almost guaranteed for you to remain in that country after doing the normal documentation process. It is difficult to separate parents and their children. I read in this trend where someone said that if you have a child with a Polish person that you will be deported. It is NEVER done! They don't know anything at all. And it is never a shameful thing to have a child with a Polish citizen because your future is more secured in Poland than what you have today in Nigeria. And someone is talking about shame.

NOTE:
I am not advising people not to be serious with their admission and studies while in Poland, but just trying to clarify something that needs to be understood.

My bro/sis be prepared don't be caught unaware there is an interview/question and answer session during ur submission. Years back, we've read from this thread of Polish embassy may or may not conduct interview for applicants either for study or work depending on your luck.
The story is not the same anymore. I can tell you from my observations during my submission every applicant were questioned and the most common question of all is why poland?what do you want to go and do in poland?so your response to any of those aforementioned questions determine the dimensions of the interview.

A guy that entered before me while I waited to be call next was for work and I heard his converse with VO he was asked
Why are you going to Poland?
How did you get the job?
How much will you be traveling with?(here d guy was drill because that question was broad and it's open ended one..... Both were just dragging it)
Did you have family in Poland ?

I can say that guy was most drill with questions among all. For work ohhhh.
A lady came out and said the VO asked only two questions
On my turn when I stepped in I couldn't see anyone but I stood where that guy stood and said good morning ma. I had same voice that was interviewing that previous guy replied good morning pls, remove your mask.

A tray opened under d barricades glass and said pls drop your docs. She started typing on her system yet I couldn't see her but I knew she was behind that glass. She continued typing for like 40-45sec. She stopped typing and she raised her head that was when I saw
her not clearly anyway
Why Poland?
What did you study in ur undergrad?
How many years course?
I didn't see a paid accommodation or agreement here..... I need to see paid accommodation agreement.... Immediately, I came in and explained what I know....
Where is the letter? Did you include the letter of accommodation from your Institution?
Who is your sponsor?
Pls, pronounce your sponsor's name.
Again

Thank you very much for this long-awaited information. I have been thinking about this, and people keep telling me that they don ask any question. Thank you very much. Remain blessed.

Am not sure they is any question or interview, just submit your documents that's all.

Really? I hope they do it like that without an interview on the appointment day.

No student gets more than one year visa at a go, but his question was connected to the duration of his bachelors degree programme. Therefore, the answer is 3 years otherwise, he has lied in his visa application form. Thank you.

Should I explain in my cover letter that I can't renew my passport if it has more than six month to the expiring date .. or what do think
Or I just leave it like that and hope for the visa... [qauote author=lindasweden post=102809315]

Fill in that you are coming back to Nigeria in 2024 September because that is actually the year that your programme will end. You were not admitted for a year programme. Right? So now you understand it. I wish you good luck.

Do not explain anything.

It's exactly two weeks that I've paid the tuition fee with no response from the University of Opole. What is happening there? Is anyone experiencing this too? Maybe many of us applied for it (Economics: concentration in International business). I have sent them messages, but no response. Is there any reason behind this?

Bro, attestation doesn't have to do with a particular signature, as long as the seal/stamp is that of MOE and MFA, any of their laison offices any where in the world has the power of attorney to issue attestation to documents as long as they have such official Seal/stamp.
The official MOE/MFA seal/stamp is what makes a document officially attested not a particular signature....just my thoughts.

Excerpts From Polish Embassy website:
The documents must be authenticated by the competent local authority before you present them to the consul. In most countries authentication is made by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Justice or another central authority of the document's country of origin.

My dear, you reason very well. Thank you for making people understand reality. What makes us human is our ability to reason. You are intelligent!

Again I repeat for the last time guys please pay attention and do things properly to avoid stories that touch .
ALL and EVERY authentication of educational documents MUST be done at MOE and MFA in Abuja. NOT Lagos.

This is NOT an option. It is the way , the truth and the life.

A lot of people on here tend to mislead others with speculations, false claims, and ideologies. Which eventually leads people to do the wrong things that may affect their visa decisions.

Can you back your statement with some proof to make it valid? Proof me wrong with evidence, please. Was it written in the Polish embassy website or any Polish University website that one can only get his/her eligibility documents from Abuja only and not other states within Nigeria? Is the ministry of education in Lagos and/or other states in Nigeria fake? Statements without proof cannot be regarded as valid. The fact that everyone is doing it in Abuja doesn't mean that the ministry of education and ministry of foreign affairs in every other state in Nigeria are all fake. if they were all fake they wouldn't exist at the first place. Thank you.

I don't think it is about submitting the required documents. I did everything right the first time and I used 1.6m but was denied. Then I appealed with 900k and was granted visa. I met some people that used 650k and 700k that were granted visa in their first try. It's just luck I guess.

Please I want to get clarified on something.
I saw this on the embassy website.
"Your passport and copies of your previous visas – valid for at least 3 months beyond return date – are required"
What does that statement mean? My passport will be expired by March next year and I'm for October intake.

My dear, you didn't quote the Polish website well. This is how they stated it;

"3. Passport issued within last ten years, valid for at least three months from the expected return date, with at least two blank pages for visas."

It simply means the following;

a). that your passport must be issued within the last ten year. This means that you are not expected to visit the embassy with an expired passport.
b). that your passport must be valid for at least 3 months after the date you suppose to return back to your home country. For instance, if your planned return date is 25th September 2021, you should have extra three months after your return date.
c). that your passport must have at least 2 unused pages and those pages will be reserved for future visas. This means that there should be some empty pages in your passport where your Polish student visa will be issued into.

They don't need copies of your previous visas. Ok? So relax my brother.

Linda, I'm falling for you. Are you married?

You are very funny smiley Thanks anyway. But you know that some people think that visas are impossible to get. One of the reasons embassies deny us visa is because we do not have a culture of reading. Otherwise, we should have studied the Polish website first and understand what documents we need before looking for help from others. It is true that the financial requirement might be hard for most of us, but do we even believe in ourselves that we could do the little ones?

Please will 3 million Naira in a credit card account be enough for someone going for masters in University of Wroclaw?
I've already paid 3650 Euros for the first year and still have 3,500 Euros to pay for the 2nd year.

Just go back to that my post where I did the calculations of the total amount for the credit card limit. All you have to do is to replace the cost of accommodation with your university accommodation fee and multiply it by 12. Then add all other figures there together with that your accommodation fee before converting the total to naira. The final result will be the total amount you should have on your own credit card certificate. I hope you understand my explanation.

I did. See what they said

I wanted to use transfers to fund the account and make payment but it keeps getting blocked by the bank. They said I have $100 monthly limit on my card.

Just contact your bank to increase your monthly limit. That all. Also, convert the zloty into euro and add extra on top of it to make the payment. You will definitely lose some money in the process, but that is one of the sacrifices you have to make to escape from Nigeria smiley

For 2 years msc programme.i assumed the multiplier should be 24 and not 12 for accommodation and monthly living expenses

Both for two years MSc or three years bachelors degree, you have to multiply it by 12 months because they issue only one year visa each time you apply. When the visa expires you have to extend your visa with the results of the previous year in other to keep studying. Remember that you have to follow instructions from the Polish embassy website as it stated it clearly that it should be multiplied by 12 months. Don't do what you assume. Do as the embassy instructed.

I've read over and over again but I'm not sure that works again tho sincerely, who can you say got their visas with 2M recently tho? Loll

A lot of people got their visas with N2 million (self-funded) because their tuition fees and accommodation appeared to be one of the cheapest in Poland. If you really understand the information on the Polish embassy website you would understand how easy it is to do it yourself. It is not all about a huge amount of money, but it is all about personalizing the calculation of the figures on the polish embassy website.

For example, the website states that:
7. Documents confirming the possession of financial resources to cover the costs of return travel and costs of stay in Poland (to be selected from the list - there is no obligation to present all of them). The minimum required amount of financial resources is as follows: 1) PLN 2 500 for the return trip, 2) the cost of accommodation shown on the basis of hotel or rental agreement, 3) PLN 701 for each month of stay (PLN 701 x 12 months = 8 412 PLN):

To personalize this according to your university, say the University of Opole,
return trip PLN 2,500 + Uni Opole student hostel PLN 390 per month X 12 months = PLN 4680 + living expenses PLN 701 per month X 12 months = PLN 8412. When you add all together the result will be = PLN 15592.
Using www.xe.com website PLN 1 = N112. So 15592 X 112 = N1,731,937.72Kobo
Source: Polish Embassy website. https://www.gov.pl/web/nigeria-en/d-type-national-visa

You see that it is not even up to 2 million naira. The above explanation is only going to favor the University of Opole admitted students if self-funded. The amount is expected to increase if someone is sponsoring you because that person is expected to have some money for himself after sponsoring you. This is what the polish embassy automatically expects you to know after reading their funding aspect.

Therefore, if you had read over and over this platform and didn't find the solution, have you read over and over the Polish embassy website?
Thanks.

I don't think this monetary requirements works again when people with less than 4 million naira visas are rejected.

Those with N4 million do not get their visa because they failed to submit all the required documents while those with N2 million got their visas because they followed the instructions of the Polish embassy. It's not all about the huge amount of money but it's all about submitting the required documents. If you had visited the Polish embassy website you wouldn't make this comment about the monetary requirement because that is the requirement as of today. Maybe you didn't apply to any Universities because if you do you should be able to visit the Polish embassy website, but I will give you the opportunity to access the information regarding the financial requiremnts by providing the website here for you.

Congratulations! But I think you have to pay your first-semester tuition fee first, make arrangements for accommodation, and arrange your credit card certificate thing with the first bank or other banks with other required documents before booking an appointment with the embassy. hello, pls i want to make enquires on funding, when your sponsor is not in the country what do you need and will you be given visa??
the second question is on self sponsor, how much do you need and how do you do the funding and what do you need to present at the embassy to prove you have the required amount for self sponsoring?
thank you

Follow the instructions on the Polish embassy website and do as it instructs. Regarding the funding, remember to also add the cost of the accommodation that you have secured by multiplying the monthly cost by 12. Below is what it says in terms of funding;

7. Documents confirming the possession of financial resources to cover the costs of return travel and costs of stay in Poland (to be selected from the list - there is no obligation to present all of them). The minimum required amount of financial resources is as follows: 1) PLN 2 500 for the return trip, 2) the cost of accommodation shown on the basis of hotel or rental agreement, 3) PLN 701 for each month of stay (PLN 701 x 12 months = 8 412 PLN):

a) Traveler's check;

b) Original certificate of a credit card limit issued by the bank that issued the credit card;

c) Original certificate of cash in a bank having its registered office in the territory of the Republic of Poland;

d) Document confirming the granting of a national or foreign scholarship;

e) Original certificate of employment and amount of earnings;

f) Original letter of sponsorship confirmed by a notary public - if the applicant does not finance his/her stay in Poland. The sponsor confirms the possession of funds to cover the costs of return travel and the costs of the applicant's stay in Poland on the basis of the documents listed in point a, b, c or e.

Hello All pls putting the proof of funds in the credit card during visa application can you take it out immediately the visa is granted or would you need it for any documentation when you travel

When the visa is granted to you, you can withdraw the fund. You deposited it there because of the embassy/visa granting purpose. So the answer is yes.
