Judges Please we urge you to reconsider...lets do the cypher...whether dissing or topical. Its the path to the lesser controversy.

The cypher or topical wasn't such a bad idea

Bringing limerick to replace anybody is even more controversial than anything. I have loads of respect for his lyricism but Jigsawkillah and Elymax went past the quarterfinals.....that right was earned by them

Someone just has to compromise...ELYMAXiimus, Jigsawkillah... Let's discuss this at least. Let's start from what you feel should be appropriate

This tourney is now getting controversial. Jigsawkillah....just agree to the terms....If you leave like that, it wouldn't be nice. I don't like it when people feel cheated. Just try to come strong at ELYMAXiimus. You almost sound like you feel he'll win you

elymax & jigsaw must battle tomorrow - 8-12 lines to qualify as a semi-finalist. they were the weakest in the last round.

To the issue at hand....I raised this concern on time...even before the quarter final. I think i even raised it before my first round brawl with obainojazz. Five semi-finalists slugging it out for the four positions. Teddy suggested a cypher and many agreed back then. Most of us were sold on the idea that we would have to do a verse and diss others and the weakest would drop out.
Saying now that the two cats with the weakest verses would battle for a right to be in the semi has a touch of injustice on it. If it was communicated before the quarters..then it would have been a lovely and welcome idea. At this stage, i would even accept darkrebel666's suggestion that it be a topical verse than this last minute shocker.

That being said, i'm not a judge so whatever you guys agree on...i will go along with it but i felt i had to speak my mind on the issue.

Let's keep it in line with the theme of the tourney. You could always organise a topical tourney after the Holocaust

Well technically you have defined an audio cypher. A written cypher is however very much scripted and many have been known to carry topics

we must write to the particular topic & after all verses have been posted, the judges would cast their vote.

that means we won't be utilising the Tourney's standard voting criteria.
we would be using the K.O.P's format:-

•Vocabulary
•Rhymes
•Flow
•Imagery
•Enjoyability ✘

That wouldn't be so nice actually.....this is a diss tourney not a topical one. So using poetic stuff for elimination doesn't cut it. We should script a verse and diss the other four contestants. That's more in tune with this tourney
