Are you saying its Only politicians that can afford such luxury? Is it that we don't have legit. Biz men and women who can afford such luxury houses? We need to learn to change our mentality. Its actually eating us up. I use to think its only politicians that can afford to live a luxury life. I am not a politician, they create enimity amongst the average nigerians. God is our strenght.

Yea I forgot to include Fraudstars scam artist and the pastors. No one I repeat, No one making a decent and honest living in Nigeria will afford that. I know so many young hustlers who will in years of hustling afford the houses, but they are all unclean as feacal materials. BTW, I am not demarketing your business.

And it is a huge flop! Skelewu is officially dead with the birth of this lousy video, I thought it would drive Azonto to obscurity, but this won't even compete with Alingo and Etighi.

The hatred for Nigerians mostly females knows no bound, Special Thanks to 'Kemi Omololu Olunloyo.

Any reason for that? I have heard people saying that and I find it very hard not to believe with what have heard and seen.

@imperiouxx
Canadian racial diversity is very high and it is adjudged to be the highest in the world. Toronto is the most diverse city on earth (confirmed). Stand on a street of Toronto, you will all colors, shapes and sizes within 15 minutes. In Canada, they don't use accent to judge if you are illegal migrant or not.

This is a country asssumed chiefly by immigrants who settled long time ago and most still struggle with English average Nigerian student speaks better than many chinkos and Indians who have been in Canada over decades. Their crime in this regards is not because of their nationality or accent but they have overdone something for them to be exposed.

"Two dark skinned girls working in Walmart"..... That alone is a sell out.

Black girls are everywhere, the cultural diversty in Canada is high; at least with what I see in Ontario.

SIN or no SIN card students on scholarship are not allowed to work in most countries and chances of staying back after graduating is very slim.

Obviously, they know the law and they chose to feign ignorance and outsmart the system. I don't pity them. I know people like them they are the ones who form "bigger girls" to their mateys stuck with ASUU in Nigeria while they are breaching their terms of admittance in a generous country.

People who paid raw cash as International students are in school fvcking their books on daily basis hoping to grad and get a legit job and settle down. Good riddance to bad nonsense. The good Nigerians are tired of the bad image this "na we sabi pass" sort of people give us.

Nairaland / General / Re: 5 Steps To Develop Self-Confidence by lyfe(m): 4:40am On Oct 08, 2013
Matthew briggs: Quite very useful tips. Moreover adding to the op's tips on building confidence. There are 3 core steps to gaining self confidence. I will use my life experiences to relay them.

1. Build your intellect, Increase your knowledge base - I was once a shy person an extreme introvert, in fact my mum told me when I was little when visitors came around I always ran and hid my self. Lack of self confidence plagued me during my early years.

Until at a very young age I got to stay with a lecturer and everything changed, I had access to this amazing library and an awesome collection of books. I was hungry for knowledge and I therefore read ferociously, My knowledge and intelligence grew tremendously. It boosted my confidence I felt more sure of my self and abilities, I knew I was not empty but carried something very few carried. Till today the hunger for knowledge has never died.

Knowledge is the ultimate self confidence boaster. It helps you stand tall in front of your peers because you know what they don't. I got to understand that every one of us have our insecurities, fears, weakness and imperfections, we are all afraid of something no matter how beautiful, handsome or strong we look. Moreover I learnt that knowledge and intellect is not enough.

2. Look and Act confident :- Been brilliant and knowledgeable is not enough, you've got to let the world know you have strong belief in your self and capabilities. The catch is that I think 70% of human communication is non verbal meaning, people access you based on how you carry your self.

The way you walk, talk, sit and stand . With this new found knowledge, I refined the way I walked, I walk like someone that's on a mission no dragging of my feet or walking like someone who has all the time in the world. I sit like an executive that's in a board meeting, I talk assertively, clearly and intelligently, I look at you in the eyes when I have too. I stand uprightly in firm postures. To pull this off you've got to imagine your self as the CEO of a fortune 500 company or have a role model you look up to. Mine was Apple' s late Steve jobs, Oracle's Larry elision and Obama.

3. Build a track record of achievements, gather some bragging rights - The most surest way to build your confidence is putting yourself out there and doing something that you can look back and pat yourself in the back saying "I did this sh*t". That's nothing that more self assuring than looking back at your achievement it might academical, physical, financial etc. and there they stand speaking for you.

In my case I dared to do stuff others were afraid of, taught my self software's people were scared of and went on to do projects that when I look back during my darkest hours I smile and say to my self " dude you did this".

Self confidence is not a destination but a journey. It a process, a state of mind affected by what you feed your mind with.

I have not achieved hundred percent confidence as I write this, I still have my heart beating fast when am about to make a speech, but I have surely come a long way. I have this unwavering belief in my self and ability to deliver.

Finally if you can't act confident, fake it.

#Matthew Briggs

I want to hammer, I want the limited edition of that ride, She has flat yansh - can't date her, I must make second class upper, My friends are making it. All ends with just one thing: death.

As much as I find this thread disturbing and tears jerking, we should be having threads like this once in a while.

Good to be sober, I think if we think about death more it will make us saner that everything is superficial and vane. The death that took away medical student, doctors, musicians, casket designers, pastor and presidents of a nation. So, who WTF am I?

The events (Eleda ooo) at the time the movie was making sense. I guess the movie was stopped because it was starting to reveal what people thought was just a conspiracy. Now, the US Government has owned up to the fact that Area 51 actually exists only that we don't know if aliens are there or not.

Dunno about Nikita but it was nice tho.

Foreign Affairs / Another Mass Shooting In US; African American This Time by lyfe(m): 2:57am On Sep 17, 2013
Another mass shooting in US with 13 people feared dead.

Aaron Alexis, the gunman suspected in the killing of 12 people at a Navy building in Washington Monday morning, has been identified as a Navy veteran from New York who was arrested in two previous shooting incidents.

Alexis, who was discharged from the Navy two years ago after serving hitches in Texas and Illinois, sprayed bullets from the fourth floor down to the cafeteria area in the Naval Sea Systems Command headquarters in southeast Washington in an attack that began just after 8 a.m. Alexis, who may have used a stolen ID to get into the building, died later as he traded shots with responding police, though it was not clear if he killed himself or was brought down by cops.

Hewlitt Packard issued a statement Monday night saying that at the time of the shootings, Alexis worked for The Experts, a subcontractor on an HP Enterprise Services contract to refresh equipment used on the Navy Marine Corps Intranet network.

Many who managed to escape in the early minutes of the episode recalled panic and fear after a routine Monday morning was shattered with fire from an AR-15 and a handgun.

"They sounded like 'pop, pop, pop,'" said Patricia Ward, a logistics management specialist who was in the cafeteria. "Everybody just panicked at first ... It was just people running, running, running.

"I just kept running," Ward said. "Our mission is to take care of the Navy ... After today, it's not secure enough for me."

Properties / Re: Things You Should Know Before Becoming A Landlord by lyfe(m): 4:21pm On Sep 16, 2013
It is hard to truly define what a landlord does because a landlord does so many different things. You must be able to adapt to these different roles to have a successful career as a landlord. Here are some examples of the roles a landlord plays:

Realtor
Salesperson
Detective
Negotiator
Debt Collector
Repairman
Therapist/Counselor
Supervisor/Watchdog

So true! My landlord was all above, even a sex therapist to that Corper chic from Edo who chose to pay her rent with her body, while we hustled hard to avoid world war III from Mr debt collector.
