cococandy: It is an honest way of making a living, no doubt. But let's talk about what you have to put up with concerning such jobs. It is not for a fainted heart. What the issue with Nigerians abroad doing such work? There is no any issue with them, they just have to do it because that's the choice they have. If they have options to chose from, packing shiit wouldn't be their choice |

erico2k2: Honestly speaking, this is one of the aspects where I rate Nigeria system very low. Things like car loans, mortgage, student loans, etc would have made many Nigerians grow economically and financially more than what we have at the moment. Using 20 million naira to build a house when mortgage with little interest would do the job and invest such money to make more money |

cococandy: That doesn't mean shiit for those who don't plan to serve the system forever but already have their sight on how they want to be their own boss. My brother was laid off some years back during Soludo I guess, today he's far better serving himself. Sometimes, our choices make or mar us. Imagine a professor migrating from India to Canada, only to be reduced to cab driver because there their education system wouldn't absorb him. Choices! |

Successtube: I hope you have the courage to do the needful before it becomes too difficult to get out. Don't let what the family and friends will say about you stop you from doing what's necessary. And don't let them pressure you, people like me are solidly built to wade off pressure from family and friends 2 Likes |

Shawarmagirl: A bank manger in Nigeria doesn't pass through what a caregiver abroad passes through everyday. One is a boss and the other one is a subordinate at the lowest level of hierarchy, that's first. A caregiver endures all sorts of treatments from the employer and mostly from the patient as we have seen so many times. They put up with a lots of rubbish. And lastly, as long as you are living comfortably within your income and other benefits as a bank manager, it shouldn't bother you at all if a caregiver abroad is earning far more than you. Dangote is the richest man in Nigeria, yet he still doesn't stop chasing after money which means no matter how much you're making daily, it will never be enough 6 Likes 3 Shares |

Notfogotten: Let's talk about the jobs itself. I can't clean toilets for living. It's a degrading job that exposes you to a lots of worse things. Washing and packing different poos with different odours and colours and forms every single day for a living in exchange for all the benefits that you listed? No waaaayyyyy! You will even eventually lose your sense of smell in the long run! Is that part of the benefits you are talking about? Even as I'm not a bank manager in Nigeria, I can't still envy you for packing shits abroad for living 4 Likes 1 Share |

Lol. In other words, they need to inflict more hardship on the helpless Nigerians just to curb smuggling? What happened to security agents doing their job at the borders? This is the same excuse that they gave for removing subsidy which many mumu Nigerians actually supported |

agabusta: If that's what you meant, it will pay off in the long run. It's like one buying and installing those small solar lights in the home. The initial cost might drain your pocket but it will turn out to be a wise spending over the years. The only problem is that many people can't afford the cost eventhough it will off years later |
Properties / Re: D0nt Be Broke Because You Are Building A Home by maasoap(m): 7:30am On Sep 03 |
Trustme2: It doesn't matter, trust me. What was the cost of materials eight years ago too? If you run your business successfully and expand it significantly for the next ten years, the gain you will have will be more than enough to build you your spec of a house and still have plenty of money from the expansion of your business over the ten years period left. If I had wasted my 600k business fund on a piece of land (one plot) eight years ago as I almost did, would I have been able to achieve the things I achieved over the period of eight years after? The answer is no. I forgone buying 600k land eight years but bought a land for 1.7 million naira last year from the gain I made from that same 600k. Spent like 15 million naira on the project, from that same 600k and still have money or assets to continue doing my business. Didn't the waiting worth it in your own opinion? |

Shikena: Haba! Who said that? All of them are facing this issue but I'm saying that Uniben has taken their destiny in their own hands. This initiative was just announced like one or two days ago now! And that was because FG has realised the challenge that those institutions are facing concerning this recent exploitative billing method. |

Left for me alone without people disturbing me, I wouldn't build anything in the next ten years. I know what 15-20 million naira can do for me businesswise 1 Like 1 Share |

JJacko: They cost of a simple modest car can not compare to the cost of a simple three bedroom bungalow, trust me. But as long as the one you prefer first won't wreck your business or wreck you financially, you're good to go. Just that it is very common for house projects to be stopped midway due to dry source of money if not planned properly 1 Like 1 Share |

Good advice. Many Nigerians including youths are wrecking themselves financially just because they want to own their own houses. They would even empty their business funds into the building projects 3 Likes 1 Share |
