CUlture is very important. Each tribe has its own culture. Some shake hands, some curtsey, some bow, some kiss and so on.... There is no point saying this is the 21st century. all cultures have existed through the ages and will continue to. No need to hate a culture. @op....i think you should have waited till your MIL focused on you before u went on your knees. that way we all will be able to clarify if she left you on your knees on purpose. I am yoruba and i know that my mom will never consent to her DIL kneeling down for ages. Her DIL's dont even kneel down with both knees again and she doesnt notice.. Like a poster said initially, she already knows what they are capable of. Since nobody compelled you to kneel, y complain? i do not c any big deal in you kneeling for yur MIL o....na her culture but u need to get up immediately except shes praying from you. Most older women i know sef will help you up... No need for tribal war abeg... if u dont like a particular culture, no one asked u. u can like to keep quiet ..thanks |

I have never been heartbroken before though i have been in and out of a couple of relationships irrespective of who breaks up. Me no dey feel anyhow o. worst is i miss d person highest for like a week but its really no biggies. i dont hate dem after d whole ish.. i just focus on more important things and move on. shikena.. op, no point using another person for the sole purpose of getting over your ex. Op.... It is either you want to sleep with him or you do not. Am sure people's responses will not change what's on your mind to do. Anywayz, for comment sake, I got some things to say... Did he give you a condition that if u do not sleep with him, u will not graduate?? Try to be certain about d implications of not sleeping with him and most certainly get it on record. If you really are not interested, look him in the eyes and tell him so. Also check yourself for some kinda body language dat is vibing from u dat might make him want such.. Dis is d 21st century and everybody has got a choice. If d issue persists and u know its def gon affect your graduation, let your sponsors in on it. They will have the best plan to deal with d situation. U be pikin ni?? Mhen....I old small o. I think I was 12 years old when I finally stopped. It was not funny o. I go dream say I dey toilet or bush and just let it all out. I used to wake up while actually peeing on my bed and I remember I always felt like beating myself. Thank God I didn't go to a boarding school. Hi, I finished with a 3.40 CGPA from geology. I am presently working in an IT firm but running part-time masters in unilag in exploration geophysics by the side. Its so difficult getting any reasonable job @ all talk more of a geo-related job. If you are certain that you can make d 2.1 if you add an extra semester, I implore u to go ahead. If otherwise, nothing still do u. Its just likely you will have to develop yourself more to get a superb job. Whatever decision u take, it is well bro. Na 9ja we dey and we must make am.
