The phone and charger pics cracked me up big time. Your piece surely makes a lot of sense. Funny but very true. God help the men and the men of God alike. It's not easy. Women! Necessary "evils".

Don't make the 301cad payment. Remove the 26cad charge for delivery within Canada so you can pay the normal charge of 275cad.

Good evening nairalanders, i have an issue paying for my evaluation by ices. when i got to the fee summary , its billing me 301 cad instead of 275cad. pls i need your help. thanks

I suppose you also clicked on Courier delivery within Canada which explains the extra 26cad added to you supposed 275cad bill.
Review your application and de highlight the delivery option within Canada and you'll be fine.
Good evening.

SOS!!!
I have applied for ICES and have uploaded required documents but called my school, IMSU for official transcripts yesterday only to be told NASU has been on strike for the 4th week now. However I am yet to pay for ICES. Problem now is should I make payment and wait for the strike to be over so I send transcripts or should I just wait for the strike to be called off before making payment?
Meanwhile I've registered for ielts and preparing already...

Hello guys

Pls while registering with ices, the part that request for permission to release your info to anoda party (friend, broda etc) , what do we input?

What if you are using a canadian address cos of cost, is that the essence of that question, or is dat the part u include IRCC or do we just leave it blank

Thank you

Yes you can either include IRCC or leave it blank. By default, ICES grants CIC electronic access to your evaluation report wether you so permit or not. Mind you it's not electronic access to your personal info but your ECA Report ONLY. I hope this helps.

Hello All,

I'd like to know if there are any differences between the Canadian Federal Immigration program and the Provincial Program. I'd like to know if the procedures are different, the Minimum balance to show for proof of funds, etc.

Also, if there are/is any other thread(s) with details for the Provincial programs, i'd really appreciate a link be shared.

Many thanks

Federal Skilled Worker Program share similarities with Provincial Nomination Program (PNP) as they both have their point requirements.
While federal is organised ONLY by a federal body -IRCC, the provincial programs are organised by the different provinces in Canada with different point requirements; but still linked to IRCC.
The link: Being nominated by a Province or PNP gives you 600points in the Express Entry (EE) pool towards the federal program. So once you're nominated by a province, you have +600 to your CRS Score increasing your chance of getting an ITA (Invitation to Apply) from the EE pool.
PNP boosts your chances at the federal program.
See more in the PNP thread; https://www.nairaland.com/4180147/all-canadian-provincial-nominee-programs/74#72168046

If you're using ICES, you don't need to evaluate WAEC, it won't give you any additional points.

Many thanks!

Thanks Nlanders for always helping out. Do I also need to evaluate my WAEC Certificate as I am evaluating my Bachelors degree with ices? If I do will it give more points for EE selection? And would it mean an extra $200 charge as they charge $200 per Certificate? Pls help me get this evaluation done right. Many thanks All.

Well.. you can’t use an expired passport for anything in this entire process. Ensure to renew first.

Update on My chat with the guy
he made me realise one can go ahead and do it by himself if you feel d price is too much , hahahaha dude ain't ready to reduce the price , that guy no send anyone, and with what I noticed he doesn't appear desperate, he said one will pay him 60% first, send him your transcripts and other necessary documents which he will verify and warned not to send fake documents, then balance up when it is ready. knowing fully well that one will still write an exam and still be interviewed by the school rep(found dt on the School's site) so I asked if those will be skipped since one is applying tru an agent, to my surprise he said yes.
Hope you guys are aware d guy is UK based and not in Mexico, going by what he told me, and if one wants to go with January intake, embassy is closed abi? been thinking about how feasible it will be
I understand we want to make use of this opportunity, because it is a scholarship program and ja pa commot naija, but wait a minute, what if, i mean what if you pay and your money enters voicemail, who you want hold responsible? 1300dolls no b small money for dz economy mehn,m just being careful, m not saying m sure d guy ain't genuine. Dz country don teach person to get sense by force, lol
OGA benpedro please don't get me wrong, but if there's a way to verify the authenticity of this guy as the School's agent i personally will appreciate it. Gracias

FBI special Agent contact the school already and verify yourself. It won't cost you up to 1300 dolls. Take the lead for once like an Abba Kyari. lol

EVILFOREST:

So ENGLISH LANGUAGE is now a measure of employability....??
Someone’s language for that matter...
When did MATHEMATICS become a measure of employability...
What we need in NIGERIA is simply viral industrialization.
U need to visit GUANGZHOU in CHINA, and check out those who manufacture laptops and other accessories if they know what ENGLISH is.....

U need to visit St.VENICO street in ITALY to check if those who manufacture those ITALIAN SHOES can speak English language and solve mathematics..

We are FINISHED oooooooooo
NIGERIA needs steady power supply
And Industrial revolution.
Let’s stop deceiving ourselves with those PAPERWORK RUBBISH.
Most dropouts in the US thought and came up with drones.
FACTORIES should just proliferate the way churches are proliferating, that’s all we need.
We import everything we consume here, including refined crude oil.
Several CARGO PLANES visit Nigeria on daily basis, just to offload items for the terrible consumers.

WAKE UP! WAKE UP!!.
No YOUTH is unemployable.
Even the disabled, work.

You spilled my thoughts verbatim! God bless you eventhough you're an evilforest. Lol. How dare the OP say MOST Nigerian graduates? OP be careful. I'm sure you're not a youth.

Mexico is a very beautiful country with happy people. People smile at you everyday unlike Nigeria where everyone is fuming smiley . I have been here for more than 3 years now, yet I've never come across any form of racism, instead I'm being treated like a king(one of the reasons I always want to run back to Mexico whenever I'm in the US where white people give you that dirty look) . The feeling where your pupils want to give you coins so as to touch your hair, where adults want to take pictures with you and their family and the guys in the bar want to relate with you and invite you to their table to drink for free. In my second year as a teacher in a big private school here in a very rich neighborhood, I was promoted as the coordinator of all the foreign language teachers in the school (over 20 of them and most of them Mexicans) after I helped their secondary school students won their first ever state English debate challenge trophy. In Nigeria, the job would've been given to the principal's concubine smiley or a family member
OP the boldened here is what I want you to clarify with the boldened above. Pls no ill inteneded. I'm just an interested reader. Thanks a bunch.

I'm sorry my sister but please try not to give your opinions simply based on how you feel or what you've heard others say. First, Mexico can never be compared to the United States but when compared to Nigeria, it is heaven. All of us won't go to the USA. And hey, I live in the borderland and have a 2years US B1/B2 visa stamped on my passport yet I've never spent a night in the USA.
Also, at the bold, why do Nigerians bomb themselves in churches and mosques? Why do Nigerians use people for rituals and mine their skulls? Why do Nigerians do internet fraud? Or better why do Africans still go around their villages butt naked?..... You get my drift? All of this permutations are borne out of ignorance. Don't generalize. Don't say Mexicans smuggle themselves to the USA when it's just a minority of them that do so. Also know that most people trying to cross into the US border illegally are originally not Mexicans but from other Latin American countries
Compare the boldened above and the boldened below: Where you said you were in the US. Are you making a mistake or omission?

@Mannycrown,if your wife's NOC as primary applicant falls under 3131(Pharmacist)her evaluation must be done by pebc not WES.I would advise you type pebc on the search engine and read previous posts on that. The pebc process takes time and you can get guidance from people that have done that by reading it up.Goodluck
Thanks a lot. I will follow up the thread

I and wifey have decided to give this a try having read through with interest how you help one another with guidance here. This is amazing. Keep it up guys. Good job!
So she will be principal applicant. We want to start with degree assessments and IELTS. My confusions are these:
1.As a pharmacist will she do assessment for only her degree or WAEC should be assessed too?
2.I'm I going to have my degree assessment too and write IELTS with her?
3.If my WAEC needs to be assessed I remember having a mistake with my day of birth (January 10th instead of January 11th) on my WAEC certificate. What do I do about this pls?
Education / Re: MUST READ: Differences Between Science Lab Tech(slt) And Med Lab Science (MLS) by mannycrown: 7:09am On Aug 14, 2018
A worthy write up. Many ignorant jambites and students have been misled into science lab tech in the guise of becoming med lab scientists on graduation.
Look before you leap good people. God bless your endeavours.
Science lab technology and medical lab science/technology / biomedical science ARE NOT THESAME NEITHER ARE THEY RELATED.
Same goes to students of Biomedical Instrumentation. Don't be misled. Biomedical Instrumentation is a course in Medical Lab Science.
Studying Biomedical Instrumentation in the university doesn't award you BMLS neither does it make you a Med lab scientist.
