One of the robbery suspects paraded by the Ondo state Police Command on Tuesday, Ayodeji Bamidele, confessed that he went into robbery in order to finance his tailoring business.



Bamidele and Sunday Joseph were apprehended in the Ijapo area of Akure, Ondo State capital, after supposedly carrying out a robbery action on a couple

The duo were supposedly members of a four-man robbery gang in the town before their arrest.

The police supposed that the suspects had been causing nightmare for people in some areas of Akure with several robbery operations.

Ayodeji said, “ I joined the gang recently because I needed N60,000 to boost my tailoring business. I learned tailoring, but I don’t have money to continue with the business; so I joined the gang to enable me to raise the money.”

“There are other members of the gang, Kehinde and Tope, who have not been arrested, Kehinde is the leader; he carried the gun and we followed him to operate; I don’t carry gun and I don’t kill. That I joined them is the work of the devil,” Ayodeji said.

Other gang members paraded at the headquarters of the police command were Victor Ologun, Olaode Aboyebi, Innocent Ikechukwu and Yakubu Kayode.

Mr. Gbenga Adeyanju, the state Commissioner of Police, said the suspects would soon be dragged to court.

“The command is determined to rid the state of criminality, especially during the Yuletide. Once again, we solicit the cooperation of the people of the state by way of prompt information,” Adeyanju said.

Mugabe made the announcement during a parliamentary hearing to impeach him and launches the nation into a new era of governance.

Zimbabweans have been thrown into great joy and jubilation following his resignation.

Just last week, Mugabe disagreed to resign after the military takeover and Zimbabweans thought his wife was behind it.

Mugabe has ruled Zimbabwe for over 30years. He started leading Zimbabweans since 1980.

It was gathered that there were widespread vote-buying by the three top parties in the Anambra governorship election yesterday Saturday with money ranging from N500 to N5,000 depending on the polling station.



The struggle for vote-buying caused chaos at Enem Hall, Otolo Nnewi ward II, Nnewi North local government area at about 2 pm when four young guys supposedly pulled out guns and started shooting to the air during the afternoon voting time.

It was gathered that the incident erupted when powerful Nnewi politician showed up at the pulling unit and threw money at the voters after casting his vote.

Following the development, four young buys rushed out from the crowd and pulled out pistols, gathered the money and fled to the bush, causing fears among voters.

Following the election casualties in the Anambra election, a voter voiced out that ballot box 0017 was missing from the materials delivered to the polling unit about 11:30am and voters disagreed to cast their votes until the ballot box is delivered to the pulling unit.

A Zimbabwean man from Bulawayo's Mabutweni suburb got killed when his neighbour supposedly tore his stomach open with a knife, leaving his intestines poured out after the attacker was told his wife was cheating on him, Chronicle says.



Spencer Mpofu, who was in his 30s, died after allegedly being stabbed by his neighbour Sdodo Ncube who is on the run.

The incident occurred on Wednesday at about 4PM.

The deceased’s father who only identified himself as Mr Mpofu said his son died over a petty issue which he did not state.

He said his family was shocked by his son’s untimely death saying the brawl was not supposed to lead to his death.

“We were very shocked as a family when we heard the news. How can someone kill a fellow human being like a dog. We hope the police will find him and the criminal will be brought to book. Sdodo is our neighbour and he should have tried to solve the dispute in a civil manner but his behaviour demonstrated that he was a criminal,” said Mr Mpofu.

A source said Ncube allegedly stabbed Mpofu for informing him that his wife was having extra marital affairs at the shops in the suburb.

The misunderstanding between the two started in the morning and turned fatal in the afternoon.

He added that when Mpofu told Ncube that his wife was a prostitute who was having numerous affairs with other men in the suburb, this did not go down well with the latter.

Ncube left and came back a few minutes later allegedly brandishing two knives and a knobkerrie and warned other revellers not to interfere before ripping his victim’s belly open with a knife leaving his intestines protruding.

“The fight started at around 11AM when the two were drinking. At first it was not clear what the two were fighting over because Spencer was beating up Sdodo and provoking him. Sdodo tried to avoid the provocation and was apologising,” said the source at the shopping centre who spoke on condition of anonymity.

“Later at around 4PM Mpofu came and they had another fight, that’s when he said “yikho bekudlela umfazi” (your wife has sexual relations with other people) and Sdodo got angry. He went out and came back in a few minutes carrying two big knives and a knobkerrie. He warned everyone against restraining him and stabbed Spencer in the stomach leaving his intestines in the open.”

Sources said an ambulance came two hours later and Mpofu died upon arrival at Mpilo Central Hospital.

A man, Gbaminiyi Adeyiga 88, begged Ikorodu Customary Court in Lagos to make void his 30-year-old marriage after he said his wife is sleeping around and has refused to take care of him.

The 88-year-old man who lives at No.3 Adeyiga St, off Munirat Aleje Street in Ikorodu, told the court that his wife was always throwing death threats at him.

“My wife does not take care of me any longer; she does not give me good food and different men come to sleep with her in our home.

“She frustrates me and she wants to kill me, I don’t want to die now, please separate us, “he pleaded.

On the other side, she wife, Sekinat, 55, who is a trader, beat down all the allegations her husband made against her.

She told the court that she is still inlove with her husband and wants her marriage with him to move on.

“I beg the court to settle us. He has never caught me with a man. He always suspected my every move to the extent that he smells my pants whenever I go out and come back.

“I want this court to settle this matter I am not ready for divorce,’’ she pleaded.

Mrs Funmi Adeola, the president of the court, notwithstanding, urged Sekinat to repent from all those characters and take good care of her husband in his old age.

Adeola suspended the case until Nov. 30 for judgment.

A man, Haruna Murtari, 35, who supposedly penetrated a 4-year-old girl on Thursday was dragged to Ogudu Magistrates' court in Lagos.



Murtari who live at Gangara area in Mile 12, Lagos, is currently labelled with three-count charge of sexual assault, defilement and unlawful detention with defiling motives.

According to the Prosecutor, Mr Lucky Ihiehie, the supposed rapist, who lives in the same compound with complainant, carried out the offences at Gangara area, Mile 12, on Nov. 6.

The prosecutor said that the girl's father tabled the event that played out at Ketu police station the very day it occurred.

“The girl’s mother informed her husband that their daughter was in pains and that the accused had defiled her.

“The accused sent the girl to buy biscuits and when she returned he gave her his phone to watch movie, before having canal knowledge of her,’’ he said

Ihiehie explained that the accused undressed the minor and rubbed cream in her private parts and inserted his manhood and performed sexual act on him.

The persecutor further said that the girl carried her mother to the house of the accused when she discovered she was feeling much pain in her private part.

Ihiehie said that the offences contravened Sections 144 (1), 261 and 137 of the Criminal Laws of Lagos State, 2015 (Revised)

The accused, however, pleaded not guilty to the charge.

Mrs. O. Sule-Amzat, the Magistrate, offered bail to the accused with the sum of N500,000 with two sureties having the same amount and commanded that the sureties must be his close relation.

She commanded that the sureties must be Lagos base and one of the sureties must have a landed property in Lagos state.

Amzat also commanded that both sureties must be employed and their status and addresses must be verified while they should show evidence of payment of rent and other utility bills.

The case was suspended until Dec. 12 for further hearing.

Teodoro Obiang Nguema Mbasogo (born 5 June 1942) is an Equatoguinean politician who has been President of Equatorial Guinea since 1979. Omar Hassan Ahmad al-Bashir (Arabic: عمر حسن أحمد البشير‎‎; pronunciation: [ba'ʃiːr]; born 1 January 1944) is a Sudanese politician, the seventh president of Sudan and head of the National Congress Party. He came to power in 1989 when, as a brigadier in the Sudanese Army, he led a group of officers in a military coup that ousted the democratically elected government of prime minister Sadiq al-Mahdi after it began negotiations with rebels in the south.


Since then, he has been elected three times as President in elections that have been under scrutiny for corruption. In March 2009, al-Bashir became the first sitting president to be indicted by the International Criminal Court (ICC), for allegedly directing a campaign of mass killing, rape, and pillage against civilians in Darfur.

Following the take over of Robert Mugabe's government by the military in Zimbabwean on Wednesday, many Zimbabweans have expressed happiness over the development, even as they still attest that they can't tell what the future may bring for them.



93-year-old Robert Mugabe as the President of Zimbabwe has long ruled the people since 1980 after Independence and many Zimbabweans are seriously hoping that it comes to an end following the current development.

“We are happy with what has been done,” Keresenzia Moyo, 65, a housewife told AFP after visiting a hospital in the capital.

“We needed change. Our situation has been pathetic. The economy has been in the doldrums for a very long time.

“What is good is that this has happened at the top and it is not affecting us people on the ground. People could be killing each other.”

The 65-year-old woman said she doesn't mind if Mugabe is allowed to go on exile despite his height of impunity of corruption, election vote-rigging, and other brutal occurrence challenging human rights.

Robert Mugabe who is currently under house arrest led the country to independence.

The country which was known as African farm for food product has been overturned since this rule.

“What we want is for our children to be able to get jobs and live a normal happy life,” Moyo said.

“We want to have food on the table, not one side having everything and others dying of hunger. Mugabe was once a good person but he lost it. Now we need a fresh start.”

‘We need some kind of direction’

The military has argued and denied that it is not a coup, explaining that Mugabe is still president.

“We don’t know what this all means and we don’t know what to do,” Karen Mvelani, 21, a student, told AFP.

“We need some kind of direction on where we are heading.”

The take over of government only interrupted Harare while other regions continue their daily activities.

Zimbabweans have blamed Robert Mugabe for shortage and quick rising prices and economic crisis.

“He was a liability to the country because he was focusing on his leadership, he was a dictator,” said Tafadzwa Masango, a 35-year-old unemployed man.

“Our economic situation has deteriorated every day — no employment, no jobs,” he said. “We hope for a better Zimbabwe after the Mugabe era.

“We feel very happy. It is now his time to go.”

Robert Mugabe removed his vice president, Emmerson Mnangagwa last week, which is expected to have instigated the intervention of the military as Mugabe's wife Grace Mugabe is stepping to be the next president.

Precious Shumba, director of Harare Residents Trust action group, said Zimbabwe was entering “a new phrase”.

“Now at least we break with the past,” she said. “My wish is that they immediately announce a transitional government and state clearly when the country will have the next elections.

“We need a transitional government to rid the country of the toxic politics of patronage, corruption and nepotism.”

A Ghanaian evangelist and a gospel musician, Diano Asamaoh, has strongly prophesied that top rapper, Sarkodie will later become a minister. She further said that Ghanaian should not be surprise when that happens.

Zimbabwe's first lady, Grace Mugabe’s son, Russell Goreraza and his estranged wife Gladys Chiedza Goreraza (nee Chiwaya) have agreed to formally terminate their seven-year marriage at the High Court on Thursday, according to Newsday.



Russell is Grace’s son from her first marriage to Stanley Goreraza.

Court papers disclosed that both parties have consented to the divorce which comes almost two years after Russell approached the High Court seeking a divorce order.

In his declaration, Goreraza said he got married to Gladys on December 11, 2010 and their marriage was blessed with one child namely Taponeswa Aurelio born on February 15, 2013.

Their marriage, according to the attached marriage certificate number 20/2010, was solemnised by Catholic Church Archdiocese of Harare’s Father Fidelis Mukonori.

Goreraza claims he and Gladys had irreconcilable differences and were incompatible with each other to the extent that they have not lived as husband and wife for the past two years.

“The marriage between the parties has irretrievably broken down to the extent that there are no prospects of restoration of a normal marriage relationship, more particularly in that there is no longer any love and affection between the parties and communication between plaintiff (Goreraza) and defendant (Gladys) has completely broken down,” Goreraza said in his summons.

After receiving the summons Gladys through her lawyer Donald Sibanda of Sibanda and Partners entered an appearance to defend notice in December last year and on March 23 this year the woman signed consent papers bringing to an end the couple’s holy matrimony.

“The defendant, hereby, agrees that it is not her intention to oppose the plaintiff’s claim for a final decree of divorce with the terms and conditions set out herein being incorporated into any final order which this honourable court may grant,” Gladys said in the consent document.

“The plaintiff and the defendant shall retain the property presently in their respective possession as his or her sole property and neither party shall have any claim whatsoever against the other in respect of any matters arising from the marriage.”

Goreraza also undertook to support his child by paying $500 per month as maintenance and also being responsible for the child’s school fees, medical aid, while the custody of the minor would remain with Gladys. The termination of the relationship came a year after President Robert Mugabe expressed concern over the high rate of divorce in the country.

A 26-year-old man supposedly killed the mother of his one-month-old baby boy for refusing him sex in Midrand, South Africa



The man, said to be originally from the Eastern Cape, allegedly stabbed his 23-year-old girlfriend, Isabella Dease repeatedly, leaving her body in an open veld in President Park outside Ivory Park, Midrand.

The horrific murder happened on Saturday, 14 days before the start of the 16 Days of Activism for No Violence Against Women and Children campaign.

Charles Dease, the grieving father Isabella (inset) said he wishes a death sentence could be imposed on the man who killed his daughter.

"He deserves a death sentence. It was painful nd traumatic when I saw the bloodied body of my girl."

He said his daughter had been stabbed several times in the neck, but a police source said her throat had been slit with a kitchen knife.

According to police sources, the man made two statements to the police, in one of the statements confessing to killing his girlfriend.

A source said the man had called the police to report that his girlfriend had been killed by two unknown men driving in a black BMW sedan.

"He said to the police that he left the house with his girlfriend to buy baby clothes in Midrand. He claimed they were accosted by a black BMW with two occupants.

"He said the passenger started to have a conversation with the girlfriend and it appeared the passenger and the mother of his child were acquaintances."

The source said the man claimed the two men made a U-turn near Grand Central Airport and took them to a secluded area where he was pointed at with a firearm while the occupant dragged his girlfriend out of the car and stabbed her to death.

However, further investigation revealed the statement made to the police was false.

Another source said after hours of interrogation, the man confessed to killing his girlfriend for refusing to have sex with him since she was breastfeeding the infant.

"He confessed and he later showed the police a knife he used to kill her and also his blood-stained clothes. After killing her he rushed to Ivory Park where he changed his black shoes and wore brown ones. We are also trying to find two missing phones of the woman."

Dease described his daughter as a calm person, very quiet and introverted. He said his daughter studied tourism at Ekurhuleni West College, adding that the family would take care of her child.

On Sunday, family and community members gathered in a corrugated shack to offer prayers. Several family members frantically fought back tears.

Midrand police spokesman Warrant Officer Mmakgomo Semono confirmed a man had been arrested and charged with the murder of his girlfriend.

"The man had earlier given police different stories as to what happened. He will appear in the Wynberg Magistrate's Court today."

According to the family, Dease is expected to be buried at GaMatlala village in Limpopo on Saturday.

A Liberation war hero was assassinated by unknown gunmen who were supposedly employed by his second wife in South Africa, according to his family.



The brother of the deceased, Cde Believe Gaule, a Zanu-PF member from Matabeleland North province explained that his brother, Leader Gaule Ncube who was put to rest last Saturday at West Park cemetery in Bulawayo, was attacked by assassinators at his dwelling place in Johannesburg.

Following the allegation, his second wife, a Zimbabwean was unable to be contacted by Newsmen for comment, however, Cde Gaule said she is presently in police custody in South Africa.

The late war veteran was pronounced a liberation war hero last week Friday and was put to rest the following day.

Cde Gaule said that gunmen invaded his brother's house with two cars on Sunday.

“What happened is that there was a lady who was his second wife .This woman organised a gang and went to his house in two cars and they attacked him, demanding cash. After that, he then called for help from his neighbours who came and tried to block the two cars using stones. One of the cars managed to break through, hit him in the process and dragged him for about twenty metres, leading to his death,” said Cde Gaule.

“The other car failed to get away and upon investigating, the wife was in the car and people handed her to the police.”

He said the family was filled with sorrow following his death.

“This is a heavy blow to the family. We were very saddened by the circumstances of his death. We hope that justice will take its course and she gets the punishment she deserves,” said Cde Gaule

The War hero survived with two wives with three children and his second wife failed to give him a child. The first wife and children base in Zimbabwe.

Cde Gaule said his brother, Alfred Nyambi was born in 1961 at Mpilo Central Hospital, Bulawayo.

He served in the Zimbabwe National Army before he retired in 1985.

Alfred then went to live in South Africa in 1986.

“He did his primary education at Bayana primary school in Tsholotsho. When he finished his grade seven he crossed to Zambia in 1977 where he did his military training. He then went to further his training in Yugoslavia where he did police and military training. He was later integrated into the Zimbabwe National army before leaving for South Africa where he ventured into the construction industry,” he said.

A ex-course Rep, Anosike Michael, at the Department of Financial Management Technology, Federal University of Technology, Owerri, Imo State, has lost his life after being shot last night on a street.


Reports revealed that Anosike was shot behind his left leg by an unknown gunman and he died after enormous waste of blood without anyone to rush him to the hospital.

Nigeria's president, Muhammadu Buhari on Friday in Abuja gave assurance to religious leaders and every Nigerian, that his government will tackle the increasing issue of corruption, injustices and insecurity in Nigeria as a whole.

Buhari made the expression when he received a Christian delegation led by the President of Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Rev. Samson Olasupo Ayokunle and a Muslim delegation led by the Secretary General of Jama’atu Nasril Islam (JNI), Dr. Khalid Abubakar Aliyu, in separate meetings at the State House.

“On the question of one-sided appointments, we will look at it. I have given instructions that a list of all heads of parastatals be submitted to me and I know they will not delay in doing that,” he said.

“There is no way we can be comfortable in our country unless we are lucky to have a good police force and judiciary.

“We need a good police force and judiciary to really maintain the legitimacy and the confidence of the populace in governance,’’ the President added.

Buhari explained that corruption has deepen in the hearts of Nigerians and it has become a culture.

“When something becomes a culture, it is more difficult to stop, but collectively we will prevail,’’ he assured the leaders.

In a broad-day light on Friday, Armed robbers carried out robbery action at a market in Lagos and went away with phones and other valuables while some soldiers positioned at the roundabout close to the scene refused to intervene, traders cries out.

The armed robbers who invaded Iyana-Iba market in Ojo Local Government Area of Lagos, went away with phones and other valuables of roadside traders.

An eyewitness said the the robbers shot to the air and chase away traders then carried out the operation.

Reports revealed that the armed robbers angrily beat traders who played stubborn in releasing their goods.

The robbers showed up from Igando axis and started shooting to the air.

“We noticed everybody was running and I ran too. The thief passed by, kicked at the glasses and took away the phones,” one of the traders told a Premium Times correspondent who happened to be at the scene of the incident at the material time.

Minister, Kayode Fayemi, has revealed that the Ministry of Mines and Steel Development (MMSD) has used to up N700m to enhance an Integrated Automation and Interactive GIS Web Portal to improve ‘Ease-of-Doing-Business’ in the mining sector.



The minister made this known yesterday at the launch of the portal in Abuja.

Fayemi said: “the portal is a cutting edge initiative that leveraged technology for the innovation, efficiency and effectiveness in the mineral sector governance.”

“The overall objective of the project is to increase provision of reliable information and knowledge, to enhance promotion of investments in the sector, using the technology-driven innovation and to increase the sector’s GDP.

“The portal was designed for mining investors to perform business processes such as online mining licences and mineral titles applications, online payment of royalties and fees, database for revenue drive and to block revenue leakages.

“The portal is credible and provides timely information about the mining sector, performs and responds to online queries, business intelligence/analytics, reports and statistical data generation.

“Mining investors could view all existing mining titles and track them anywhere in the world through the portal, access all agencies information, global mining news, live chat and document library, among others.

“Lists of mining operators with valid licences and related minerals trade on private mineral buying centre and renewal of private mineral buying centres could also be accessed through the portal.”

He further explained: “the portal is designed to serve as an input and decision support system to other entities of government MDAs.”

“We have spent about N700 million to develop this Integrated Automation and Interactive Geo Information Systems (GIS) Web Portal to improve ‘Ease-of-Doing-Business’ in the mining sector.

“This event is coming at a very auspicious time, on a broad scale; dividends of this administration’s commitment to turning around our economic fortunes,’’ he said.

Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN), Festus Keyamo has stated that Idris Okuneye, a.k.a Bobrisky can not be thrown into prison for confessing that he is a gay without being caught in the act.



Bobrisky was arrested earlier this week just a day after he made known to the world through his Instagram page that 'he is a gay'. However, when contacted, Bobrisky said he was apprehended by the police on the order of a female entrepreneur, Toyin Lawani because she alleged that Bobrisky stole her cream customers.

Speaking to the newsmen following the apprehension, Keyamo said that before Bobrisky can go to jail, he has to be caught on action. “For me, you have to be caught in the act,” he said.

“Yes, it may amount to corrupting public moral when you go on social media to announce you are gay but we are talking about the law here and not sentiment and if we are talking about the law, the person has to be caught in the act.”

“Except the person says he is gay and refers to a particular gay act that can be verified. For example, if Mr. A comes out on social media to say I am a thief, he cannot be arrested because his declaration that he is a thief cannot be linked to a particular act of stealing.”

“Anybody can come out to say I am a kidnapper but if you do not link that declaration to a particular incident that happened, that person cannot be arrested.”

“So also, if a person comes out to say I am gay and you can’t link it to a particular gay act that actually happened or that he was caught in the act, I think it is wrong for such a person to be arrested.”

“You can only be arrested when you consent to the act that can be verified. He can be arrested for saying that he is gay but it must be linked to a gay act that happened. You cannot be arrested for just saying you are gay,” Keyamo said.

The Acting Commissioner of Police Lagos State, Mr Edgal Imohimi, has stated that he is not informed about the apprehension of the Nigeria's male barbie, Idris Okuneye, widely known as Bobrisky.



The issue trending is everywhere and is making headlines on several news site after his arrest on Tuesday.

When Vanguard communicated with the acting Commissioner, he said; Ask him who arrested him, we or to say I don’t know about the arrest, and the command did not arrest him and more so he has no problem with us.”

Mrs Dolapo Badmos, Zone 2 Command Police Public Relations Officer also said she was not informed about the arrest, explaining that maybe the police didn't make the arrest as supposed on the social media.

This arrest came after the male barbie admitted on his Instagram page, saying “Yes (I’m) gay” which he deleted after a while.

A 26-year-old lady, Jade Robinson, from Tyne and Wear in the UK, has shared her shock as she discovered that her dog's ear shows exactly the picture of US president Donald Trump's face. The hilarious photo shared on Facebook has gone viral.



In an interview, she explained that she had a close look at the photo before he could picture out Trump's face.

She said: "I looked at the photo over 20 times zooming in and everything and never seen it at all. It took me showing his ear to my friend the next day, who saw it straight away."

Jade's dog's name is Chief and the dog had a cyst in his ear and she actually took photo of it so that the vet could see it.

She said: "There’s a lot of negativity on the internet and to me it’s the little things that make me smile and it’s nice to know Chief has made people smile – even if it’s his ear."

Following that event that played out at the church where a gunman, Devin Patrick Kelley invaded a Texas Baptist church and opened fire on the church members, a defensive mother, Joann Ward quickly moved to secure her children.



The mother pushed her 9-year-old daughter Rihanna to the floor and positioned in front of her three other children.

Sadly, Joann and her 5-year-old daughter, Emily were hit by the bullet and lost their lives at the spot while her other daughter gave up her ghost at the hospital. Joann's son was hit by the bulllet many times, but is still alive in hospital.

Joann's husband, Chris, wasn't present at the time the event played out in the First Baptist Church in Sutherland Springs that Sunday morning because he just returned from work on a night shift.

Joann, uncle, John Alexander has created a GoFundMe page in order to assist the surviving family in their deepest troubles.

Surprisingly, more than 300 people have given more than $19,000 (£14,449).

John writes: "Joann was the most wonderful mom any child could wish for and her children were always laughing and loving life.

"I can imagine the costs burden on her surviving husband and family. Any contribution you can make will go directly to help with funeral costs, medical costs and other losses due to this horrific tragedy."

26 Nigerian women were found dead and Italian prosecutors are investigating what led to their death as they suspected that they may have been sexually abused and killed while trying to cross the Mediterranean sea. It is reported that the woman are dominated with teenagers.



Following the event that played out, 5 migrants have been interrogated in the southern port of Salerno. In large rescues, a Spanish warship, Cantabria, carried 375 migrants and the deceased women.

23 of the deceased women were together with 64 other people. the Deceased who were aged from 14-18 were deposited in a refrigerated section of the warship, Italian media report.

Most of those rescued carried to Salerno were sub-Sahara Africans from Senegal, Nigeria, Ghana, Sudan and Gambia, according to daily La Repubblica.

The survivors were counted of 90 women which 8 of them are pregnant and others are numbered 52 children.

Special Assistant to the President on Foreign Affairs and the Diaspora Mrs Abike Dabiri said “it is tragic, unfortunate and heartbreaking”.

She said: “We need to step up sensitization and awareness on the dangers of such method of migration.

“The boats being used are now smaller and more dangerous and the people on the other end are not so eager to safe them anymore.

“Don’t forget also, that they pay as much as $4,000 to go on such trips.

“Even if they survive, they only end up as slaves wherever they end up.

“The President Muhammadu Buhari Administration has been working with IOM to bring back volutary returnees.

“About 5,000 were brought back in the last six months, full of regrets and tales of woe that they wished they were never deceived into such trips.

“I condoles with the families of the victims and appeal to our your to stop being victims. It is not worth it, either in the short or long term.”

The controversies going deep on the issue of tithe, the General Overseer of The Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye while addressing the issue of tithe yesterday advised Christians, mostly his members on the dangers that follows the failure to pay tithe.



The pastor in a sermon titled: Breaking Forth during a special prayer programme for Fathers, Intending Fathers and their families, held at the national headquarters of the church, Throne of Grace Parish in Ebute-Meta, Lagos, he said the congregation to avoid divine curse like plague by following his God's standard and also paying their tithe.

Talking on the secrets of breaking forth, Pastor Adeboye took time to react to controversial OAP, Daddy freeze who argues that no Nigerian Prophet, pastor, or General Overseer is qualified to collect tithes.

Freeze further said that Tithe is suppose to be eaten with our families in the house of God, that it is biblical to use your tithe and purchase beer and take them inside the house of God.

In reaction to Daddy Freeze, Adeboye said, ‘even mad people will not come to church to drink alcohol’.

Here's what the G.O said;

“Avoid divine curse like a plaque, somebody show me something on the internet on the question of paying tithe or not and the fellow said tithe is suppose to be used to buy alcohol and drink in the church.

“Now you know who is talking, even mad people will not come to church to drink alcohol, no matter how crazy that fellow is, asked him to come to church and drink beer, he will tell you that he is not that crazy, because even in his madness, he knows that it is the house of God and he will refuse to do such thing. But this fellow said otherwise that tithe ought to be used to drink alcohol.

“I know who is talking and I did not want to worry myself about such person. But please do not let anybody get you into trouble by attracting God’s curse to yourself, please pay your tithe.”

“I have said it before and I will say it again and again, if your physical father curse you, it can be cancel by your spiritual father, if your spiritual father curse you it can be cancel by the general overseer, if your general overseer curse you, you can fast and pray to your father in heaven but it God curses you, where will you go, he asked.
