The Ogun State Police Command have detained a 29-year-old man named Kunle Abati for allegedly forcing carnal knowledge of a 27-year-old woman with down syndrome (name withheld).

The suspect, Kunle Abati, was arrested on the 7th of December 2022, following the report lodged at Ilese ijebu divisional headquarters by the mother of the victim, who reported that she sent her daughter on an errand at about 7:30 am, but when she returned, she discovered blood stain on her cloth.

On Thursday, December 8, 2022, there was outrage after beneficiaries of the federal government’s presidential Amnesty scholarship program were thrown out of their exam halls at Baze University Abuja.

According to WITHIN NIGERIA, Baze University is a private university owned by Yusuf Datti Baba-Ahmed, the Vice Presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP).

It was learned that the students were all set to write an exam on the course ‘Digital Entrepreneurship Gen 201’ when 185 of them were asked to leave the institution’s multipurpose hall because they would not be allowed to sit for the exam due to unpaid fees.

Lai Mohammed, Nigeria’s Minister of Information and Culture, has claimed that funds worth N120 billion recovered through the Proceeds of Crime (Recovery and Management) Law (POCA) 2022 is being used to build expressways and bridges by the Buhari-led administration.

The minister revealed this during the eight edition of President Muhammadu Buhari administration scorecard in Abuja, on Wednesday.

In May, Buhari signed the Proceeds of Crime (Recovery and Management) Bill, Money Laundering (Prevention and Prohibition) Bill, 2022 and the Terrorism (Prevention and Prohibition) Bill into law to improve the country’s anti-money laundering and counter-terrorist financing framework.

Two teenagers in North Korea have been killed by a firing squad for watching and selling movies from neighbouring South Korea.

North Korea has executed two high school students for watching and widely distributing South Korean drama shows among their friends, a report said. Viewing and distributing K-dramas is in conflict with the country’s law.

The teenagers were executed for watching and distributing South Korean movies in a rare display of punishment in the Kim Jong Un regime, reported Radio Free Asia, citing two sources who witnessed it.
