With Afrobeats on an international ascension, Nigerian superstars are increasingly selling out shows in choice venues while also appearing in blockbuster movies alongside their Western counterparts.

Afrobeats stars Omah Lay and Ayra Starr have both appeared on the deluxe version of Marvel's 'Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse' album soundtrack produced by American record producer Metro Booming.

Omah Lay appears on 'I Can't Stop' alongside Big Boss Vette while Ayra Starr appears on 'Take It To The Top' alongside Becky G.

They join Wizkid who appears on 'Link Up' alongside Don Toliver, Beam, and Toian.


Other artists on the soundtrack include Swae Lee who alongside Post Malone made the soundtrack for the first installment of the movie.

Rappers Nas, Lil Wayne, 2 Chainz, 21 Savage, A$AP Rocky, JID, A Boogie With Da Hoodie, Lil Uzi Vert, and others were also announced as part of the soundtrack.

The second installment of 'Spider-Verse' comes after the prequel 'Into the Spider-Verse' released in 2018 grossing over $380 million.

Popular Nigerian singer, David Adeleke better known as Davido has taken to social media where he takes a swipe at his colleagues who barely post online.

Taking to his verified Twitter handle today, June 5th 2023, Davido, the “Unavailable” hitmaker berates artistes with the common saying “I no dey post.”

Recall some weeks ago, Davido who is the most followed artiste in Africa bragged about having more followers than Wizkid, Burna boy , Olamide, and others because he knows how to use social media more than them adding that he loves Tech while he was much younger.


However, over the years Davido has been criticized by trolls for always promoting his songs, engaging in streaming farms, and buying of YouTube views among others.

Reacting to this today, Davido doesn’t debunk the allegations that have been levelled against him as he noted that he will do anything to make sure his songs are widely accepted.

Recall few weeks after he fully return online, Davido confirms that he is now officially married to Chioma as the bride price has been paid in Imo- State.

The couple first encountered each other while attending Babcock University, where Davido pursued a degree in music, while Chioma studied Economics.

In a captivating documentary alongside YouTuber and vlogger Tayo Aina, Davido granted his fans a glimpse into his daily life.


Spanning 43 minutes, the video delves into the singer’s hectic schedule, characterized by constant travel, brief respites, and relaxation aboard private jets soaring thousands of feet above sea level.

Within the captivating documentary, Davido manages to bask in the affection he harbors for his beloved wife, Chioma, recounting the story of their initial encounter and how he attempted to strike up a conversation with her during their first year at university.

In his words; “I was in school for a year before I blew up. That was when I met my wife. I remember the day I saw her. I can never forget. I was in a Prado, and I looked behind, and I saw this girl walking. Just there with her bag, it was Chioma. I told Lati (Davido’s personal assistant), ‘Omo, I like that girl. Go and call that girl for me.”

However, initial attempts to establish contact were met with silence, as Chioma did not respond at the time.

Nonetheless, fate intervened, and Chioma eventually made her way to Lagos, where the two reconnected.


Davido reminisced, saying,

“Later on, she came to Lagos, and we linked up. And I was like, ‘Yeah, I got you.”
