Hello House,

Need some of your input - after 2 refusals and 1 withdrawal on my study permit application, I would like to reapply for the september 2017 intake.

Profile - A' Levels - UK
- BSc Acct and Finance - UK - 3yrs - First Class
- ACCA Affiliate - Completed all the exams.
- No professional Work experience (excluding Internships and temporary placements)

Last Application was for Post graduate Diploma in Fiinancial Management Diploma, applied from the UK and refused within 5 working days of submission...didnt include my ACCA qualification at this point because I was still sitting exams.

Reappled a month after with the same course and adding my ACCA certificate this time after arriving in Nigeria. Hence, applied from Canada using my Agent - online route but filled Lagos application forms and did biometrics in Lagos. Withdrew application after 12 weeks of waiting.

Reasons for refusal - Purpose of Visit
- Family ties in the UK and Canada
- Travel history
- Imigration status in the UK.

Visited a few Immigration offices here in Lagos and they are all saying similar reasons - got refused because i applied from the UK, I havent been in Nigeria for long, my ACCA doesnt affect my application because its a professional qualification and not a degree, blah blah...

Apologies for the long post.

Only reasonable replies PLEASE.

Suggestions on how to address this refusals and any added documents or letters that would be needed aside from CIC checklist.

New course for September 2017 - Project Management Diploma
- University of Winnipeg
- Full Tuition Fee paid
- Admission letter Obtained.

Thanks for your help guys.

Hello house,

Just for clarity. What happens when you defer an application from January to September 2017, having made a visa application since September prior year which is still being processed. Does the embassy automatically request a new admission letter or only needed for point of entry into canada? And also, when does the visa start counting from. Surely if is issued from let say February, it can't start count from February all the way to September even before course start date.

Thanks.

Hello everyone.,

I applied using an agent in Canada, however I came to Nigeria last month to do my biometrics. How will I know when I have been called for medical as I didn't apply myself or used my email.

Thanks.

Folaroyal:

What I have noticed is that your correspondence letter carries only your program end date plus 90 days!
Meaning commence date will be from the time you appear at PoE. However, your study start date is still the determinant..... So in any case, you'll still be required to provide a new letter if the original one expires before you get approval.
Is there such institution that will not agree to defer on the condition that your visa is being considered for approval for a later date?..... That's wicked!

University of winnipeg PGD start date jan 2017, next intake jan 2018 no deferral. Submitted application November 4 in Nigeria after prior refusal in October in the UK.
