Trailer was shot so perfectly not to give away anything. Except of course snow riding a dragon; no clues whatsoever on what will happen, who will die, who will reign. These people will not make heave aswear. 6 Likes |

Manuel69: You don't get it do you? You are comparing two unfortunate scenarios. Let me ask you some questions; how much does a fresh graduate employed in banks earn? 180k - 250k. And b4 you ask how many people get the job, with a 2'1, you are sure to be invited for a screening test in any bank that is recruiting and trust me, the lot I know employ fresh graduates at least twice a year. With a good degree, you are sure to be shortlisted for as much interviews as possible. The rest is now left on your personal capacity and how well you can sell yourself. It's not ghosts that work with blue chip companies in this country. If you decide to be competing with the N-powers, that's quite unfortunate. You can advise him to enroll into airforce and start earning 64k per month. After 5yrs, when his mates are thru with school and service, he will be an air corporal earning 74k per month while his mates that are now graduates will enroll as commissioned lieutenants with nothing less than 180k per month. At the peak of his career, after over 25yrs of service, he will be a warrant officer earning a little over 100k with 4 children to cater for while his mates are mostly in their senior managerial role, majors and captains earning nothing less than 1mil per month. The land is fallow and fertile, you can chose to be a mediocre and end up jelousing your peeps forever. 9 Likes 2 Shares |

I see a lot of peeps advising you to chose being an airman than getting an adequate education. After serving 25yrs as an airforce recruit, a newly commissioned officer with a degree certificate will still rank above you. I don't know why people have this primitive mentality of grabbing anything that comes their way because the cowards are afraid of tomorrow. If you are above 23yrs, you can enroll into the airforce, if not, enroll into the school and get educated. Education is not just about getting work; it sets you up and equips you for the life journey ahead. Just know that if you enroll into airforce now, their is a limit to what you can achieve in the future. your promotion is capped at a certain limit. With an adequate education, you can soar higher than what you are dreaming of right now. Don't be myopic. 117 Likes 11 Shares |
Nairaland / General / Re: If You Ever Did This It Means life dealt you a bad hand. by MaziOmenuko: 6:56pm On Mar 16, 2019 |
Boarding school, early-mid nineties. I had this panchant of not being able to play football barefooted so I always wear them slippers. As a boarder, all scrap change must be conserved for other important expense so spending it on a cobbler was a no-no. Funny enough, I carried same attitude to high institution. Can't forget my first semester when my course mate (a babe) happened to see my slippers with safety pin underneath. She laughed at me so hard and I became a topic and illustration of poverty to her. I just avoided the bi'tch like a plague. It was just a matter of time b4 she realized her folly. 13 Likes 5 Shares |

Politics / Re: Imo State Election Result [% Of Votes Scored By Candidates In Various Lga's] by MaziOmenuko: 7:50pm On Mar 13, 2019 |
MadamExcellency: Ma, Kindly post the right result if you are privy to such. I'm a bit worried that as at now, we are yet to get credible facts as to the true situation of things. Note that Uche Nwosu has complained of the same mishap and I believe he is basing his complaints based on this same result sheet that BBC has. Like I said earlier, legality cannot stand on illegality. If the returning officer declared a winner out of ignorance, INEC should have called him to other immediately. The silence is looking suspicious. Who benefits if this illegality stands? Who will preside over Imo when the court grants Uche and Ararume their pleas and instruct INEC to do a re-run becuase, trust me, no sensible Judge will let this stand. 1 Like |

singa4real: What sort of voodoo mathematics is this? The OP asked a valid question which I have been asking too; but apparently, people are becoming more sentimental than being objective. Personally, Rochas and co are a disgrace; but you cannot build legality on illegality. The constitution is clear, and Ihedioha did not get the required spread. Most likely, Uche will get a court injunction to stop Ihedioha from getting sworn in and nobody sits at Douglas house until the case is resolved. INEC had better include Imo in the rerun so APC do not take over administrative duties in the state during the trial/rerun period. No sane judge will overlook this rape on our constitution. Hilary Clinton got the highest number of votes in the last US election but Trump won more electoral college votes and the rest is history. Let us not set bad precedence because you don't know who will misuse it tomorrow. 4 Likes |

There are no people from 'umuahia', although some will tell you that they are from Umuahia because their real tribe falls into the Umuahia geographical location. The people are those from umuopara, ibeku, olokoro and parts of umudike. |

LordNapoleon: I may not be right, but I believe strongly that Obowo and Ihitte Uboma are of the same clan as Mbaise. Proximity is the number one fact I base my submission on, coupled with the fact that they share a lot in common. As per the Ngwa and Mbaise root, the only thing that relates to them strongly is their longevity of life. The two clans are blessed with grace of old age (I believe that is why the duo arguably have the highest population in Igbo land). They have other negative traits too that they share which, due to the make-up of this forum, I will not be discussing. 2 Likes |

kodded: Naa, inasmuch as we are being optimistic, we are also realists. These results we are getting are sure unreal. Nobody gets this lucky all the time; the law of averages comes to play with time. Our results since Ole took over are far from unreal, they are actually an overkill judging from where we were coming from. No new signings and we are having these records. What options do we have apart from Ole? Porchettino? Zidane? Molde has to mould a new coach. If we let Ole go, Madrid might as well snatch him up. With these results he has, he's definitely not going back to Norway. |

With these spurs results of late, the Porchettino to United option is dieing a natural death. Now top 4 seems easy for us. A win against gunners 2mrw and we can as well give Ole a blank paper to write his own contract terms and pay. 6 Likes 1 Share |

ikorodureporta: That is the biggest challenge manufacturing companies face in Nigeria - Raw Material! By the time you are done importing raw material, the finished good will be more expensive than the imported material hence retailers will still prefer to import and sell at a higher profit margin than buy from you the producer. 1 Like |
Education / Re: What Do You Regret Not Doing In Your University/School Days? by MaziOmenuko: 7:28pm On Mar 01, 2019 |
Nothing really, had my fun and balanced it with academics too. Started living off camp from the word 'go' so I drank the way I liked, studied how I understood, partied the way I wanted, smoked weed for the first time in my life and got so high that I almost touched the skies (true story). I am so proud of my school days. It makes me more focused in being an adult right now. Nothing really distracts me now: women? Party? Fun? Love? Friends? Adventures? Challenges? Heartbreaks? Disappointments? I had them all and that keeps me at peace with my inner being now. Don't get holed up in that school and be working on your academics alone. Make friends, create indelible marks on people's minds. 46 Likes 5 Shares |
