First, know that it is very very expensive to change the date for an airline ticket. You don't even want to know how expensive it is.

Your best bet is for your wife to contact her school and explain her predicament. Hopefully, the school authorities will approve her resumption for 21 September or thereabout. She must be persistent and send an email - even if she spoke to someone on the phone who promises that all is well. Make sure she sends an email and requests for a response.

For others still awaiting their visas, please, please and please, always confirm last day of registration/resumption from your school before you buy your ticket. I know tickets are very expensive and you might want to target travelling in late September - when tickets might be cheaper. However, note that most schools resume in the second/third week of September and take on-site enrollment very serious. After all the trouble and money you have spent, don't give the devil a chance.

If the MA was meant to resume before 20th, did he/she request for resumption extension from the school?

As regards the flight, you can call their customer service number or better still if your in Lagos, go straight to their head office at VI to ask if they can reschedule which might attract a fee

Thanks so much for responding. Yes I've done my TB test and gotten the result. Concerning the maintenance fund, my blood-related uncle living in Germany is providing his bank statement as Proof of Funds, along with a Letter of Sponsorship stating that he will be covering my financial needs for the duration of my stay. Is that enough, or are we missing anything that might cause an issue?

Also please, the walk-in. Do you mean going in with the money required for a Flexi appointment, so I would be able to pay and have my biometrics there and then?
