I seems Morgan iTrade bid/offer table for some reason only shows bids at the highest bid price of 69.95 for Oando. This gives the impression that Oando is on a full perfect bid with nobody looking to buy it lower. I just placed a bid at 69.00. The bid was accepted but not shown on the table. I expect that if all bids are at 69.95 then my only bid of 69.00 should have been listed below those bids. Does this mean anything?

Rest of mind makes a lot of sense too, For years the, yield on cash was 0%, hence the need to take some risk. 5-6% yield today will definitely make you rethink.

At the end of the day, nobody knows tomorrow or what could happen, not even Buffet. Having cash on the side which brings in about 1/4 of Berkshire’s annual profit is not bad at all.

PEACE

He has stated before that Coca cola was no longer a "profitable" investment, but he has chosen not to sell because it would cause "chaos" because of the number of shares he owns directly/indirectly. Selling off 80-100% of one's holdings as a strategy is only easy when your capital is relatively negligible. At several billions and double digits percentage holdings of a company, even cross deals will be easily noticed.

We see these things when there fight for power in some of our companies here in NGX. His preaching have always been to buy the lows of undervalued stocks to increase holdings, not to sell off and come back when the coast is safer.

What a useful knowledge to add...

It is still better and smart to have a good personal retirement plan.

That's way to go... A good man lives inheritance to even his fourth generation...

You don't have to point your next generation as your retirement plan

Fundamental is different from valuation.

Having a duplex at Lekki phase 1 is a fundamentally sound real estate investment, but if the property is selling for N1 billion and generatng a rental income of N15 million per annum.

A value real estate investor will book profit.

Warren Buffett believed some of the stocks are highly overpriced, a crash will soon occur and he is safe having cash and earning 5% till the madness is over

💯

Fair one!
But I don't think someone who bought shares at $25 a few decades ago and still holds when valued at $600k would see 5% as satisfactory annual yield. With many 50-200 baggers, 5% won't be motivation to pile cash up. Moreover, many of the stocks that are giving us latecomers 1-4% dividends are probably returning 50% dividends on cost price for him. But that said, the rates on high yield savings or CD's are quite negotiable when your principal falls in certain brackets.

Well there's a way the extremely wealthy reason different from others...

That is a good ratio but then, the industry average P/E is 1.6x - 2.0x, so I doubt any more upward movement unless we are breaking the highest price to form a new high generally for the industry

I'm not telling anyone to buy VERITAS oooooo

I already told you to buy PRESTIGE yesterday at $0.51... PRESTIGE already gave almost 12% to all that entered at my call yesterday... It closed at 0.57

Exiting any of my recommendations is your choice to make...

I don't think this ucee mfb by UBA/United Capital is serious.
Which customer will open account with them when they keep deducting money from deposit, transfer and withdrawal.
Who does that in this age and time when even okay and Co will be giving you interest to deposit with them and not charge you for withdrawing or transfer.
They are not ready for serious banking.

They need to learn from VFD. MICROFINANCE BANK

VFD won't charge you for withdrawals... A good part of your transfers are free.. They are always giving good interests on your deposits

For people who own rental assets. Have you used alternative dispute resolution ADR at the courts (arbitration or Multidoor courts) that do not require the rigours of numerous adjournments in the regular court room to resolve issues with troublesome tenants and what role did the police play in it before the hearing at the courts.

What country pls?

The listing price will be determined by the last trading price on NASD. Using todays closing price of 6,200, NGX open price will be 310

The problem with all these is it takes time before they have price correction after NSE listing...

Tpower, vfd etc are examples...

But with my local eyes;
OS: almost the same
PE: equivalent or close
Dividend : Prestige is below half of VERITAs
EPS: prestige is also below half of VERITAs.
So it is normal for prestige price to be below half of VERITAs price grin.

VERITAs is 1.4 I think, half is 0.7, below half is 0.6+ grin

The bids will not be filled till listing on NGX mid September. Very solid company operating across all the value chain in the Oil & Gas industry, its a sure banker even at this high price. When it comes to NGX and the stock becomes cheaper and more affordable (20 times dilution) I see it returning 50%+ over a 12 month period, where the market will price it near Seplat in terms of Market Cap, at the moment that's a 60%upside. Now imagine over a 5 year period when gas production increases, they start producing PMS from their refinery and they acquire Shell Petroleum Development Company. Not to forget they paid N200 per share dividend and EPS was N247. Let him who hath hears, let him hear. Everyone should do their own research sha

I'm patiently waiting for Aradel in NGX
