Since you said the system is booting, that is definately a keyboard error.

What do you expect from a police force whose recuits don't even have a pri 6 certificate? Crazy abuse of power. The bastard should be shot in his neck too. Tit for tat. A new law should just be passed that and accidental discharge case should be treated with intentional discharge and see if this would not stop.

Computers / Re: An Estimate To Establish A Cyber Cafe by mikesleek(m): 9:02pm On Nov 10, 2009
In terms of connection, do you want to go through a vsat link or a wimax link? This is majorly dependent on your budget.
Computers / Re: Help My Computer Keep Beeping From Start Up by mikesleek(m): 8:49pm On Nov 10, 2009
If the system is beeping from start up and the system is booting then the challenge is with the keyboard. For a desktop user, disconnect the keyboard and see if it would work. For the laptop user, tap the keys on the keyboard till you are able to detectg the exact keys that are clogging the keyboard.

Iway have a good clientelle only the 4.5GB download cap on their dedicated is an issue. Wish you all the best in your search.

Computers / Re: Causes Of Network Bottleneck by mikesleek(m): 9:34pm On Nov 09, 2009
We have what is called Broadcast and collison domains in a network. |When you have so much broadcast in a particular domain, it can be likened to a hall where everybody is talking at the same time. That really can cause alot of difficulty in hearing. How can you relate that with the network?

it will only increase when you update your hardware - and thats just a maybe

that is 90% true. The WEI is determined by how eaisily your operating system can communicate with the particular hardware in question. That is the reason why i would agree with this also because an update may just increase the ease of communication. You may wish to view http://runitecomputer..com/2009/10/introduction-windows-experience-index.htm for more details
semid4lyfe:

Oyb, are u sure? The reason I ask is becos the original WEI that came with my lapy was 3.4 but after some time with constant updating of my windows, it went up to 3.5. I was surprised cos I thought it was a function of the hardware. Now, my WEI is back to 3.4 cos I used my recovery manager to reset my pc back to the factory setting and I updated it with the offline 'chunk' installers of vista service pack 1 and 2 and now it's service pack 2 but it still shows a 3.4 WEI as against when it wasn't even up to sp 1 and I had a WEI of 3.5.

guys, i just bought a new labtop.the problem is that i cant using all my micosoft packages.they always request for product key number.can somebody in the

house help me?

INTOM

If the laptop is new, then the office has not yet been activated. Normally it comes with license for about 90days trial befor you are requested to purchase another license. All you need to do is to go to programs, click on microsoft office, click of activation assistance (note that the pc should be online before you can do this). click on the link, a product key would be given to you from the portal. copy this key and paste it in the request box which pops up after you have open ms-word.

Sometimes you guys can't seem to stop surprising me. That the light went off during the match is no news, what would be considered news is that through out the duration of the games, light never went off for once. So NAIJA, carry on, it's a normal thing here.

everyday,i see these threads about fake/confirmed laptops

google it

you will find that while you can get fake/imitation laptops parts eg drive bays - you DO NOT have imitation laptops

just think of it from a car perspective - you can fake headlights etc, but you cannot make a fake car. it is simply not cost effective

as far as i am concerned there is no such thing as an 'unoriginal /delll/toshiba etal - thats just sellers trying to be smart - along with all this nonsense about 'china' laptops

get this ALL laptops are assembled in china/taiwan and maybe malaysia

just look under the laptop - they may be designed in us, /uk, but they are assembled in china.

Dont be too sure. There are fake laptops produced in china for Nigeria, under the requests of Nigerians. So many of them that HP do not have their s/n in their database.

@oge. Good questn.d reason 4 our vulnerability is due 2 'lack' of international cooperatn & regulation of laws.As we can c,cybercrimes r problems that r nt just peculiar 2 Nig alone, but d entire globe.that's y countries(Nig+Microsoft) nids 2 work 2gether in combating these crimes.ppl shud b aware of their rights & duties to report crime as a collectiv duty 2wards d society & further makin d application of d laws more stringent to check crime.

well, there can be no international corporation when there is no action by the people who are supposed to be assisted.

Normally i use zoom for my downloads and MTN for my regular browsing and they seem ok to me. Zoom has download speeds of about 70-100KBps unlike their visa phone counterpart struglling with 30-50KBps despite their Gold Silver and all that classification. Visa phone is whacked.

Go to www.dvlottery.state.gov. If anyone is having problem concerning the photo specification. Just follow the steps below using a photo editor (E.g Paint), it is normally on most computers I think

Process on how to use the paint photo editor.

Right click on the picture, then click EDIT. Then click on IMAGE at the top of the paint editor page, lastly click attributes and then type in the size of the picture you wanna use, The size for US VISA LOTTERY is (600 pixels by 600 pixels)

GO F**K YOURSELF ize4cash

Simple, go do it yourself. Its free.
Politics / Re: New Police Uniform Not For All - Onovo by mikesleek(m): 7:56am On Oct 24, 2009
Ournaija:

I think the IG knows that his men wouldn`t be able to maintain the new uniform as dirts is their second nature. We all know how far they have gone to maintain the black uniform that helps them to hide dirts. The new uniform could be very expensive for them to maintain. the IG should first re-orientate his men before introducing the new uniform to them.

Some of these men are good at wearing slippers and tattered jeans with torn bullet proof vest. I wonder how this new uniform will serve them any good.Sit near a junior police officer you may want to throw up. Will the junior officers be able to maintain the new uniform?

Maybe it`s in their own interest not to wear the new uniform. lipsrsealed

this is the exact point. The juniour police officers would turn the uniform into the kind of mess their barracks is into. Have you seen their barracks lately?

it really is not new. I visited a client of mine today who wants to invest a whooping 400,000 naira to solve the energy crises holding her business down. That is why things don't move forward, we are circle drawn.
