Your question sounds unclear.
Do you mind going deeper?
Religion / Re: The Middle Path by MizMyColi(f): 7:33am On Mar 25, 2018
I have just come across a quote that seems to literally pierce my heart.
Why that is, I do not know.
I am almost at the point of tears.

"I exist, not to be loved and admired, but to love and act. It is not theduty of those around me to love me. Rather, it is my duty to be concerned about the world, about man" - Janus Korczak

I cannot even bring myself to read it again because it resonates, so, so deeply.

This, to me, is the summation of existence. this is what it means to have truly lived.
Everything else is secondary.

Julius Agwu is not a tall person naturally.
I thought he would have diminished significantly with this guy.

what about the family of the girl? are you saying they haven't too? if she were your family member won't you give a loving, sincere and heartfelt prayer? of course we can't really KNOW but we can put ourselves in the shoes of the Christians around her and think about how we would've reacted and make a conclusion based on that

The girl's family is different.
They are one entity, they need an exogenus force to join hearts and minds with them.

We can put ourselves, but we didn't. So we are not in their shoes, so we can't really know.

That's why I said IF. If they have done that, it is all well and good as it is in the best hands possible, otherwise, they still can.

That was the essence of the word IF in my essence.

I believe most Christians in the northern part of Nigeria where the incident hits more close to home would've prayed and a good number of those prayers must've been done in a loving, sincere and heartfelt way.

it is a belief, we are both not sure.

Fair enough but I'm not pessimistic enough to think no Christian has prayed, made angelic invocations and decree on the girl's situation

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Studies_on_intercessory_prayer

Christians might have prayed, but I am not sure that it is a sincere, heartfelt prayer in LOVE.

I find this line of thought bizarre

This post assumes "A few" hasn't risen up in sincere prayers and wishes for the kidnapped girl and they haven't made "angelic invocations" for her sake. You think our Christians haven't done that and aren't doing that already? I may not have witnessed people doing this but it would be extreme level of pessimism to think it hasn't and it isn't happening

when we realise prayers never really does anything to us as a society and only appears to have worked due to placebo or our brain being influenced by confirmation bias, Then we'd rise up as a nation with the knowledge that no imaginary friend would do anything to help us, we are the ones to help ourselves out of any predicament. Nothing backs up the notion that prayers work, religious people face roughly the same rate of predicaments as everyone else. dies at roughly the same rate as those of other religions or irreligious

I totally disagree with OP and I think OP, while good intentioned, could only have come from someone who is ignorant of the Nigeria government but yours isn't much better either

Helloooo,

It is not about being religious. It is about applying something that I strongly believe works for me.
I am a strong proponent of the power of the mind.

I believe in the power of conscious thinking that produces desirable outcomes.

You are entitled to your opinion, nonetheless.

My guess is that he probably wasn't allowed to do something he really wanted to do, and that led to a change in his mood change, and ultimately, the cry.

This does not make sense, imo.

The FG will chop your money and clean mouth.

If just a few, just a few, rise up in sincere prayers and wishes for her, they will decree a thing concerning her and it shall come to pass.

They can make angelic invocations and the rest will be history.

Instead of giving this untrustworthy FG money, save it and let it be used to build her future.

The day I was robbed at dagger-point at Lawanson in BROAD daylight is one I will never forget in a hurry.

It became clear to me how much people have become desperate in recent times. It made me live in fear for a while.

I am not against good figures and media achievements.

I will take the government more serious when these begin to translate to better lives for the poorest of the poor in our country.

They way they peddle lies and falsehoods in this government makes me feel like nothing is real anymore as far as they are concerned.

Honestly, I think it does not make sense that the government fought to release all the girls and left just one of them behind.

It could be that her religion is the reason she was held back by the terrorists.

But if this was truly an all-inclusive government then they would have made it clear to Boko Haram that it is all or nothing.

Too many lies from the ruling party and media houses these days, one is not even sure what to believe anymore.

Please is there anyone that can help with recipes for cabbage that doesn't involve frying or cutting it for salad?

I'm tired of eating the thing that way. I could use some change in recipe.

This is a very straightforward and honest answer.

But he could have used better words like "We are exploring what it is like to be in partnership with each other, and I hope that it turns out better for both of us"

Have you tried transacting with them?

I tried using them and their policy is somehow. Their policy is that you must transfer fund from a card gotten in the same country as the currency you want to send money from. This implies that if you must send dollar, then your card must be issued from the US. This isn't so with payoneer as payoneer mastercard is issued from the UK. So payoneer guys can't use them.

At the end of the transaction you initiated, you will be told that your card isn't coming from the same country as your currency.

Okay.
i have used them. I prefer their service.

I posted for people who live in the same country and use that country's bank account.

But why not send pounds equivalent instead of dollars then?

They are also working on borderless banking without currency limitations, you might wanna keep tabs.

Hello,

I discovered this cool online service that allows you transfer foreign funds to your local Naija account.

It is way cheaper than cashremit, worldremit, transfast, cashfast, and co.

I am sharing the link because I am excited at the service and speed of delivery, and more so because I get some reward for those I refer....you also gain by transferring your first 500 dollars for free.

This people exchange 1 pound to naira @498 so imagine what others currencies rate will be like. Is there any other online service that beats that?! They have all the major currencies worldwide too!
