People should expect to read/see more of this, People receive no benefit from the Government either child or unemployment support that can still subsidize their daily means during this hardship period, Nigeria is fast becoming Zimbabwe, God help us.
Zim is better than Nigeria. Its has regular supply of electricity and decent water supply system and probably better transportation system as well. It does have its problems like any other African country, but it has not in anyway reached the level of lawlessness that is in Nigeria. You will never find headless bodies lying around in bushes after having their heads taken off for rituals or certain tribes waiting on the roadside to ambush traveller to steal and rape them and you will most certainly not find will not find cases of Zimbabwean being caught at airports worldwide with drugs stuck up their anus. smiley

Just apologize this time.
In the future, stay away from all those extended family meetings where all the uncles and aunties all over the world are required to be present.
Such meetings are rarely about you but become about you when they see you.
If your parents are in attendance, that's all.
I no dey for all these uncles and aunties matter abeg.
I hardly attend family gatherings i only atteneded this one because i felt like i had missed too many of them in the past and I do not want to appear as stuck up. I think I will just stop attending unless its a wedding or funeral.

Some Nigerian "elders" sef and their entitlement mentality.

Respect is earned. For your aunt to shoot off her mouth like a loose canon speaks volumes about her level of intelligence.

Where are your parents in all of this? They should have your back if you've levelled with them and explained the whole situation.

Who funded your undergraduate studies and who will be funding your post graduate studies? Your parents or this aunt of yours?
My parents have always taken care of me. Before i was born, she was even living with my parents before she got pregnant and ran off to live with her husband (who was just a boyfriend then)

whats there to NOT understand?! do you have English comprehension issues? person A needs info on relocation, especially to South Africa. person B gives him "wrong" information by saying that moving to SA will be better than Malaysia because Nigerians are discriminated upon in Malaysia. i therefore reminded person B that Nigerians are also discriminated upon in SA therefore his point (aka saying that SA was better than Malaysia) was invalid. if you understood ENGLISH, you would have gotten the fact that what i am saying is that Nigerian have just as much chance to succeed moving to Malaysia, SA or anywhere in this word, duh!!

sadly, you failed to understand the above and decided on quoting me to write gibberish saying that:
- 1) Nigerians are discriminated upon everywhere, taking Australia as an example, while i never said the contrary

- 2) you then asked if Nigerians should stop going to Australia because of that fact, but that is exactly what i was explaining to person B

- 3) and to top it all, you now mistakenly believe that i said that Nigerians are "only" discriminated upon in SA... think for a minute, i only used SA as an example because thats where person A wants to go AND it is the country that person B used to compare the discrimination of Nigerians/Africans in Malaysia with, therefore claiming that SA would be a better place.

it would have been very STOOPID of me, and most importantly INCOHERENT, if someone claimed that "SA is better than Malaysia because there is discrimination of Africans in Malaysia", and my response to that would be "there is discrimination of Nigerians in Australia and Asia too".
i strongly believe that you have difficulties understanding English, because i clearly wrote in my last post the following (important word being EVERYWHERE):

There is only one sensible thing that you said in that entire post and that is the "very stupid of me" part. If I lack comphrehension, then you lack common sense entirely.

MRBrownJ:

but then again, as soon as you open your mouth, dont they know you are Nigerians.....and are Nigerians not "viewed" as the criminals/drug dealers who are supposedly destroying SA? (its always easier to blame their shiiit on others)
so by drug trafficking in SA are Nigerian drug dealers not ruining South Africa? So who is to blame for Nigerians drug trafficking in SA then? undecided I do not blame you, you are a result of a failed education system, I cannot honestly expect you to reason like someone brought up in a civilised system. You can obviously take a person out of a village but you can never take the village mentality out of him.

sista... next time you decide to quote MBJ, i suggest you follow the discussion "fully", and understand the SUBJECT, so that you may understand my replies in that particular thread. let me help you... here is how it went:

1st, a poster asked for advices about emigrating abroad, especially in SA

2nd, a certain poster "claimed" that Nigerians will make more money in SA than Malaysia because "supposedly" Africans are discriminated upon in Malaysia

3rd, i MBJ simply reminded this poster that Nigerians are "also" discriminated upon in SA, and therefore his point about SA being better than Malaysia for Nigerians was weak/false... AKA Nigerians will have just as much chances to make it in Malaysia as they would in SA, because there is discrimination EVERYWHERE

which brought us to your reply, that you clearly made without properly UNDERSTANDING the discussion (or my reply). next time, i suggest you understand the debate before wrongly quoting others
wrongly quoted you how exactly? Yes it is mostly Nigerians that are behind drug trafficking in South Africa, just like they are in Asia and Australia. I still do not know why you want to act like Nigerians are only discriminated against in South Africa and nowhere else. In USA Nigerians are mostly associated with internet scams, credit card fraud and fraudulent marriages, in Europe is the same thing plus drug and human trafficking as well. So i have failed to see the point you were trying to make in the last couple of pages you posted on this thread.

Its interesting so many people liked this and no one could see the irony in the post.

Where did I mention sex in my post? Where did I mention lapdance? It shows the kind of mindset that the generality of you have. For your information a woman's powers of persuasion go beyond sex.

Let me reiterate the post for you and bring out the main points for you since u were probably too lazy to even read the write-up.

will you bribe your wife with gifts and surprises all your life just to get her to do something in the house?

MmmS, While I understand where you're coming from, you are wrong to have spoken to her the way you did. She might be very annoying but she is still an elder. In Africa we respect our elders whether they deserve it or not.

I admitted I acted out of anger, but I have not understood why people would call for an intervention for me. I have always been reserved and this was my first ever misunderstanding with a family member. Maybe I will apologise before everyone else imvolves themselves in such a small issue.

Very simple my brother.
Why be a woman and want to use the "power of a man"? grin

When you want him to feed his child while you cook for him, you have to go seduce him first!.

When you want him to pick up his clothes that he dumps anywhere in the bedroom. You have to give lap dance first.

When you want him to wash some dishes while you cook and prepare for your guests coming over, you have to take your clothes off for it first.

When you want him to help the children with putting their clothes on for school while you prepare food for every one, you have to give him MouthAction first.

So what happens when she grows too old and wrinkled to bribe with sexual appeal? I assumed a responsible person helps where he sees the need to without being asked. Please help me understand

Would you be willing to bribe your wife with gifts and surprises all your life just to get her to do something in your home?

What are Nigerians known for worldwide? Obviously you are bound to be discriminated against just like anywhere else in the world. Watch "Border Security" almost every West African and Asian is searched for drugs or prohibited food items, should Nigerians stop going to Australia because of this?
