stop "roflmao"-ing you cloth go dirty. are you sure there r not more than those listed? cos i really dont want you marginalizing any group or group of groups. that would be an unacceptable act on ur end.

on a serious note, projects like those need to be thought out in full with all the worst case scenarios simulated before stuff like that are done. in the case of tinapa, the homework wasnt done in its entirety, unfortunately.

Kobojunkie:

That is exactly why I question our readiness for change in Nigeria. We are still busy picking and fighting for those we have made our favorites. Instead of uniting to push for improved accountability and integrity across the board, we still have people who lampooning their fellow /neighbor in their bid to guard possible crooks.

Kobojunkie, you have come with ur 'bad belle' again?  grin grin you know some people are public figures/elders and as such should be accorded respect even when they steal from us. how dare we question our leadSTEALers while we all know "if we are also given the chance we would also LeadSTEAL". you dont know how things work here, "when was the last time you were in nigeria?"

Politics / Re: Akala, Fashola On War Path Over Dumping Of Destitutes by mustafar1: 4:35pm On Apr 10, 2009
or better still lets assume otherwise, he isnt retired. he lost his job and family due to job loss. got depressed and becomes destitute. all other variables from the above still stands. who takes care of him?

Tpia, would your response be different with the above modification? plus i also stated in the initial piece that things fell apart. assume he saved up for retirement, had a house, had a family et all. BUT LOST IT ALL due to no fault of his.
Politics / Re: Akala, Fashola On War Path Over Dumping Of Destitutes by mustafar1: 4:29pm On Apr 10, 2009
Quick Kweshun for all.

what happens when someone haven worked all his life, paid taxes to ogun state because he lives there. paid taxes to lagos state because he works there. then on retirement things fall apart and becomes destitute. who should bare the responsibility of taking care of said individual? by the way he is from oyo state.

Ijawman:

Good counter logic. However, some states (Lagos and Abia) have had to move beggars (who may have moved to those places due to the corruption of their leaders which brought about increased poverty) back to their states, mainly northern states. My point is that states can handle their criminals, while we all meet at the national level and tackle the scourge there.

i guess you are not worsted after all. at least u no respond to my opposing view with cursing and name calling like some do on here.

Kobojunkie:

@Must_a_far, Nigeria there is no need to continue thinking that we need to be white to be racists in Nigeria. We happen to have the largest population of black racists in the world. Only that our form of discrimination goes beyond race, we discriminate against those of different ethnicity, complexions, creed etc. In fact, one can argue that the dilapidated state of affairs in the country is as a result of our racist/discriminatory demeanor.

Now back to the topic, why did you see deem it worth your time responding to that ridiculous and tiny-brained statement posted there? Roflmao!!

i added that for effizy now grin. people tend to paint racism with a certain color you know. when we all know it is colorless. as per my responding, my penkelemess tolerance level in low today.
Politics / Re: Faces Of Corrupt Political Leaders! by mustafar1: 5:46pm On Apr 09, 2009
The effects of zamfara governors looting instead of performing is felt elsewhere because people would move out of zamfara to other states where things are a bit better thereby helping stretch that states resources past its limits and making it seem like said state isnt doing anything.

Ijawman:

Yoruba people na real ogbonge oles. Of all the faces of the bad eggs, more than 60% are Yoruba. Only one Ijaw. So we win.

However, I think we should focus on the national looters and leave state governors alone. The national looters are those whose activities actually affect all Nigerians, while state govs are limited to their states

and the tribalist in you just had to put in ur unwanted half a cent. no wonder Nigeria's fight against all its cancers is harder than budgeted.

at least he did something compare to states like edo and delta

whether he did something or not. if he is found to have enriched himself from the states account. HE IS CORRUPT! with all BUBA MARWA did in lagos, does he fall under corrupt or otherwise?

heck if in future FASHOLA is ever found to have enriched himself illegally. i would be the first to add his name to the corrupt list.

How I wish more humans would learn to resolve misunderstandings/conflicts/problems/issues this way! Thanks.

IMPOSSICANT! why do that when it would be easier to call names and throw unwarranted curses at whoever is around. do we need to do a poll to find out who and who would rather try to understand who they are debating instead of calling them names at the first response?
Politics / Re: Police Brutalty In G20 Meeting Kills Man - Ian Tomlison by mustafar1: 5:40pm On Apr 08, 2009
Sky Blue:

I hope the officer gets disciplined and considering we are speaking of a functioning country i am more confident it will happen compared to if the incident occured in Nigeria. However i am just still at a complete loss at the way you choose to draw your comparisons. Please you might have to repost again so I know i am not getting things mixed up; i mean, are you actually seriously comparing the shooting in the train that occured during a time London was on high alert as a result of the terrorist attacks, to a police officer in Nigeria killing someone over twenty naira bribe? I mean, seriously though, are you joking? What happened to the brazillian was very sad and indeed unfortunate however put it in context instead of just saying a brazillian was shot. A man was running from the police for whatever reason through the london underground during a period when the city was on high alert as a result of terrorist attacks, the man was carrying a bagpack and he was shot. Compare such an incident to a driver in his car seat being shot because of twenty naira; compare that to citizens being flogged ALL THE TIME because they can't clear the road on time for police officers during one of their frequent trips to their local mamaput that seems to warrant use of siren; compare that to innocent people on a large scale being accused of armed robbery if they haven't got enough money to pay. Trust the Nigerian police force, if you have monmey you are not an armed robber but if you can't pay the bribe you are. Should i go on?

Skyblue, na internet saliva u dey waste on top this fellow so? i wont be surprised if he comes back saying you are not making sense.

some years ago, a police officer's gun went off and killed someone sitting in a car parked by the roadside waiting for a football game involving LAZIO and CATANIA in italy. did her get purnished or was he defended by his boss as being right?

Did I hear you say anything worth listening to? Let me wear my glasses properly.

@Mustafar

I am yet to see any meaningful posting you have made, this one inclusive - is the story untrue or what are you barking at? Your teeth must all be fallen out now for the way you have just barked in here - stupid goat with head twisted one side like the butt hole of a horse.

without even trying i have identified my first retard. who said it wasnt true? NOBODY? i have seen where police did as much as rough handle someone and was put on desk duty or suspension pending result of investigation. in ur so retarded mind, someone would get shot in lagos and give accidental discharge as his defence and ur retarded self would agree the person who got shot was shot by mistake. even though it was obvious there was no agression to warrant him needing his gun not to talk of corking it ready for use.

we need to do a serious culling exercise to reduce the number of retards running around nairaland. if people like these are taken off nairaland. i can bet my last shillings that the IQ level on nairaland would rise by 50 points.
