Islam for Muslims / What Is The Islamic Ruling On Black Friday by muteeu(m): 1:52pm On Nov 26, 2016
Question
Salam, What is the Islamic Ruling on Black Friday. People worldwide considered it as shopping day. Can muslim partake in any promo that is targeted or attached to this day. Masalam
Answer
All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad , is His Slave and Messenger.
In fact, Black Friday is not just a shopping day; rather, it is a festival (‘Eed) celebrated by non-Muslims. The Arabic word ‘Eed is derived from
" ‘ awd ” meaning “come again”.
Shaykh Al-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah defined ‘Eed as follows: " The Arabic word ‘Eed means in the Arabic language what recurs of public events in a traditional manner; it may recur every year, month, or week or so. Therefore, the word ‘Eed refers to a day that comes again like ‘Eed Al-Fitr or Jumu‘ah, the gathering on that day and the acts done as acts of worship or traditions on that day. It may or may not be peculiar to a certain place. Any such gathering that takes place regularly can be called ‘Eed. " Therefore, Black Friday is considered one of the ‘Eeds of the disbelievers.
Participating in the celebration of the festivals of the non-Muslims by any given means involves committing religious violations, some of which were highlighted by Shaykh Al-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah as he said:
" With regard to things that they use in their festivals, such as food, drink and clothing, the principles of Imaam Ahmad and others suggest that it (selling such things) is disliked, but does disliked here mean that it is prohibited, as in the School of Maalik, or that it is merely discouraged? The most likely and preponderant view is that it is disliked in the sense of being prohibited as in many similar cases according to Ahmad, because he does not allow the sale of bread, meat and herbs to the dissolute who will drink wine with them, because these things assist them to manifest the false religion and increase the numbers of people who will gather on their festival. This is worse than helping one particular person. "
Allaah The Exalted says (what means): { And cooperate in righteousness and piety, but do not cooperate in sin and aggression. And fear Allaah; indeed, Allaah is severe in penalty. } [Quran 5:2]
Based on this, it is impermissible for the Muslim to take part in this ‘Eed or help others celebrate it by partaking in any commercial promotion that is particularly targeting that day; rather, he should treat it like any other day of the year.
Allah Knows best.

Stomach ulcers, also known as gastric ulcers, are open sores that develop on the lining of the stomach.

Ulcers can also occur in part of the intestine just beyond the stomach – these are known as duodenal ulcers.

Both stomach and duodenal ulcers are sometimes referred to as peptic ulcers. Here the term “stomach ulcer” will be used, although the information applies equally to duodenal ulcers.......

Politics / Re: Binta Garba: My Primary Constituency Is To Be In The Kitchen & Other Room by muteeu(m): 5:08pm On Oct 20, 2016
NO MATTER THE LEVEL OF WOMAN IN THE SOCIETY, SHE STILL REMAINS THE COMMANDER IN CHIEF OF THE HOUSE - AND I MEAN EVERY SECTION OF THE HOUSE. THE COMFORT OF THE HOME IS THE EXCLUSIVE RIGHT OF A GOOD WIFE. A GOOD WIFE MAKES THE HOUSE A HOME, AND THE HOME A FAMILY.

NO MATTER HOW HARD YOU TRY TO AVERT THE REALITY, A GOOD WOMAN IS VERY MUCH AWARE THAT SHE BELONGS TO THE KITCHEN - THE SITTING ROOM - AND THE OTHER ROOM.

MY WIFE BELONGS TO THE KITCHEN :
A good woman cooks for her husband, except in few cases where class and schedules are involved, and they employed cook(s). But despite that, she still monitors the food items that goes into the kitchen and oversees how food is being prepared and served in the house. She never leaves the kitchen completely in the hands of the cook(s). She often visit the kitchen to prepare for her husband his favourite meal. A woman is the Commander in Chief of the Federal Republic of the Kitchen.

MY WIFE BELONGS TO MY SITTING ROOM:
The sitting rooms is the crucial meeting point of the family where they meet, play and liaise together. The home management skills of a good woman, her good heart and her charming smiles makes the sitting room conducive for the whole family as a meeting point. When a man is married to a bad woman, the entire family is permanently confined to their individual rooms whenever they are at home. They only visit the sitting room to receive visitors and retires to their rooms as soon as their visitors left. A good woman belongs to the sitting, because she is the only person to make the sitting room a good meeting point for the whole family.

MY WIFE BELONGS TO THE OTHER ROOM:
At the end of the hustles and hassles of the day, the other room is where the husband and wife retires, either to perform their marital duty or to cuddle themselves till the next day. A good wife surely belongs to the other room because the other room is the most important room in the family. The other rooms is where most important decisions in the family are made. The other room is where they agree to disagree. The other room is where they fulfil the law of procreation.

CONCLUSION:
If you have a wife that does not belong to the KITCHEN, SITTING ROOM and THE OTHER ROOM, my dear, go and remarry, you are still a bachelor.

Islam for Muslims / Scotland Allows Hijab As Part Of Police Uniform by muteeu(m): 4:10pm On Aug 26, 2016
Muslim women who join the Scottish police force can now wear the hijab as part of their uniform.
Previously, they had to obtain permission but now it is an optional part of the uniform for those wishing to wear it.
This move follows the London Metropolitan Police who already allow the female police officers to wear the hijab.
The change in uniform rules was announced via a tweet by Police Scotland:
The hijab is now an optional part of Police Scotland uniform.
The police force wanted to represent the communities it serves. Chief Constable Phil Gormley said:
“I am delighted to make this announcement and welcome the support from both the Muslim community, and the wider community, as well as police officers and staff.
“Like many other employers, especially in the public sector, we are working towards ensuring our service is representative of the communities we serve.”I hope that this addition to our uniform options will contribute to making our staff mix more diverse and adds to the life skills, experiences and personal qualities that our officers and staff bring to policing the communities of Scotland.”
Fahad Bashir, chair of the Scottish Police Muslim Association (SPMA) said:
“This is a positive step in the right direction, and I am delighted that Police Scotland is taking productive steps in order to ensure that our organisation is seen to be inclusive and represents the diverse communities that we serve across Scotland.
“No doubt this will encourage more women from Muslim and minority ethnic backgrounds to join Police Scotland.”
Whilst many European countries are working to place restrictions on the Hijab, its wonderful to see Scottish Police being considerate of Hijab wearers.

Politics / Criticising Buhari For The Economic Hardship by muteeu(m): 9:28am On Aug 24, 2016
#WE ARE ALL ECONOMIST!

It's not all doctors are real doctors, there are doctors by practice while some is by tittle, likewise Either by theory or by practice we are all economists. If by chance you're not a commissioner or minister of finance that's analysing for federal or state government, still you're a commissioner minister of finance in your home at the household level.
Take it from me our economy is neither experiencing inflation nor recession because according to Thomas Philips in his curve popularly known as Philips curve stated that there's inverse relationship between inflation rate and unemployment rate which means that when there is high inflation rate there would be decrease in unemployment rate but in the case of Nigeria we are experiencing both at the same time thus makes me disagree that this is not pure inflation rather it's not recession because recession simply means there would be very low or zero economic activities but in the case of my country as the economy grows harder the transaction activities doubles which also against the normal recession so I called Nigerian economy abnormal one which never conform with the economy theories.

#Do you know that?
(1) Obasanjo's administration earned ‪#‎17trn‬ from crude oil sales within eight years and left behind 45bn dollars external reserves and 3.348bn dollars external debt.
(2) Yaradua grew the reserves to 64bn dollars within just one year and the administration was able to finance 15 months of imports despite the 2008/2009 world economic meltdown. Hence, Nigeria survived the melt down because of the political will by the administration to save(a great achievement by Yaradua which most Nigerians are not aware of). Despite the tough economic reality at that time, Yaradua left 47.7bn dollars in reserves and an external debt of 3.94bn dollars. Meanwhile, the administration earned only ‪#‎9trn‬ from crude oil sales within that short period.
(3) Jonathan administration witnessed an oil boom when Brent crude sold for over 100 dollars/barrel, with the regime earning ‪#‎51trn‬ within a period of 5years. But because of corruption, the administration did not only squander the oil revenue but even depleted the reserves left by Yaradua, leaving just 32bn dollars and a huge external debt of 63bn dollars
(4) For Buhari, the same Brent crude sold for as low as 35 dollars/barrel at a point shortly after Buhari took over power and had only managed to climb to about 48 dollars just recently.
These are facts that can be verified. So, it's amazing hearing people criticize Buhari for the hunger in the land.
According to Fashola, Buhari's administration inherited 206 uncompleted road projects and contract arrears worth #2.1trn from Jonathan; and for about 2 to 3 years the contractors where not paid. This slowed down the economic activities, with most of the companies laying off their staff. This was when the seed of recession was sowed.
#It's obvious that Buhari came in to rescue Nigeria, because if Jonathan had continued in power, the nation's economic crisis would have been worse, perhaps even the Federal government wouldn't have been able to pay salaries of civil servants by now.

According to Okonjo Iweala, Nigeria started borrowing money to pay salaries since October, 2014; but today Nigeria now borrow money for investment in capital projects.
So It's unjust to believe that a family that's earnings #40,000 monthly could put the same food on the table for her children and send their children to the same school with the family that's earnings #148,000, I think the gap is too wide. So also a government that its earnings a huge amount, high foreign reserve and without debt burden can never be compared with the less privilege one, with high debt, zero foreign reserve and low earnings .
Every player is skilful and talented when belongs to a best team while everyone is a failure even if you're skillful than C Ronaldo once you belong to a flop team that's why you can not compare Okocha with Kanu.
When we want to measure the economy that's moving there so many factors that must be taking in to consideration such as
(1)The level of revenue,
(2) The level of both internal and external debt,
(3)The size of foreign reserve,
(4)the value of local currency and the last but not the least
(5)the consumer behaviour.
why because all these have what we called causal effect and it would go a long way to determine the state of the economy of a nation.
If we should look at Nigerian economic generally right from 1960 till date, the only period we have a stable, balance and best economy is during Abacha's regime mind you I'm not talking of corruption matter but economy matter , so what policy of economy did he used then through my thorough research I discovered that what he used was closed economy which is exactly what we need now as a means to get out of this economic mess,
#At household level
Focus on things that are within your control and neglect things that are beyond your control. Foreign exchange, price of petrol, inflation rate, price of rice etc are beyond you because you are not the world bank, IMF, central bank NNPC, PPMC, and the federal government. However, you are you, who can control the quantity of rice you eat, the volume of petrol you use, the bottles of soft drink you consume, the type of apparel you use, and as host of other things that are within your control. Be who you are, do not be a copy of another. The economy may be bad but do not drive yourself to depression. Stop catching up with the others.
#At aggregate level
our government should close our borders, sea port, and airport for either short, medium or long run which would be 2 years, 3 years and 4 years respectively in other to make sure that we Nigerians buy made in Nigeria goods and services to grow our Naira and our economy in other to weaken the Dollar.

Islam breed violence.
you consider the bombing and slaughtering of the innocent, defenceless people-worshippers, the aged, women, children, buyers and sellers in malls etc- jihaad, you aren't different from non Muslims in their famed misconception of the term.
The best jihaad is the jihaad against your whims. "And for they who fear the standing before their Lord and deny their souls their selfish desire, verily Paradise is their abode" - Qur'aan, chapter NIGHT.
Yes, qitaal (war) is the biggest jihaad but do you forget that the Prophet, alaihiSSalaam gained more reverts to Islaam after the hudaibiyyah peace treaty than through jihaad? Do you not remember that self defence triggered qitaal?
Yes, the Prophet Muhammad, sallaLlaahu alaihi wa aalihee wa sallam, said "whosoever dies without fighting or intending to fight dies a hypocrite." Have you forgotten the context of this statement? Do you also fall in the category of the ignoramuses who mistake this statement for a call to butchery and bloodthirst? Pity!
There were three sahaabah who came to Prophet Muhammad, sallaLlaahu alaihi wa aalihee wa sallam, and embraced Islaam. They thereafter lodged in another companion's house. When a war broke out, one of them was picked and he was martyred. During another, the second was picked and he too was martyred. The third never fought. He died on his bed, 'peacefully'.
Their host, in his dream saw the trio in jannah. The shocker he got was that the last to die who didn't fight any war led them in paradise. The second to be martyred was second while the first to get martyred was the last on the queue. Their host narrated this to the Prophet, alaihiSSalaam.
The Prophet Muhammad, sallaLlaahu alaihi wa aalihee wa sallam, responded thus: "Are you surprised? There is none more honorable than the believer who lives long glorifying and magnifying Allaah's name."
So the one who would have fought if war was necessitated but didn't, as his leader never called him, lived long engaging in other forms of worship, emerged the most favored by Allaah!
The young man arrested while attempting to go join ISIS caused his mother a big problem. The poor woman has been in coma since hearing of his involvement in terrorism. Perhaps he forgot that Allaah's pleasure lies in parents' pleasure? Perhaps he forgot that he sinned against Allaah by attempting to embark on an expedition without their consent? His father too is in shock right now. So much about seeking Allaah's pleasure through jihaad.
Aboo Bakr assiddeeq, the first khaleefah (caliph) after the Prophet, alaihiSSalaam, gave jihaad rulings thus:
1) Don't kill women
2) Don't kill children
3) Don't kill Priests, Rabbis, Hermits etc
4) Don't cut down economic trees
5) Don't kill domestic animals
6) Don't attack places of worship
I ask you, brothers and sisters, which of these rules have ISIS, BH and their likes not broken?
Do these rules not point to qitaal as being strictly a war against an army?
Also, who is the Muslim leader here who has sent our fighters to Sooriyyah on qitaal errand? Do you fight without a leader? Can you say sincerely that we have a leader other than the Sultaan of Sokoto? Why have you decided to pretend he doesn't exist?
I believe you disapprove of the manner of his emergence. But did the Prophet, alaihiSSalaam, not admonish us to accept and obey our leader even if we believe he isn't qualified?
If you believe the ISIS leader is the leader of the entire Ummah, how did he emerge? Is this how the sahaabah chose a leader for the Muslim Ummah?
This perceived jihaad is a mistake too costly to dabble into. Save your lives and do better things with same. Stay here and fight the most needful jihaad; against ignorance, voodoo, hate etc. Learn and propagate Islaam patiently and sincerely . Excerpts from yesterday's discussion on "Contemporary 'jihaad' in Borno, Somalia, ISIS etc. Should Nigerians troop there to assist their 'Islamist' fighters?

Crime / – Army Declares Three People Wanted by muteeu(m): 6:09pm On Aug 14, 2016
– Sakilda known as Ambassador is said to have knowledge about the actual location of the abducted Chibok girls
– Sources say Sakilda may be wanted for exposing the inability of the military to wipe out Boko Haram insurgency
In the early hours of Saturday, August 13, the Boko Haram terrorist group released a video showing some of the abducted Chibok girls.
On the other hand, the Nigerian army issued a statement where it stated that some persons have been declared wanted. The reason for calling for the heads of these people may not be unconnected to the issue of the Chibok girls who are in captivity of the Ahmed Sakilda (Ambassador), one of the wanted men, was nicknamed in some quarters as the voice of Boko Haram.
Before the army issued the statement explaining why the three men have been declared wanted, the Defence Headquarters issued a statement that it was studying the latest video from Boko Haram group, purporting to show some of the kidnapped Chibok schoolgirls.
The statement released by the army cane with the title, ‘Nigerian army declares Ahmed Salkida (Ambassador), Ahmed Up Bolori and Aisha Wakil wanted’ and is given bello

The world is quite aware of the abduction of several persons; women, children and men, including the female students of Government Secondary School Chibok, Borno State Nigeria by Boko Haram Terrorists group. Consequently, appeal was made for their unconditional release by the Federal Government. The military also made concerted efforts to rescue them. We also appealed to Nigerians that have any information to volunteer to the military or security agencies to enable us rescue them
However, two recent incidents have pointed to the fact that, there are three individuals namely; Ahmed Salkida, (Ambassador) Ahmed U. Bolori and Aisha Wakil that have information on the conditions and the exact location of these girls. Therefore, the Nigerian Army hereby declare the two gentlemen and the lady wanted for interrogation. We are relying on the relevant laws of the land and in particular the Terrorism Prevention Act 2011 (as amended) where Nigerians could be punished for failure to disclose information about terrorists or terrorists activities. This become necessary as a result of their link with the last two videos released by Boko Haram Terrorists and other findings of our preliminary investigations.
There is no doubt that these individuals have links with Boko Haram Terrorists and have contacts with them. They must therefore come forward and tell us where the group is keeping the Chibok Girls and other abducted persons to enable us rescue them.
We are therefore calling on all Nigerians and peace loving people to give us useful information on their whereabouts. We are also liaising with other security agencies for their arrest if they failed to turn up.
You are please requested to kindly disseminate this information to the public through your medium.
Thank you for your kind and usual cooperation.
