I have the same problem.oxygen sensor or air/fuel sensor bank 1 sensor 1.my mechanic said that current is nt in one place like that.cos he said d sensor is good.he said the brain box is reading a false info to the computer boa bla bla.but I still get like 17.9 to 18.1MPG on the average.how can I fix this problem.I'm in benin.thanks

Thanks if u say so.but d fin has dropped to 17.3 today.well I pulled d sensor and noticed oil in the attachment I mean d one u attach d closet to.enclosed here is a pic.is dat where the air/fuel sensor bak 1 sensor 1 is located.if dat is it den I can change it joor.is it normal to find oil dere.pls help.is dere any way d brainb ox can affect dis fin.cos d mechanic said dat dere is no current

Thanks yall.my mechanic claims dat dere are no new oxygen sensors dat u can only get 2nd grade and dat it is 7000 naira.na wa o.so what do I do next

@ md autotec thanks.but the problem is still dere.my mechanic took the sensor out and said that the brain box is faulty and dat it does not read a a correct code bla bla bla.he use a tester to test the stuff and current was in some and not in some.he said something about earth sha.so rite noe I have 18.1MPG as my average mpg.is dis good or bad and can u direct me to where I can solve dis problrm once and for all in benin

Hello nissparts.good morning.mine is a toyota camry big daddy.I scanned and got code p1135 air/fuel sensor heater sensor 1 bank 1.I took it to a mechanic in benin and after like 9hrs dey cud not do anyfin.the oga den said that the brain box is faulty and dat it is nt sendin a rite info to the ecu bla bla bla.when I drove dere I had an average MPG of 18.3 MPG.but as I was leaving dere the fin dropped to 18.1MPG.na wa o.so my question what is the function of this sensor .does it make d car thirstier for fuel and is my average MPG okay for a toyota camry.pls do u know any good place in benin where this problem can be solved cos I don tire.it should be impt to note dat ther removed two of the sensor claining its d oxygen sensor.one on the exhaust manifold oppoiste the radiatir kinda and the other one under the car just before the catalytic converter.dey soaked it in hydraulic sef and after all d crap dey did it still did nt work.so where is the actual positon of that sensor sef

Thanksfor this post.I want to buy this coolant stuff but don't seem to know where to buy it in benin.I went to total but the one dey have is green anf toyota camry uses red.so I did nt buy again.and moreso where do I add the coolant.is it the radiator or the coolant reserovir cos I'm confused.currently I use water for both o and d car works perfect sha and how do I know if it is mixed already

Nufin happened.the code came up and I went for a scan.my mechanic has not touched my engine area at all.I just serviced the car with AP visco 2000.is dat d reason for the code.but e don reach like 3 wks when I service am na and na now d code dey show.is it dat d oil is nt good cos dey recommened 5W 30 oil but naija no get dat one .so I used 20W 50 from AP visco.is it a very serious problem.tot dey said toyota camry 2002-2006 uses timing chain and not timing belt.na wa o

@dizzy bizzy thanks.so the sensor is located in the engine area and my mechanic said it is located under the exhaust @ the back of the car.na wa o.does dis make d car consume too much fuel.

Nice thread.have d same issues here.pls we need answers.what transmisson oil and steering oil,engine oil and brake fluid is best for toyota.I use abro too sha but have nt noticed anyfin wrong wif the gear.someone advised me to discontinue its use as its prolonged effect on ur gear system is disastrous.for engine oil I use visco 2000 from AP.dunno if dis engine oil is good cos the specified one to use is 5W-30. But have nt seen dat one in naija o.

@ba aliyah thanks.is the synthetic oil the one for 9K sold in mobil?so u r suggesting I discontinue using AP visco 2000 rite.so the mobil 20W 50 is bettér dat the AP visco 2000 abi?

Mine does not show any sign of leakage.I checked under the vehicle and dere is no leakage.and also the power steering fluid is still @ its max position.dey said I should bleed it dat dere is air in the steering.my mechanic den said if I bleed it and the problem persist.I will have to buy a new pump
