As I woke up this morning, I started preparing as usual to go to church and so also were others around me.

I got to church and the place was already filled up with people...I was happy though but something struck me as I knelt down to pray...what was my motive for been in church today? Well,I came to thank God for last week and pray for his grace for this week...

Was that really the motive of all those present in the church with me? I doubt...so I decided to ask...what is your motive for going to church this morning?

I was once in an interview and immediately I entered one of the interviewer frankly looked up and smarked my tie , he claimed it is to tiny for his liking and that he's gonna mark me down for my dressing due to my tiny tie !!

I argued it out withing 5seconds but he was not convinced .... We got on with other part of the business and fortunately for me , I was able to stunned him with my responses to their drillin which thus covered-up my tie woes !!!

How you look is more important than you might think. Apart from the fact that it is human nature to be evaluated immediately by how you dress, how you look take advantage of someone in the first 30 seconds of appearance even if you feel awkward inside. if you look good, you radiate confidence and self-esteem beliefs without you knowing it.

My advice is to take the company to which you want work and try studying it. If you like, you can visit their offices and take a look at what everyone else is using. Some companies expect a formal dress, in such companies you can wear formal, especially law firms or accounting firms. But other firms may not really put much importance on formal dressing.

Make sure you use the right colour that suits you that you are comfortable in, at least a little bit. One thing about dressing is that you may not be too comfortable about your dressing, but you still look good.

Some organization will not mind if you dress casual for interview, but most will. And the reverse is the case. Formal dressing is accepted by all companies especially when coming for an interview. Your prospective employer think you are responsible and well coordinated when you dress formal especially when you have lots of people competing for the jobs are equally qualified.



The old saying is still true today, dress how you want to be addressed.

   Wear a solid color conservative suit with a tidy shirt or blouse

    Don’t over wear perfume, makeup, cologne etc

    Make sure your hair is well groomed and not hurriedly done. Take the time to fix your best hair

    Wear modest shoes

   Minimum Jewelry use is better

    Try and do a dress rehearsal before the day before the interview to see how people see you. You just rush off on that day if you have not selected what to wear

    It is better to be overdressed than under-dressed. So in all you do make sure you look your best and practice a nice smile to march.

Jennydoris: Sometimes, tolerance does not work. But since she has left things to escalate to this level she has to endure it and move out of the room. And she should set up some boundaries. I always tell my female friends that the best way to stay with another girl in a lodge or hostel is to set up some boundaries. Like, don't use anything that belongs to your room mate, and even if you want make sure u tell her before collecting it so that she will tell you before using yours. And even when she takes it without telling u once you find out address the issue and tell her that you don't like people using your stuffs without telling you, provide yourself with the things you need, cook on your own and don't allow her to go to your pot of food unless you ask her to but it's better you do it yourself, don't go to hers, if you want to eat her food openly tell her if she wants yours give her but never cook with her in the same pot. If you have a room mate mind how you do things and how you relate to her if not one day things will happen and you may not be able to bear it. So it's better you state your boundaries and maintain it and save yourself some headache. Girls our own just too much.

I don't really know the section to categorize this topic so I felt I should put it here since its about friendship.

A friend of mine have a room mate who lives with her. she complains to me all the time about the girl's laziness and how she can't even pick up a broom or mop to do anything. We advised her to sit the girl down and talk to her about the chores but she prefers to tolerant and keep her silence while doing the chores in order to avoid quarrel,argument or unnecessary misunderstanding since she will soon be packing out.

Now,it happened that there was this unforeseen event that occurred while they were in the kitchen concerning a utensil which she wanted to use but the girl also wanted it but later gave it to her. After cooking,she left and want to eat then the girl came and told her that the pot was actually hers.Yes,the pot is actually hers but what annoyed my friend was that the pot was left for three days in the kitchen without been washed and No,she didn't realize at first that the pot wasn't hers since the cover was actually hers.

This event resulted into insults from the girl to my friend and this caused serious quarrel that she has been trying to avoid. If only she had trashed out the issue of laziness and other problems between them, I think this problem wouldn't have come up because the girl would have washed the pot earlier and there wouldn't have been an issue.

So,I want to know because my friend believes in tolerance...is tolerance and silence the best way of handling issues?
