Nairaland / General / Chevron Strike Could Slash Nigeria Oil Production By 350,000 Bpd by naijazee(f): 8:47pm On Dec 19, 2019
A strike of workers at the Nigerian unit of Chevron could threaten 350,000 bpd in oil production: Chevron’s share in the country’s total output.

Nigerian media report that workers will be striking over unpaid dues, with This Day reporting they were organized by Nigeria’s oil industry union, PENGASSAN, and had yesterday blocked the headquarters of Chevron’s Nigerian subsidiary in Lagos, blocking access to it.

One Chevron Nigeria employee told the daily that only the senior executives of the company were allowed to enter the building “so that they could go in and take decision on the industrial crisis and not to perform any administrative duties.”

“In the coming days, production may be shut down if management does not act fast,” the employee also said.

Asked about the reason for the strike, the employee said “The union is demanding the yearly entitlements of the workers. The workers are entitled to certain allowances in every December and January but the management has refused to pay.”

Chevron is the third-largest oil producing company in Nigeria. It has 40-percent participation in eight onshore and shallow offshore fields as well as three operated and six non-operated deepwater blocks in the country.

Two months ago, Reuters reported that the supermajor was looking for buyers for several of its Nigerian projects, following the example of Shell and Exxon, which are also reducing their presence in Nigeria amid the militant activity escalation in recent years as well as political uncertainty.

This is not Chevron’s first problem with industrial action. Earlier this year, another union threatened to halt the company’s operations if it did not take back 500 people it had laid off as part of shrinking its business in Nigeria. The company was also accused, according to This Day, that it had plans to lay off as much as 70 percent of its local workforce.

Naira Marley after introducing the controversial 'Soapy Dance' almost 5 months ago, has now introduced another dance style called, 'Tesumole Dance.'

The singer who currently could be facing another legal battle after being reportedly ordered to be arrested by the Chief magistrate of a Lagos court in relation to car theft took to his Instagram page last night to announce and give a demo to the new dance style. This dance looks like one that would be difficult for a lot of people considering that the “Zankus” and the “Gbekus” are still dance styles that many are finding really difficult to express.

However, it has been said that irrespective of how difficult anything could be, as a Marlian, you’ve got to find your way to solve it. So marlians….!

A Nigerian man, Abaeze Atuche, has hacked the account of the United States of America government and gave all members from his family and 15 of his friends permanent American citizenship.

A reviews that naijazee.com the US had been taking action against cyber scammers of late, more than 80 Nigerians had been arrested in the USA for internet fraud and other online crimes during the fouth quarter of 2019.

After the arrests, more charges were pressed on some of the suspects and one of them isn't only a scammer. Abaeze Atuche is a hacker and he had accomplished something that no hacker had ever attempted to do previously.

Atuche hacked the US government and gave all members from his family and 15 of his friends permanent American citizenship. Right now the American government is in a procedure of deporting every one of the 33 individuals who got their citizenship because of Atuche's hack.

No details concerning how he pulled it off yet however insiders state his skills are unbelievable. The US government online network is secure however this person demonstrated it generally. If he was not arrested I don't think there was ever going to be an investigation on how his family members got their citizenship.

Abaeze Atuche is just 29 and the hacking began five years prior when he was just 24-years of age. He entered the US using a fake American visa in 2013 and never left. By 2016 his enormous family and 15 of his Nigerian friends were permanent US residents.

Nairaland / General / Shocking: Pastor Adeboye Reveals When He Would Die by naijazee(f): 4:46am On Dec 13, 2019
Affectionately referred to as Daddy G.O of the Redeemed Christian Church Of God (RCCG), Pastor E.A Adeboye has uncovered when he would die.

The revered man of God uncovered this information during the Annual Holy Ghost Congress.

While he was preaching, he made a few revelations on the church was able to secure the huge piece of land many have come to know as the national camp ground.

He stated,

When I was in Mushin, I prayed to God for a boy's quarter but God said I should forget it. That He will build for me a city. When I shared it with my friends then, they thought I was mad. Then not so long we bought about 4 acres of land along the express and built a 100m by 50m auditorium. Some people thought we had arrived but I knew what I heard.

Along these lines, some recommended we build a fence around it since it was the greatest auditorium around then. I dismissed the thought, despite the fact that I love beautiful designs, air-conditioned enclosures, wonderfully painted walls but that isn't what I heard from God. From that point forward we have moved from that point to 3 other greater auditoriums. And now we are in the 3km by 3km auditorium but we are still not yet there.

In this way, when they reveal to you Pastor Adeboye is dead, don't believe them because God said He will build us an auditorium the size of Ibadan. Until that time, I am going nowhere.

This is not the first time Pastor Adeboye is talking about his death. Recall that in September 2018, he categorically stated that he would not die in the next five years.
