Nigerian singer, songwriter and actress, Simisola Ogunleye, now Simisola Kosoko, also generally known as Simi, has taken to her instagram post on how her Husband and lover; Nigerian singer also: Adekunle Kosoko , popularly known as Adekunle Gold; suprised her today on Valentine's Day. The picture Indicates that Simi was still on bed when the suprise came it.

Oluwo Of Iwoland allegedly beats up Ogbagbaa king during a peace meeting. (Photo)


There was chaos in Osogbo, OsunState, on Friday as the Oluwo of Iwoland, Oba Abdrosheed Akanbi, allegedly beat up the Agbowu of Ogbagbaa, Oba Dhirulahi Akinropo.



The victim, Oba Akinropo, alleged that the attack occurred in the office of the Assistant Inspector General of Police (AIG), Zone 11, Bashir Makama, where the AIG summoned other monarchs from Iwoland to a peace meeting to resolve a land tussle among royal fathers within the Iwo axis.



CityMirro reports that it was during the meeting where other monarchs, top police and government officers were present, that Oba Akanbi allegedly rose up from his seat and descended on Oba Akinropo.



The Olu of Ile-ogbo, Oba Agbaje Adetoyese, who confirmed the incident to newsmen on behalf of other monarchs at the General Hospital, Asubiaro, Osogbo, where the assaulted monarch was receiving treatment, said that the development came as a rude shock to the people at the meeting.



He called on Governor Adegboyega Oyetola to caution Oluwo to avoid a break down of law and order in the area. Oba Adetoyese alleged that the Oluwo was threatening other monarchs at the meeting even after the unfortunate incident.



He said: “This is indeed a bestial conduct that is highly unbecoming of an ordinary individual, let alone a royal father. How could a monarch of Oluwo’s status descended so low to the level of physically assaulting another king in the presence of an AIG? This is strange to say the least.


He just stood up from where he was sitting without any provocation and started beating a revered monarch from Ogbaagba; it was the AIG himself that rescued the monarch from him.


We are calling on Governor Oyetola to quickly suspend Oluwo with immediate effect; keeping him on that throne portends great danger to other kings, and the state at large.”

Sir Victor Olaiya, one of Nigeria's high life legends, has died. The musician died on the 12th of February at the Lagos University Teaching Hospital, LUTH, after a brief illness. He was aged 89.


The late Olaiya was married and had many children including Nollywood actress, Moji Olaiya, who died in May 2017.

Some residents of Borno state booed President Muhammadu Buhari during his visit to the area to offer condolences to the victims of the latest Boko Haram attack in the state


According to reports, as the convoy of the president made its way, some residents shouted in Hausa: “Bama so!” “Bamayi!”, which translates to “We don’t want; we’re not interested.”


Borno is a stronghold of the president. During his previous visits to the state, crowds lined up on the streets, chanting “Sai baba!”

Reporting on the hostile reception that Buhari got on Wednesday, a Twitter user wrote;

It was gathered that the Nigerian man died while allegedly having sex with his side chick. The lady who was heard talking in the background of the video, was saying that the deceased got what he deserves. She added that his wife and children will survive without him.



Unconfirmed sources however alleged that it was the wife of the late Nigerian man that was placing the curses.

Lady’s leg amputated after allegedly being crushed by her ex (Patience Jonathan’s cousin) (Photos)

A Nigerian lady, Miss Seigha Atia, have had her leg amputated after it was allegedly crushed by her ex-boyfriend, Victor Oba, a cousin to a former First Lady, Dame Patience Jonathan. Oba, who is reportedly the Manager of the First Lady’s hotel, Aridolf Hotels and Spars in Yenegoa, Bayelsa State and owner of a Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV), allegedly rammed his car into the 23-year-old Atia, damaging her left leg beyond treatment, leaving her for dead and speeding off afterwards.

He was subsequently arrested but was later freed by the police. The victim’s lawyer, Aluzu Ebikebuna, confirmed the amputation of his client’s leg.

Narrating the incident, the victim said: “On the day of the incident, we had an argument and he called me and asked me to come outside of our gate to get the rest of my things in his car. The next thing, he drove his car into me with speed. He hit me against our gate, held me there and did not reverse his car despite the fact that I was screaming in pains.” “He later reversed and I fell to the ground and he zoomed off. My neighbors, who watched what happened screamed for help and came to my rescue. This relationship lasted for four months. But I decided to quit when I discovered that he was a violent person. He had hit me once that was when everything started to take a nosedive.“

SOTITOBIRE Missing Child: Akure Prophet, Alfa Babatunde Sent Back To Prison For The Next 39 Days (photos)


An Ondo State High Court sitting in Akure has remanded the General overseer of Sotitobire miracle center Akure, Prophet Alfa Babatunde at the Olokuta correctional centre for the next 39 days.

It will be recalled that Alfa Babatunde and six others were arraigned over counts of conspiracy to kidnap and aiding kidnapping of a missing one year old boy in his church last year.

At the hearing of the case on Thursday, the prophet and others pleaded not guilty to three counts charges against them.

Other defendants are Omodara Olayinka Margaret Oyebola ,Grace Ogunjobi, Egunjobi Motunrayo and Esther Kayode.

All efforts by the counsel for the defendants, Olusola Oke to ensure court granted them bail based on the applications earlier filed were unsuccessful as the The Director of Public Prosecutions, Grace Olowoporoku told Justice Ayedun Odusola that the defendants counsel filed multiple bail applications that were difficult to replied.

Justice Odusola however asked Mr Oke to fine tune his bail applications pending the next court date so as to commence hearing of the bail applications.

He adjourned the case till 16 ,17 and 19 March for next hearing.

A source said that the prophet had thought that he would be granted bail on Thursday, looked worried when he realized that he would have to be in Olokuta medium Corrections center for the next 39 days.

Meanwhile, the road linking the court as well as the court premises were filled up with residents who came to see the out come of today’s hearing while security operatives manned the court room where the case was being heard.
