Bros, almost ALL the Yoruba guys i know are supporting Obi (and a few of them Atiku). And i know alot of Yorubas.

Those guys are also about the moat ferocious supporters Obi.

This is my experience, apart from other things which i may not say here.

Obi is spreading like wild fire. Only the "core north" is left or just starting

Tinubu APC urchinns butt hurt after they told us that only 4 persons will vote for Obi in Oyo.
And then, puff: Oyo and Ogun happened yesterday.

I can now say confidently that Obi will do very well in other SW states apart from Lagos(which he may even win).

SW votes will be divided into 3, and Obi will have his fair share. No Block votes for the old man.

And that is what we want

PS; As for Governorship, Makinde will very likey win

In my opinion, it is the north that will determine if Obi wins. If they vote based on tribe, region or religion then Atiku might win and we will have to live with another 4 to 8 years of another pdp looting.

Nope... the north will NOT determine this election cos they have 3 or 4 strong candidates to choose from. They will NOT give any candidate block votes.

Just wanted to point that out

The usual shameless urchinns congregating. Dem do mobilize dem for their whatsapp group.

Shameless people.

What people will remember, apart from the seeming non-religious/ethnic massive acceptance of Obi by Professional Lawyers in Nigeria, is the fact that Tinubu had to ask Shettima to come all the way from Borno state for a conference that is less than 20 mins from his own house at Ikoyi.

People will ask why? And they will be reminded of his ill health(both physically and mentally) as well as his inability to articulate any fluid thoughts anymore. Tinubu will continue to be kept out of public scrutiny till after the election, just like Diaster Buhari was also stage managed. They know these.

They would also know that parts of the north is setting Shettima as the Placeholder for a frail Tinubu.

These are the issues tha will occupy their minds. And it is weighty shiits

Heard that Obi has taken over southern Kaduna. This is just another proof of that. And sm totally loving it.

I also heard that the Gov candidate for Kaduna from the Labour party is the SOKAPU President himself. Very, very strategic move in deed.

If Labour takes Southern Kaduna, and with Datti from the more northerly parts of Kaduna (same parts that Kwakwaso, Atiku and Tinubu) would also fight over, then there is a real chance of winning Kaduna if the work is done.

I love it

An aunt who joined PDP as far back as 1998 also told me that they will fight dirty to win the Governorship but they are being careful to campaign against Asiwaju. She said the state owes him for his goodwill towards MKO, Amosun, Yayi, Osinbajo etc and campaigning for another Fulani man against him may dent their image.

There is no way Wike can tell Rivers people , even his core supporters to vote for APC and Tinubu. Especially when there is an Obi to choose from.

If he does that, that may be the end of his political career.

Moreover, Wike wouldnt not try it cos any attempt to endorse Tinubu may lead to a bandwagon effect for APC and against PDP in other down-the-ballot candidates in the election. He wouldnt take that risk cos of Ameachi. However, that sort of deal can easily be done with Labour party (i.e i vote for President, whilst you vote for some of my other candidates) especially since Obi is already popular with Rivers people.

All of theze if he doesnt reconcile with Atiku sha

That is a small Anambra.

Stop referring me to useless threads here.

I know Anambra state very well. Peter Obi transformed that state.

Anambra has one of the best road networks today is mainly cos of Obi. Anambra is still top in the educational and health indices today is cos of Obi. Peter Obi made Anambra one of the safest states in Nigeria, fighting kidnapping and other violent crimes to a standstill. He made the payment of salaries and pensions an afterthought after clearing months of arrears. He brought Governance to areas of Anambra that has historically complained of margibalization. He reformed the way Govt ways. Cut costs in Governance, as well as Saved for the state. On each of these, Anambra was amongst the worst before he came into office.

He did what a serious, conscientious Govt should do, not the eye service thingy that lesser leaders do.

Plus, i trust him. This is something i cannot say for most Nigerian politicians. Character is everything as they say

I'm actually not a Yoruba but I've lived in Yoruba land, Lagos precisely for long

Any Yoruba, Hausa or fulani man and woman campaigning for Obi should have a rethink and retrace their step back. Though this isn't supposed to be so but you see those IGBOS have turned this election to tribalistic one. They have even turn it to religious one

I will support and vote for Tinubu. He has more achievements, antecedents and legacies to point at as a governor and when he left government than EVERY other contestants

Tinubu is very much accommodating and tolerance than other contestants. IGBOS are taking political position in Lagos. IGBOS are civil servants in Lagos and other South western states. IGBOS are doing businesses freely in Lagos and other south western region

Please go to any eastern state to see if you'd see any Yoruba or Hausa man as ordinary councillor. It is a TABOO to the Igbo

To them their igbo president in form of Obi is the best after bread and butter while others are nothing to write home about. Support Tinubu or Atiku and watch them curse, bash or threaten you. They accused you of being paid for supporting Tinubu or Atiku while them are doing it freely. They always insult the Fulani and Hausas and call them all sorts of names. They even call them cow, almajiri etc. They insult the Yorubas calling them fulani slaves. They condemned Nigeria as a country. Claiming Nigeria is a ZOO

ACHIEVEMENT- I WILL VOTE TINUBU
TOLERANCE & ACCOMMODATING- I WILL VOTE TINUBU

For the northerners who reside in the north you can ask any of your family or friends living in Lagos and other South western states they will tell you how Yoruba are so friendly, loving and accommodating. Go to the state headquarter at Alausa ikeja you'll see igbos holding top position without any discrimination

Go to east and see how all positions are occupied completely by all igbos.

An average IGBOS are resentful, spiteful, hateful, bittered et al. They literally see themselves better, superior and more sophisticated than other tribes.

PLEASE verify this my claim if you aren't aware of it and make a decision on who to campaign and vote for

I leave you to your conscience

All these useless ethnic baiting(which shamelessly is the only remaining campaign strategy of APC) would not work this time around.

It is dead on arrival. Too much at stake

Rest!!

Lagos is a predominantly APC state.

The APC wins everything in Lagos state.

The Lagos state's political apparatus, elected officials from all the regions and LGs are almost 99% APC, not PDP, not LP or any other inconsequential mushroom party.

So, when you say Yoruba and ibo population and political power are the same, so, the fact that the APC is the dominant party, also the fact that the APC wins everything in Lagos and nearly all the elected officials are APC means the so called equally dominant ibo people in Lagos vote for the APC.

If Lagos is by population Yoruba/ibo, why are ibo people not equally dominant politically across the board in Lagos? Why are they not occupying half of the elected office in the state and the legislature?

Are ibo people dominant in Ikorodu, Epe, Badagry, Lagos Island and the mainland which remains the APC's largest vote getting LGs?

The fact that you see ibo people in a few enclaves in Ajegunle and a few other places doesn't mean you dominate anything, besides, there are millions of folks from the SS and the North to match your numbers in the Lagos and they don't make crude, crass and low self-esteem noise and project fake sense of relevance.

See, the ibo political relevance and population equality with Yoruba people in Lagos is a myth, it's the usual ibo ignorance and their lousy sense of delusions and meaningless relevance.

Lagos remains predominantly Yoruba and APC state.

Peter Obi will win Lagos next year. You can go mark that down.

But that will be not be cos of any Igbo Vs Yoruba imaginary thingy. It will be cos the majority od people in Lagos(Igbos, Yorubas, Binis, Itsekiris, northerners, young, old etc) will vote for Obi.

The so called Igbo population will just be a bonus

Any day GEJ/PEJ are on their frequent visits to Lagos we spend hours and hours in traffic amongst several horrible decision of those years of the locust which eventually made Nigerians decide that enough is enough, stealing is now corruption. Most folks taking and stealing from the country miss GEJ no doubt but it is not the fault of Nigerians for voting out GEJ, it was because he failed woefully.
Those hating on PMB because he defeated GEJ can keep wailing but Nigerians have moved on. It is a general verdict that GEJ's government was no good and had to be voted out. From Air Peace scandal in US to Arms scandal to Etetegate to PI& D scandal to oil subsidy scandal to many monumental scandals, it was complete disaster as if he went to sleep completely.

Except something really major happen before the elections, Peter Obi will win Lagos next year.

Apart from all the SE states, Lagos is the other state i am almost certain Obi will win, even before states like Edo or Rivers.

Also, Lagos has the highest number of registered voters in the country(way more than Kano). Kano has always had a higher vote count cos more people turnup on elections there than in Lagos and cos of unrestrained rigging from incidence forms. It will be different this time around.

You are not getting it.obi is popular in the ss but this is mostly at the urban areas.again, most ss people just like se do not vote esp in rivers.it is rigging galore.you can check the updates on 2011,2015 and 2019 polls on rivers by independent observers for more updates.it is only in pH that some semblance of voting takes place.why wike is so important is not that he is popular but his ability to rig massively and counter apc rigging.the terrain of rivers, bayelsa does not support free and fair elections.it was in 2018 that rivers to a small extent experienced real elections.so if wike decides to be neutral and amechi and Abe move into action, theres no stopping them.worse case scenario, most areas will be cancelled just like in 2019 where inec cancelled elections in 6 lgas

Plzz tell us how a political party will rig as much as you just described with the new electoral act and procedure from INEC.

Politics / Re: Rerun Likely Over Obi, Kwankwaso’s Emergence – US Institutes by nameo: 6:40pm On Jul 23, 2022
MikeofAfrica:

You have to understand that three factors win elections in Nigeria. They are Religion, Tribe and Party Structure. Religion and tribe are dominant factors in the north while Party Structure is the dominant factor in South. You also have to understand that the north will use her high population to determine the next president like they did in previous elections.
Buhari won the north against Jonathan in 2011 through tribe and religion factors. Having also contested two previous elections, he had personal structures in the north.
Both Atiku and Kwankwaso have the advantage of religion and tribal sentiments in the north. Atiku also has the advantage of contesting under a party with a good structure in the north. For Tinubu, his party has the strongest structure in the north but the factor of tribe does not favour him.
Hence he tries balancing it by going for a Muslim/ muslim ticket. It is a risk that will make him either win the election or loss it to Atiku.
Obi would have stand a good chance if all Christians can unite and vote for him. But many SW Christians will not mind a Muslim/ Muslim ticket as long as the candidate is a Yoruba. SS is also the stronghold of PDP hence religion will not play a major role in her decision.

You dont know what you are talking about
