Politics / Re: Households Under Pressure As New Electricity Tariff Due July 1 by Nbote(m): 10:28am On Jun 19, 2023
Just imagine how selfish these ediots are. You come in and the first thing is to remove all subsidies enjoyed by the masses. They claim they are removing subsidy on petrol because it was being smuggled to neighboring countries. What is the excuse for the removal of subsidy on electricity and education. Next they will target is Healthcare
anonymous1759:

Data on 44 countries collected by the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), an intergovernmental group, showed that a total of $178 billion was spent by these countries in 2019 to subsidise energy products. $12 billion was spent on coal, $21 billion on electricity, $13 billion on natural gas, and the largest amount, $131 billion, was spent on subsidising petroleum.

You people will just sit in your houses and try to sell the useless propaganda the govt sells you. Countries subsidize education, Healthcare, agriculture and energy because these are the sectors that drives the economy.Try to use Google which is free

I could see his weird upper body through what he wore.

He was one of the two on the roof.
Infact he was the one that shot the first rpg at the incoming police vehicle.

Unfortunately Chris shot him, he didn't really die, just fell down and was there untill the other lady shut him during the last part

He wasn't in the movie. He was just used in a promo video for fans

Politics / Re: Was Govt Using Cooking Gas To Subsidize Petrol? by Nbote(m): 10:19am On Jun 14, 2023
The govt and the NNPC are the faceless cabal running ans ruining the affairs of the country. This APC led govt of the previous and now are evil minded. They came in and took the subsidy payment personal which explains why subsidy payments and petrol consumption mysteriously increased. They came to loot and enrich themselves. Gold mining and other solid minerals massively mined in Zamfara, Niger and Nassarawa states under the cover of banditry. And then a new govt comes in with the pretext of trying to correct all the wrongs by now doing the same things they were doing in a completely different way

Business / Re: Binance Dissociates Self From Binance Nigeria Limited by Nbote(m): 3:22pm On Jun 12, 2023
Some Nigerians barely read and do many others are very gullible people. I couldn't believe most of the comments I read in the previous post reporting the ban of Binance Nigeria. There's only 1 binance and they don't have any subsidiaries in Nigeria. I'm sure they were going to go ahead and start the usual ponzi scheme investment format and many Nigerians would fall for it it.

Lol.. DSS is used to witchhunting, EFCC is used to extend the witchhunt on all fronts. DSS was used to unceremoniously force Chief Justice Walter Onnoghen out so they could quickly install that sharia court Judge who bastardized the system while personalizing the judiciary. DSS was used to hold Dasuki for years and guess what, they didn't prove anything against these people in the courts in the end
Politics / Re: Tinubu To Nigerians: How I Will Repay You For Removal Of Fuel Subsidy by Nbote(m): 8:53am On Jun 12, 2023
Lolzzzzz... Nigerians are really really gullible ppl. The NNPC in March this year admitted the govt pays N209 on each litre of petrol as subsidy. Now they have removed the subsidy a litre of petrol is supposed to be 209 + 195= 404

But over 100 was added and people are clapping that the govt has its citizens at heart lol.. Mind you there's a 1.2 billion dollars that's unaccounted for yet for June as included in the budget for subsidy

Politics / Re: DSS Seizes Emefiele’s Passport, Plans Home, Office Search by Nbote(m): 6:43am On Jun 12, 2023
It's the usual format of looking for a scapegoat and chasing shadows to sell the narrative of seriously fighting for the people. The same way Dasuki was arrested and we were all happy only to find out it was just a witchhunt at the end and nothing was found on him. Isn't it ironic that of all the corruption claims of forex racketeering and the whole confusion of the naira swap policy, the DSS are charging him with a wire transfer to Afghanistan
1. Where's Hadi Sirika who commissioned a chartered and packaged airline, that's afta launching a logo for Billions and purchasing fire fighting trucks for over a billion naira each?
2. Where's the June allocation for subsidy? The previous govt budgeted subsidy for the first half of the year to the tune of about 7.8 billion in dollars (let's not even start about how they arrived at that figure despite NNPC and customs embarassing themselves over the actual figure of consumption)
3. How come petrol price was fixed at over 488 per litre when as early as March Melee Kyari on television in front of marketers said the govt pays N209 as subsidy on each litre of petrol to marketers as subsidy for the product. (Do the maths 195 + 209 will give you the cost of petrol after subsidy is removed). Are Nigerians being "codedly" taxed by the new government for petrol?

These are the questions sane Nigerians should be asking but as usual, they will sell the usual narrative of working and sycophants and sentimental Nigerians (who only reason along tribal and religious lines will ignore all these)

The funny thing is that the subsidy payment for this month was allocated and covered in the 2023 budget. The subsidy payment allocation was for the first 6 months of the year, what happened to the money for the 6th month which is June?

Politics / Re: Emefiele Ran CBN Like Cabal’s ATM, Canteen — Shehu Sani by Nbote(m): 6:43pm On Jun 10, 2023
The elections have come and gone and wait and expectations for the handing over left everyone with uncertainty of what the future held for the nation.

We didn't have to wait too long as during the handover ceremony, the new President caught Nigerians unaware with the shocking revelation of "Subsidy is gone, there's no provision for it in this Year's budget"

And by the next day, pump price across the country had been readjusted to reflect the now reality and the NNPC which had erstwhile maintained there weren't plans to increase pump price of the product amidst the scarcity released a template for prices across the country.
The coming days would witness the sad reality of petrol now selling between N488 to N557 a litre across the Federation as most Nigerians groan under the new burden of increased transportation fares and increased cost of running businesses as almost every business in every sphere of life here depends on petrol with the precarious electricity situation in the country.

However, there seems to be some obvious error which Nigerians and the government seem to have ignored. The previous govt signed the 2023 budget into law and clearly indicated that provisions would be made to pay subsidy for the first half of the year only. A critical look at the budget, the various reports and briefings from the govt on the budget and subsidy issue clearly shows that over $7billion was allocated for the payment of subsidy for the first half of the year. That's about $1.2billion a month for 6 months. The first half of the year is clearly from January to June but somehow the incoming govt claims there was no provision for subsidy payment in the budget it met. Did the new President make an obvious error? What happened to the subsidy allocation for the month of June now that the removal came into effect at the end of May? These are the many questions Nigerians should be asking. As for the NNPC, there's a whole lot it needs to explain to Nigerians top of which is how and who they paid subsidy claims to since they've been the sole importers of Petroleum into the country since 2016 and have not remitted a dime into the Federation account for majority of last year.
