What made me respect him was his statement at one point during the Back Fight with the Foxy Pirates. Also, you've got to admire the kung fu skills but me thinks there is more coming up soon.

A lot is made out of this betrayal stuff....Hawkins and apoo betraying.... And stuff like that

The way I see it....people should ask what would have happened if the alliance between the kid pirates, the Hawkins pirates and the On air pirates, were successful in defeating shanks....what really would happen?

Simple

They will turn against each other

They are PIRATES first of all...trying to look out for their self interest and well being

Secondly....the kid alliance does not have a strong foundation as compared to luffy and law
These were people at each other's throats before killer brought calm to the situation....Hawkins even wanted to get up and leave....the bond was not very strong to begin with....they just banded together to take down a yonko rather than join one as law said in punk hazard and make a name as the next big thing in the one piece world...too bad it came to screeching halt

Law was doing something similar until luffy helped him defeat doflamingo....by helping law achieve his long term goal...there is a stronger reason to stick around when the going gets tough

The kid alliance was not so strong...and when calamity came....they fell apart like a house of cards....it doesn't mean they aren't ambitious pirates....they just weren't prepared or strong enough to do a thing....hence the defection

Oh they are his crew mates, Full time! He probably have a lot of crew mates tho. Even at Sabody arc he transferred the damages to his crew mates when Kizaru attacked. And you just remind me of Hidan, Such a long time since i heard that name...So nostalgic. He is probably still alive since he is immortal(Shikamaru just buried him if i remember correctly) but i doubt the new Boruto story will bring him up again. They are obviously not as creative as Oda the author of One piece who can bring up very little things everyone have forgotten from years ago and make it important. Anyway about the alliance thingy it is possible but Hawkins is perhaps too smart for his own good and totally believe in his predictions. The fact that he easily switch sides to kaido after proposing an alliance with Kid and Apoo shows that he will easily betray Luffy if the odds aren't at his favor.

Faust - the black cat mink in his crew...was not even in this chapter
Back in sabaody, when borsalino confronted him, his crew surrounded him...but when he was eventually attacked....it was random pirates in different locations who received damage....rewatch the scene
No one will work for him if they were basically life insurance proposals...

As for Gatling gun etc....I seriously doubt Gatling gun will take out someone like Hawkins..that will just be a let down
He will have improved in fighting and df ability...perhaps storing a hundred or thousand straw dolls

We know luffy has plot armour and he will defeat kaido....Hawkins just dey follow who know road

19% is quite reasonable for me....even 1% will have been okay....so...a chance to be alive is there

Thanks @idrismusty for the update. I think drake will still align with luffy cos he is still a big part of the plot. I remember the war of the best at marinefold. He was always flicking is card to find out the outcome of luffy if dead or alive.

All supernovae present in wano will play a part....but this is an opportunity to kill off some characters.....to show the severity of the battle to come

Another thing to consider is the possibility of redirecting damage received directly against his opponent....e.g directing luffy's attack against zoro or vice versa

BTW break next week due to Japan holiday. Hawkins powers is kind of lame, If Luffy and Zoro are serious they just have to keep hitting him until he doesn't have any more subordinates to transfer the damages to. What kind of subordinates even agrees to get damages transferred to them? Unless Hawkins is some kind of Royalty like the vinsmoke it makes no sense.

Besides the 19% survival rate is kind of low, I guess this is bye bye to any form of alliance between the Law/strawhats and the rest of the Supanovas in the Wano Kingdom. Since Hawkins consider them weak.

They are obviously not his crewmates....but random folks...I have a feeling that he tags them the way hidan does in naruto..not necessarily blood but something else...he will also have some other abilities beside damage redirection

While there may be no official alliance.....I still expect a grand team up against kaido...they simply have no other alternative... Except big mom interferes

The Naruto series has ended and I still remain a fan. I really love the series. It's one of my favourite manga and anime series.

So, I was on tumblr a few days ago, and came across certain criticisms of the Naruto series and the eponymous character himself. And, being the objective type, I think the concerns raised are issues worth talking about. I personally think there were many ideas and objectives Kishimoto raised at different point in the series which he seemed to have discarded, and failed to either solve or address in the end.

The following is what a critic has got to say about Naruto Uzumaki. I wanna know what you guys think:

99% of the anime I've watched have some glaring flaws, and I don't make a blog to shit on them. Naruto is different, it's mostly just made of flaws. Good points are few and far between. The entertaining thing about Naruto is it's so bad it's funny. You'd never expect a 15 year shonen series to end without a single positive change, without a single important thing resolved, right? but that's exactlu what happened in naruto. Not a goddam change in the shinobi system.


Most literature for children tell them you can change the world if you fight for what's right e.g Hunger games and Harry Potter. Naruto tells you don't try to change anything, you'd fail. Just conform to authorities and the status quo, and you'd be recognised. Naruto is just unbelievable, tbh I do feel bad for those anti who say Naruto is their childhood.

I am not undermining them base on the Headliner title in itself. Just undermining them base on how little Kaido thinks of their potentials. Despite them being his servants keeping them alive have no use to him, same as Kid.

Besides Kaido also have nothing to gain from an alliance with the supernovas, He is a God damn Yonko for years now, took over wano himself and probably already have strong calamities that can solo two or three of the supernovas at a time. So why did he still let Appoo and Hawkins join his crew? Storyline plot of course! Same reason Kid was dump in a cage.

For some reason Oda haven't made Zoro go all out since the time skip, even before they are very few times he met an enemy that made him give his all. Oda isn't going to waste that piled up hyped baddastry on another Supernova. If Zoro is going to be fighting seriously this arc it must be against one of Kaidos strongest calamities, Kaido himself(Though Luffy already booked this one) or the Wano Shogun if he is a really strong swordsman. Not some magician coward who can't even stand up to Kaido but wants to freaking defeat Shanks! His rank(Headliner) is even the exact same with Sheepshead which is one of the lowest rank in the Kaido pirate. Even Capone bege got the Rook position in the big mom pirate and was basically in charge of security.

Another thing I've noticed.....ranks and levels

Undermining Hawkins because he is the same rank as sheepshead is like undermining Mohawk because he is a shichibukai like buggy....rank does not automatically equate to power levels

Even among sakazuki, borsalino and kuzan....there are differences in strength

Even among the yonko

But the clearest examples are the shichibukai and the vice admirals....that the have the same rank does not mean they are all level in power

Drake who joined a year ago or so....is still a headliner....as with sheepshead and Hawkins

We don't even know if the headliner is the lowest rank....the way I see it....a headliner answers directly to a calamity....which is evident between sheepshead and Jack

Let them shed more light on this later on before we can then make conclusions

As for zoro

Contextual story writing is the reason he has not met anyone strong....that's how the story has gone

The supposed best fishman swordsman...hyouzou...was a scam

From there they went to punk hazard....where the strongest antagonist was undoubtedly vergo....who zoro never encountered...there was Caesar and Monet..but well....smoker too did not fight zoro...he fought vergo...and we know how that turned out

Then they went to dressrosa....they had their shenanigans... But zoro ran into admiral fujitora....we know what happened....then he fought pica

They went to zou....but jack who returned, was taken out before he got on top of zou....here, no antagonist

Zoro did not go to wholecake island

We are in wano currently...early parts of wano

So....as it is....the only worthy opponent I'll say zoro encountered was Issho...and there you go.....he will get his fight

REALISTICALLY speaking....there is no reason why Kidd is still alive. Kaido should kill him no qualms and he has nothing to lose by not killing him...but guess what? Oda had him thrown in a cage. It is OBVIOUS he is alive for story purposes. Meaning...Hawkins?...not so much. In PIRATE LORE.....many pirates ally and betray each other...this is no different....kaido landed on kid's base and the supernova knew they stood no chance....apoo and Hawkins defected and joined kaido...kid refused...sure he is a badass....but had it been a real life situation....apoo and Hawkins have lived to betray and fight kaido another day...while kid would have been killed....are we forgetting bege did something similar with big mom?....kid apoo urouge and bege tried to defeat her and none succeeded... Bege then decided to work for her?.....cowardly yes...but it was the smart thing to do then...and if not for story..kid should be dead....if you think he wouldn't be..of what purpose does throwing him in a cage serve?

Lol he is at least strong enough to run away, Even Zoro could probably handle all of them. But the problem is that he has a Hax devil fruit that both Zoro and Luffy doesn't knows about. If he isn't there for an alliance he could easily do something sneaky like make a doll of Luffy and any Damage zoro does to him will transfer to Luffy. Or better he already have a doll of Kaido himself making him completely invisible. Since Kaido wants to die so much he wouldn't mind having some damages transferred to him would he? If i remember correctly that's how his devil fruit works and the possibilities are limitless!

But i believed Oda can't risk to De-hype either Luffy-Zoro and Hawkins. They will just be some light scuffle to showcase all the supernovas feats and then an alliance.

Besides no chapter this week.

I myself doubt zoro alone to easily handle all of them...he will have some problems with hawkins

By my earlier post....I meant he will prefer to take down a yonko than to stay under one...but joined kaido to save his own skin...
