This pathetic miscreant has written extensive diatribes on Lt Gen Ihiejirika as a result of the alleged recent promotion in the cesspit Nigerian army. Each of this fool’s craps was on the subject of the alleged tilted promotion exercise and centered on 1966, Biafra and Ndigbo. Yet this jackass has the effrontery to take issues on who have independent and unalloyed view or lack thereof.

An ill-informed independent and unalloyed view is a foolish one at best.

nooooooo, noooooo!!! angry

this is bad idea! this is like laying tracks for trams, except instead of on surface we are suspending it in the sky. this is bad idea. how do you combine fast tracks planned for the metro rails with outdated drags?

let us expand development hinterland into yoruba townships instead of wasting money in one spot to construct multi layers of redundant projects.

Eko Ile please share with the Governor to convert this money and erect a parallel fast track to compete with nigerian railway corporation. we need to depopulate lagos. people can live in oyo and commute daily to lagos to work. it is possible for people in osun to commute back and forth daily to lagos. it is called speed train or bullet train. sky cable cars will only incite the remaining millions left in villages to troop into lagos and be part of the skyriding crowd.

bad bad bad policy on this one......scrap it!

oily Yoruba: I'm really amazed at the way certain Igbo sons bring confusion amongst Ndigbo by disrespecting the Eze.... Dochris999 and advocate666, wait for the next election for the one that brought our Eze is over. Eze Odumchi, I've read your stand regarding Biafra and how you feel it relates to Ndigbo, but I think you missed the point I was trying to make when I refered you to www.radiobiafralondon.com. I just wanted you and our people to understand the importance of the media. Right now, Ndigbo have no media and I don't think those Igbo who are anti-Biafra should shy away from that site because of the word 'Biafra'. I will also implore Ndigbo to study the current rants against the COAS, Gen. Ihejirika and note how the northern and Yoruba media are using this to instigate hatred against the Igbo nation. This was thesame thing they did in 1966. I got this info from radiobiafralondon. Do we let these murderers repeat their evil on us again in 21st century? Again, my brothers, this not just about Biafra, rather it's about having a medium through which our people can be informed of impending or imminent danger.

mechionu for mentioning that yoruba hate igbo. yoruba does not hate igbo, biafra hates igbo. we need to make that distinction clear.

if biafra had faced north there will be no adekunle or obasanjo storming your land for blood.

next time face north, not west. west does not use your blood for annual sacrifice. know thine enemy.....looney!

donchris369: Hey berem! I see you running from one thread to another calling Gej clueless, corupt and incompetent. I guess, you were just being brainwashed by all these your yoruba friends that you always follow them in trying to bring down Gej's government without looking at the bigger picture. That is the power of the media and propaganda. They want to annihilate and humiliate the igbos hence trying to bring Gej down because he has done what no other leader could do by making ihejirika an igbo man the coas for the first time since 1966. I urge berem to go and study your history and you will come to understand the high-wired politics being played by the yorubas to bring Gej down to spite the igbos. Their hidden agenda is begining to be exposed. Its all politics. We are waiting for them in 2015, after then in 2019 the igbos will take over. May i ask you berem. Was obasanjo's regime corrupt? Was abdusalami, abacha and ibb regime corrupt? No one talks about them but the media is always awash with Gej this Gej that. May i ask you again berem. Did Gej start oil subsidy and oil theft, vandalsm etc? Ask yourself so many questions. Politics is very complicated and complex, break it down to and fro and you will understand the game. I respect you much cos your always in the politics section unlike the romance section like other women which is rare, but you are not learning the game. In as much as i have my reservations on Gej, i can never be fooled.

what a fvkng retard! we dont need to go through anybody to bring igbo down if thats our objective. obasanjo did more for igbo than gej has done or will ever do for you and we criticized obasanjo far worse that we are doing gej......even though obj is our flesh and blood.

please do not field any candidate in 2015 if you know criticism is bad for your health. if you dont want your sons to face yoruba criticism then dont put them in positions of national leadership. slowpoke!

CyberG: The posters up here are iboz and their response to this issue is not surprising. In 1966, iboz did the same and their people just waived it off. No problem but history has a way of repeating itself. Ihejirika will soon have to leave, even so GEJ may have to leave. What do you think will happen then if you thumb your noses at the rest of the country? Even should no one leave, Ihejirika cannot issue a single command that will be executed if he riles up and loses the respect of the army. Exactly the same thing happened in 1966 when a seargent major told the new commanding officer that none of his command will be executed except on conditions and the rest is history. A word is enough.

well, they will come after the fact and say, as they disowned nzeogwu and ifeajuna, that ihejirika was not speaking for igbo. but as you can see, igbo are speaking for him!

donchris999: I already know my enemies and know how to deal with them. It is my friends/brothers and sisters that have sold their souls to men like gunmi and the yoruba propaganda to annihilate igbos that i shouldnt spare. Now those stupid igbos that have been supporting men like Gumi and the yoruba propaganda can now jump into this thread and affirm their support for them. We will conquer them all. Their propaganda to humiliate us wont work, they should just brace up to the realities on ground that they are nothing but noisemakers. I hope our igbo brothers are beginning to see that the yorubas and hausas dont mean good for us. They are trying to bring Gej down for the sole purpose of humiliating us. They have failed woefully. Everywell meaning igbo should neglect the yoruba propaganda of tagging Gej incompetent, they want to get we the igbos by pulling Gej down, but, it wont work. After Gej's tenure in 2019, we the igbos are taking over. The yorubas have failed us during obj's regime, 8 years without even a single achievement not even one federal university, but, they want to pull Gej down so that we igbos wont get the presidency. Everything i see in the media against Gej are all just jokes and mere propaganda by the yorubas to bring him down spiting we the igbos. They have failed. As for Gumi, he is just a lunatic, so remains ignored.

you big fool.....those same igbos you call sell out are the very ones that you label osu in your land. they have found better homes and welcoming hearts that does not discriminate against their birth status. in yorubaland they have found what it means to be loved. these same ones will be the ones to uproot you from their ancestral land so they can resettle it with new cultures and customs of zero discrimination.

let us know when you are ready to be uprooted and we shall turn them loose on your as*s.

Ikengawo: Enugu: Opposition leaders call for 7-day prayer for Chime

Enugu has really built and exemplary society for it's self. I'm a big fan of the Chime administration and the Chimaroke clique in the PDP.
a governor that doesn't announce projects before they're finished, insists they're the same quality as the rest of the world, gets sick but hands over promptly, and because rule of law is in place the state functions just fine without him meaning they have surpassed the level of 'big man' politics and now things function with full civility. I'm not going to say there's isn't corruption in the state or elements of the usual 'nigerian element' but there is a great deal of political maturity that isn't happening anywhere except Enugu and Lagos

I remember the Mali Empire of ancient west africa, which is argued to be the zenith of west african glory was celebrated in my books because it had a kin g(Abubakar II) that was wondering if the Atlantic ocean had 'another side' like the Niger River. This is a little bit before Christopher Columbus aimed to do the same thing. He sent 1 expedition of nearly 1000 ships and they all sunk except 1 which returned to tell stories of a land where the ocean spins and swallows ships (hurricanes, don't happen in africa but happen in the western hemisphere. He then decided that his crew was simply incompetent and he wanted to lead the next expedition himself. He built even more ships, and set sail with the crew...at first he was gone for years...than decades, than his people realized he was never coming back and moved on.

His achievement and the sign of the greatness of his empire, far more vast and diverse than Nigeria, wasn't the fact that he even took on this expedition though it says a lot. To me the greatest element of this story is the fact that he left the throne unoccupied for decades and everything functioned as it was supposed to. This is the mark of a great king, a great empire and a great people.

I know that even in my own imo state if the governor sneezes wrong everyone will decide the take advantage and it shows our own lack of political maturity. So is the case with the rest of Nigeria, but in Enugu, works are being completed expanded and commissioned, and now the opposition, which in other states will try to even destroy their own home for power, is gathering to show solidarity for their sick governor and son. This makes me proud this morning and lets me know there's hope for Nigeria in the midst of chaos.

grin grin grin. cheesy cheesy grin

ikengawo, happy weekend my brother! i dont want to comment on this one.

donchris369: Why wont you have the guts to call we igbos canned tunas when your yoruba eze have already done so and given you the audacity and go ahead to follow suit. So what do you want us to understand in that stupid analogy? That it is unwise to fight for presidency because we are canne fish? That we are weak and dont have a voice and say in nigeria because we are canned fish and unwise? Mr wise one please explain what igbos being unwise in a canned fish mean?

donchris,

the only reason you all have for calling odumchi a yoruba eze and rebelling against his leadership is simply because he does not display and talk in the brash and brute manner that igbo runs its brand on. truth is savagery is present in every tribe and is not an endowment reserved solely for igbo.

in another 3yrs will mark 50yrs since the war. any igbo born in 1960 and up did not fight that war and yet many of those who were babies during the war are today grandparents or close to being one. thats three generations of zero combat experience or skills. so what bravery is this that you all live on and brand yourself with. some kind of badge of honor for surrendering your land to those you label cowards. shut up about bravery, shut up about war.....start talking about real growth and development in your land. talks of war and bravery will scare people away from you and your land and its not because they are afraid of you or they are coward but nobody who has something to live for will risk loosing it to a useless and worthless fight just so they can earn a badge of bravery.

look......investors coming to west one after the other. GE is coming to Calabar. there is no reason Aba or Onitsha or Owerri could not attract Google or Apple. in the rivalry to be the baddest and the bravest your whole land has been infested with kidnappers and robbers. nobody is weak, everyone is brave. well, why are brave people departing and abandoning their land of the brave to go live in the land of the cowards?

focus on what odumchi is doing for you. calm down and support his efforts. nigeria is not promised but igboland will forever be there for you and your progeny. make it a safe territory and a progressive land for them. land of the rising sun should not just be a propaganda.....you must also live it in your consciousness and bring others to share it with you. talk of war and brute force will kill interest in you and your land.

Ngwakwe: @Nigro_Ntns and other Non Igbos.
If you don't have any meaningful contribution, can you leave and allow the Nairaland Igbos to resolve our issue inhouse.

We know how to get our house in order through different opinions and harnessing them for a consensus.

We can also agree to disagree on minor issues that cannot be a major factor in our national aspiration

what is a meaningful contribution in a town hall congregation, is it only what you would like to hear?

im surprised you say non-igbos should leave. you are sitting in possibly a Yoruba or Hausa town or some other non-igbo town to join this conversation. you should welcome us into your market as we welcome you into our markets.

What makes you think it will end like the rest? FYI there will never be anything like successful coup again in nigeria. What we ll rather have is another civil war!!

Even the of deployments above contained more yorubas than igbos so what's the fuss all about?

coup plotters usually have nothing to live for but everything to die for. there are plenty of soldiers that fit that profile........dissatisfied and disgruntled.

there was a time where the line was diluted and one couldnt tell if the policeman you are reporting robbery to is the same one behind the mask that invaded your home last night. we have that time again now.

the last time we had a coup our phone network and instant on the go communication was not so sophisticated. plotters travelled to distant cities to meet in secrecy and confer. thats too much risk.

we have never done it but a coup can successfully be pulled off without army.

lets not talk about harm coming to ihejirika or Gej. focus on correcting the imbalance in promotions. focus on topic.
Politics / Re: Is It Now Ihejirika's Turn? by NegroNtns(m): 6:03am On Feb 02, 2013
if the pattern of coups in nigeria is anything to go by, then one can safely say if a coup happens now it will be done safe and clean and without ihejirika's involvement because he is trying hard to serve the rest of his years and retire safe.....he is not the type to rock the boat. coup planners usually pickan odd man to put on the leadership seat.

it happened with gowon, obasanjo, buhari, abacha.

if a coup happened today ihejirika could indeed end up a beneficiary. the question now is, will one happen? there are three events to watch closely

1. pib bill
2. bokoharam deal
3. mali contingent return back home

if nothing else, expect some boat rocking when these guys come back from mali. they will quickly learn in mali that while shedding blood fighting terrorists in another country, their own nation is rewarding and paying reparations to excused terrorists at home.

how do you reconcile that? thats going to brew some shyyt.

Eko Ile:

The ignorant illiterate yelling in huge fonts like a mad man said Lagos IGR is 40 billion plus huge allocation, but the real allocation and IGR together is less than 40 billion.

The monthly IGR is 23 billion and the monthly allocation is 10 billion so 23 + 10 = 33 billion.

33 billion x 12 = 396

So the total IGR + Allocation in one year is 396 and this years budget is 497, meaning they still have to borrow to get to the 497 billion budget.

Like I said, many of these clowns are illiterates and Onlylies is still incapable of seeing beyond his tribal nose..

dont mind the eediorts. they are looking at now and fail to see how fashola is envisioning and implementing.a 50yr plan for Lagos already.

his borrowing is not because he doesnt have money to bankroll the projects but because he is marketing lagos to international investment. he wants powerful and diverse multinationals to setup base in the land. he can promote that by going into debt with them. their money is tied in to lagos, their profit is tied in and now they are hooked into cooperating with the governor for a positive influx of market drivers that will position lagos as an alternative to mumbai or rio.

lagos is past the stage. of a state......lagos is a nation within a country.
