My hubby just woke me up with the wonderful news about today's draw. I immediately screamed 'JESUS Mcstan18!!!'

I am extremely happy. Congratulations guys. Xmas came early. Hubby's cousin has been in the pool for a year now with that exact score. The number 439 never looked this sexy.

Our senior oga from the other thread. Where in Lagos are you? I have coached a number of people. I can help you before I leave finally. One on one meetings for a few days. PM me if interested.
PrinceAdeAde:

Am interested but based in Lagos. Can I suggest you do a zoom meeting where you can reach a lot of participants regardless of location. I can help set that up if interested and we can advise the house on the zoom meeting link and time. You can even record and post the video for future refernce. Just my thought

I have said this a million times. It's never worth the heartache.
einsteino:
Hello all,

Been a while. To those of you who work in very organised firms with clearly laid out process for obtaining Reference letters(common with banks) , try as much as possible to avoid having your supervisors sign your work reference letters for you, the convenience you seek could be short lived. I now know of two people( both in the banking sector) who have ran into trouble for this, one of them was for Canada PR and another for Australia PR.

The issue is, when the VO wants to verify such letters, what they do is contact HR directly rather than the supervisor who signed the letter, and HR simply replies saying it didnt come from them. HR even went a step further to issue query to the employee for circumventing due process. If you work in a bank, if your supervisor is to write a reference letter for you, it might be safer for it be on plain paper not your firm's letter head. Or better still contact HR... Its not funny watching both your PR and your Job hanging

Exactly my thoughts. $77,500 is not a bad sum. At least in Nigerian terms. It's not far-fetched that the applicant could have that much in savings.
Ifeoma77:

It's right there is his/her notes where they confirmed that he/she earns $77500 per year, and has been working for 3+ years. They shouldn't be so amazed at that bank balance. IMO sha

Not necessarily clear the contents of your pages. Just ensure that you don't have any contradictory or inflammatory content on there. For example, you can't be saying you worked as an accountant from 2015 to 2018 in Company A and then have a totally different job in another company within the same time period, doing a totally different job role from what you stated on your application. Also, don't have a Facebook post that shows you supporting criminal or terrorist acts. In short, ensure you don't have anything that can implicate you. Shikena.
My GCMS notes stated thus "Online presence showed nothing of concern"

As in ehn. I rolled over mine 3 times while waiting for PPR. No CSE, no ADR. If they had asked, I woulda showed them the new investment certificates. Afterall, money no loss.
TEECANN:

I don't know why folks "over-reason" these things.

If you wish to re-invest your POF, go ahead but don't bother with all these raising CSE to update on POF. İn my humble opinion, it's not necessary and it's a distraction.

If they need an update, they will ask (and I'm sure 90% of the time, they don't ask)

It will end in praise IJN!

And you want to make heaven laidis? 72hrs marinated chicken. Shey you will still boil it after all that time spent, abi I can eat it raw? Mafren, will you bring ordinary ponmo for me before I send DSS after you. Did I ask for chicken?
Ifeoma77:

Trust me na. I am preparing a dish that will make her speak Spanish.
The first step is to marinate the meat for 72 hours...

On their website, go to the tab at the top right of the page labelled 'Services', click on Help & Contact, then under that, you'll see 'Ethiopian Worldwide Contacts' Choose Nigeria and you'll see the account numbers and their email addresses. Ensure you use your booking reference in the narration as well as your name if the space permits more characters. They will send you your ticket shortly. If you don't get it within a few hours, send a mail to the second email (lossup...) with your details and your ticket will be issued immediately.
MissEmmy:
Please i'll appreciate if you can share the link for their account numbers? I cant seem to find it on their website. Thanks.

As if separation is even the better option. If that's what he has decided to do, na im sabi. Every family with their own dynamics abeg.
joo2018:
Everybody has to weigh the cost-benefit. Hustle and get through it together or try for one spouse to make it first at the risk of the marriage.

The system has a lot of cushions to help out. The kids are covered for school: free education. Provinces have a sort of benefit paid to stay-at-home mums. If your family income is too low, you still qualify for some benefits, etc. Hospital costs are covered (though not drugs) etc.

The critical period is before 4-5yrs when kindergarten starts. I know of a couple with young kids. The hubby does shift work. So during the day, the wife goes to work and he babysits. The wife come back in the evening and he goes to work at night. I prefer that to the separation option. At least the family is hustling together.

dont know how to compose this but just my opinion
FOR COUPLES GOING WITH CHILD(REN), please and please try to plan your settling down in canada, e.g the family should do a soft landing, then the wife and the child(ren) could come back to Nigeria to continue working, for like a year plus, maximum a year plus . the husband sh(c)ould go and hustle, familiarize for the family lol. why this? settling down with children can be very daunting, due to high cost of daycare, challenges of renting an apartment, cost of transportation e.t.c. but with one person it is less costly, when the husband is settled fairly, then the family would come join (i have factored in cost of flying). but if the family stays together in CA, proof of funds would be tampered with heavily and might set some folks into panic mode. because one MIGHT not get a dream job immediately. just my two cents. I STAND TO BE CORRECTED
