Udom Emmanuel, governor of Akwa Ibom state, has warned residents of the state against voting for the All Progressives Congress (APC) in 2019.

Dismissing the threat of the APC to take over the oil-rich state, Emmanuel said the party has no genuine agenda for them.

He said none of the APC aspirants has clear-cut manifesto and urged the people to ask them what achievements they had reached in their current public offices to warrant further trust.

A presidential aspirant on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Dr Sule Lamido has accused President Muhammadu Buhari of dehumanizing Nigerians like he did in 1983.

Lamido speaking in Benin City, Edo State on Thursday while addressing delegates ahead of the October National Convention of the party, insisted that Buhari who staged a coup in 1983, removed the political class and clamped them into prisons, “is the same Buhari doing the same thing today, dehumanizing humanity.”

The Lagos State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party on Thursday said it would welcome Gov. Akinwunmi Ambode into its fold, if he decided to dump the All Progressives Congress.

President Muhammadu Buhari on Tuesday said those who defected from the All Progressives Congress (APC) to other political parties were the selfish and weakest members who could not align with the vision of his administration.
