And religions. So don't expect to see the same people with the same
Behaviors and ways of life. In north alone, there are hundreds of tribes
The majority are hausa, fulani and Kanuri these tribes and other few cultures are sahelian. This tribes are overwhelming
Muslims and had been so for more than 500 years. They live in sub-saharan
Africa and have long history intermarriage with Arabs and Berbers from
northern Africa. With time their cultures and behaviors undergo some changes.
They also use to leave some of their cultures that are islamically not acceptable
(Pagan ways) and replace it with that of Arabs. The Hausa language is a Semitic language related to those found in the middle east. Also the Hausalanguage come from the Afro-Asiatic language family. But there dressing is not the same with that of Arabs there is also presence of tuaregs (Berbers) in jigawa. Also their are shuwa Arabs (Arabs) while the remaining are pure Africans like you and mainly Christians. Southern nigerians have nothing aabs or non-african in them (I may be wrong)
