This one does not depend on WLAN, It has to do with wirelessly routing ur broadband connection to ur bluetooth enabled phone using a particular software both installed on ur PC and the phone. If ur phone is a smartphone most likely symbian ure good to go. When im done testing mine ill unleash the whole stuff here 4 y'all to try out. Its kinda cool. |

@bimbor There's nothing new about sharing your internet via bluetooth PAN. I haven't used a Nokia phone in ages, but i'm pretty sure the PC Suite supports internet sharing via bluetooth. I could be wrong though. Here's a guide for doing that stuff with Sony Ericsson phones (P990 and m600i) http://thinkabdul.com/2006/10/21/bluetooth-internet-mrouter-connection-guide-for-sony-ericsson-p990i-m600i/ |

Re: Using Broadband Connection On Your Smartphone! by MrInfo1(m): 6:04am On Jan 14, 2008 |
@ texazzpete Yes m600i does that (without installing another application), what bimbor is trying to do is get a third party application that can share your PC internet with your symbain phone. @ bimbor AM i right? |
Re: Using Broadband Connection On Your Smartphone! by texazzpete(m): 7:59am On Jan 14, 2008 |
bimbor: you stated you were testing something out that wasn't quite ready for release yet. Since it doesn't involve software developed by you, a more reasonable approach would have been to throw it open to all, give regular progress reports and call for more testers. I'm sorry if you feel offended anyway. I'll butt out now. |
