i am sticking to starcomms. while they are not offering out of the world speed, i have not experienced any major problem on their network. imagine , MTN just yanked their gprs, EDGE and 3G off the air without apology, forewarning or regard to customer live subscriptions. 4 days now no gprs in PH.

eehhh am stil wit starcoms but wile using mtn hv not hd much problem as such( maybe because my fone is a good 3G modem )
d only tin is as u reach d download limit u may hv to kip on refreshing d pages

There is a big difference between bit transfer rates and file transfer rates.
We keep mixing them up.

The Rx speed of 600Kb/s you are getting is the bit transfer rate or transmission speed measured in kilobits per second and not the file transfer speed measured in kilobytes per second.

men dats simple arithmetic,,,,,,,,,,d Rx speed u see r in kb/s(kilobits) & u only hv to divide by 8 to get d KB/s(kilobytes) rate (e.g 600kb/s = 75KB/s) wit dis u wud den know d average file transfer speed wich most donwload managers show

ok, my starcomms evdo subscription expired and i just switched to mtn nite package. yea yea 3gig, but wht the hell, i dont do much on the internet any longer (my downloading days are over, until i buy another 500gig HDD lol).

its faster than (yea yea we all know tht)
c'mon payment mode is so cool, just recharge and do ur thing.
u can check how much bandwidth u've used up already by sending 2 to 131.

Guys has any1 tried d new Sierra express card?,,,,,,,,,,i heard its quite good,,,,anybody currently using it?

omo,i paid my bills on the 30th of january and got reconnected on the 5th of february.i thought as usual,starcomms would cut me off at the end of last month but am suprised that they haven't done so.i called customer service and they told me my subscription was due on the 5th.
