I love Suratul Ar-Rahman and shed tears anytime I read or listen to it. Allah talks about His favor on mankind yet they decided to remain ungrateful.

Bismillah Rahman Raheem

ar-Rahman: The Merciful

1 The Beneficent

2 Hath made known the Qur'an.

3 He hath created man.

4 He hath taught him utterance.

5 The sun and the moon are made punctual.

6 The stars and the trees adore.

7 And the sky He hath uplifted; and He hath set the measure,

8 That ye exceed not the measure,

9 But observe the measure strictly, nor fall short thereof.

10 And the earth hath He appointed for (His) creatures,

11 Wherein are fruit and sheathed palm-trees,

12 Husked grain and scented herb.

13 Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny ?

14 He created man of clay like the potter's,

15 And the jinn did He create of smokeless fire.

16 Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny ?

17 Lord of the two Easts, and Lord of the two Wests!

18 Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny ?

19 He hath loosed the two seas. They meet.

20 There is a barrier between them. They encroach not (one upon the other).

21 Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny ?

22 There cometh forth from both of them the pearl and coral-stone.

23 Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny ?

24 His are the ships displayed upon the sea, like banners.

25 Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny ?

26 Everyone that is thereon will pass away;

27 There remaineth but the Countenance of thy Lord of Might and Glory.

28 Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny ?

29 All that are in the heavens and the earth entreat Him. Every day He exerciseth (universal) power.

30 Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny ?

31 We shall dispose of you, O ye two dependents (man and jinn).

32 Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny ?

33 O company of jinn and men, if ye have power to penetrate (all) regions of the heavens and the earth, then penetrate (them)! Ye will never penetrate them save with (Our) sanction.

34 Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny ?

35 There will be sent, against you both, heat of fire and flash of brass, and ye will not escape.

36 Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny ?

37 And when the heaven splitteth asunder and becometh rosy like red hide -

38 Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny ? -

39 On that day neither man nor jinni will be questioned of his sin.

40 Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny ?

41 The guilty will be known by their marks, and will be taken by the forelocks and the feet.

42 Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny ?

43 This is hell which the guilty deny.

44 They go circling round between it and fierce, boiling water.

45 Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny ?

46 But for him who feareth the standing before his Lord there are two gardens.

47 Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny ?

48 Of spreading branches.

49 Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny ?

50 Wherein are two fountains flowing.

51 Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny ?

52 Wherein is every kind of fruit in pairs.

53 Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny ?

54 Reclining upon couches lined with silk brocade, the fruit of both the gardens near to hand.

55 Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny ?

56 Therein are those of modest gaze, whom neither man nor jinni will have touched before them.

57 Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny ?

58 (In beauty) like the jacynth and the coral-stone.

59 Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny ?

60 Is the reward of goodness aught save goodness ?

61 Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny ?

62 And beside them are two other gardens,

63 Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny ?

64 Dark green with foliage.

65 Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny ?

66 Wherein are two abundant springs.

67 Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny ?

68 Wherein is fruit, the date-palm and pomegranate.

69 Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny ?

70 Wherein (are found) the good and beautiful -

71 Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny ? -

72 Fair ones, close-guarded in pavilions -

73 Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny ? -

74 Whom neither man nor jinni will have touched before them -

75 Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny ?

76 Reclining on green cushions and fair carpets.

77 Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny ?

78 Blessed be the name of thy Lord, Mighty and glorious!

Alahu Akbar!

One of my favourites is:

[5.51] O you who believe! do not take the Jews and the Christians for friends; they are friends of each other; and whoever amongst you takes them for a friend, then surely he is one of them; surely Allah does not guide the unjust people.

We can learn many things from the Holy Quran. Alahu Akbar!

I am sure you would make your mission on Islamic section known as we proceed.

Another defensive comment. Why should I be singled out to make known my mission? Why should you assume there's any mission other than what everyone does: discussion? Look, it's a valid Surah/Ayat from the Holy Book; and yes, it's one of my favourites. I don't always deal in the bread-and-butter issues (of course, these are important). If we can't discuss and resolve difficult issues, then we're only lazily massaging each other. And, in this holy month, you've not only engaged in imputing bad motives; you've also moved youself and others to verbal abuse. This is not thawab; would you desist?

From Surah Al Maida, we shall see what leads to the verse 51 of this noble Surah; First it has been established that the Children of Isreal, aka, the jews have been doing evil as they continued to rebel against the guidance and commandment of the Creator. Tis is the reason that they had a line of successive Prophets and Messengers, who came one after the other. In some instances, there were more than one prophet at the same time. The case of father and son prophets, Zakariah and Yahya illustrates this phenomina for those who wish to know. Father and son Daud and Sulaiman is an earlier period example of this, too.

The Christians are an offshoot of the Jews. It will be accepted that the companions, disciples of Jesus, and he Jesus were all from the Children of Isreal, aka Jews. Her is what Allah says in the Al Maida, before we get to the verse 51 of Surah Maida.

The Christians Also Broke their Covenant with Allah and the Repercussion of this Behavior

Allah said, (And from those who call themselves Christians, We took their covenant,) Meaning: `From those who call themselves Christians and followers of `Isa, son of Maryam, while in fact they are not as they claim. We took from them the covenant and pledges that they would follow the Prophet, aid him, honor him and follow his footsteps.' And that they would believe in every Prophet whom Allah sends to the people of the earth. They imitated the Jews and broke the promises and the pledges. This is why Allah said,

From the above, we see that the Christians have relegated in their New Testament and in their general belief that many of the earlier prophets are infact not "prophets," anymore. Instead, they have just striped the office of Prophethood from these noble elects of Allah, and simple call them "Patriachs", etc. Example of these are Adam, Daud, Sulaiman, etc. We in Islam acknowlege every and everyone of them as Prophet (AS).

(but they have abandoned a good part of the Message that was sent to them. So We planted amongst them enmity and hatred till the Day of Resurrectionwink Meaning: `We planted enmity and hatred between them, and they will remain like this until the Day of Resurrection.' Indeed, the numerous Christian sects have always been enemies and adversaries of each other, accusing each other of heresy and cursing each other. Each sect among them excommunicates the other sects and does not allow them entrance to their places of worship. The Monarchist sect accuses the Jacobite sect of heresy, and such is the case with the Nestorians and the Arians. Each sect among them will continue to accuse the other of disbelief and heresy in this life and on the Day when the Witnesses will come forth. Allah then said,

We see that in the present day, and even on Nairaland, the Protestants accuse their forebearer sect, the Catholic of disbelief. And they also accuse and do categorically denies that the Mormons, Jehovah's Witnesses, and some others can not even be christians. Yet they read the same book; the Bible and based their core belief on the same central figures, Jesus and them Paul who used to be Saul The Speech of Allah is true.

(and Allah will inform them of what they used to do.) warning and threatening the Christians because of their lies against Allah and His Messenger and their false claims about Allah, hallowed be He above what they say about Him. The Christians attribute a companion and a son to Allah, while He is the One and Only, the All-Sufficient, Who neither begets nor was He begotten, and there is none like unto Him.

We should know that if a person is a christian, he will have to believe in at least one of thr two dislabelling of Allah (God) and the prophet Isa bin Mariam (Jesus son of Mary) whom they labelled as father and son combination respectively on one hand and compound this false belief with a partnership of cogod in their Trinity doctrine!

(15. O People of the Scripture! Now has come to you Our Messenger explaining to you much of that which you used to hide from the Scripture and passing over much. Indeed, there has come to you from Allah a light and a plain Book.) (16. Wherewith Allah guides all those who seek His Pleasure to ways of peace, and He brings them out of darkness by His permission unto light and guides them to a straight path.)

And yet Allah opens the gateway of His Mercy and Forgiveness to them by admonishing them and providing a leeway and direction of the latest and final form of Messenger and Message for success.

My brothers and sisters in Islam, I am distracted in a good way on way the way to read the tafsir of Maida verse 51, with the miracle that Allah performed in the hands of Joshua, one of the leaders of the children of israel, after the passing away of nabiullah Seyidina Musa (AS). This miracle was on the occasion of the Victory over Jerusalem which took place on Friday. This is a good indication that Qur'an stands alone, in purity and Authorship from all other books. We will see that there is no place in the Bible, both old and new and even psalm that this even and the miracle of it is clearly defined. Place pay attention to the condition ofthe SUN!

Conquering Jerusalem

Allah's statement, (for forty yearswink defines, (in distraction they will wander through the land.) When these years ended, Yuwsha` bin Nun led those who remained among them and the second generation, and laid siege to Jerusalem, conquering it on a Friday afternoon. When the sun was about to set and Yuwsha` feared that the Sabbath would begin, he said (to the sun), "You are commanded and I am commanded, as well. O Allah! Make it stop setting for me.'' Allah made the sun stop setting until Yuwsha` bin Nun conquered Jerusalem.

Next, Allah commanded Yuwsha` to order the Children of Israel to enter Jerusalem from its gate while bowing and saying Hittah, meaning, `remove our sins.' Yet, they changed what they were commanded and entered it while dragging themselves on their behinds and saying, `Habbah (a seed) in Sha`rah (a hair).'' We mentioned all of this in the Tafsir of Surat Al-Baqarah. Ibn Abi Hatim recorded that Ibn `Abbas commented,

and the Jews conquered Jerusalem and found wealth unseen before. They wanted to let the fire consume the booty, but the fire would not do that. Yuwsha` said, `Some of you have committed theft from the booty.' So he summoned the twelve leaders of the twelve tribes and took the pledge from them. Then, the hand of one of them became stuck to the hand of Yuwsha` and Yuwsha` said, `You committed the theft, so bring it forth.' So, that man brought a cow's head made of gold with two eyes made of precious stones and a set of teeth made of pearls. When Yuwsha` added it to the booty, the fire consumed it, as they were prohibited to keep the booty.'' There is evidence supporting all of this in the Sahih.

The Prohibition of Taking the Jews, Christians and Enemies of Islam as Friends

Allah forbids His believing servants from having Jews and Christians as friends, because they are the enemies of Islam and its people, may Allah curse them. Allah then states that they are friends of each other and He gives a warning threat to those who do this, (And if any among you befriends them, then surely he is one of them.) Ibn Abi Hatim recorded that `Umar ordered Abu Musa Al-Ash`ari to send him on one sheet of balance the count of what he took in and what he spent.

Abu Musa then had a Christian scribe, and he was able to comply with `Umar's demand. `Umar liked what he saw and exclaimed, "This scribe is proficient. Would you read in the Masjid a letter that came to us from Ash-Sham'' Abu Musa said, `He cannot.'' `Umar said, "Is he not pure'' Abu Musa said, "No, but he is Christian.'' Abu Musa said, "So `Umar admonished me and poked my thigh (with his finger), saying, `Drive him out (from Al-Madinah).' He then recited,

(O you who believe! Take not the Jews and the Christians as friends, )'' Then he reported that `Abdullah bin `Utbah said, "Let one of you beware that he might be a Jew or a Christian, while unaware.'' The narrator of this statement said, "We thought that he was referring to the Ayah, (O you who believe! Take not the Jews and the Christians as friends, )'' Allah said, (And you see those in whose hearts there is a disease, ) A disease of doubt, hesitation and hypocrisy. (they hurry to their friendship,) meaning, they rush to offer them their friendship and allegiances in secret and in public, (saying: "We fear lest some misfortune of a disaster may befall us."wink They thus offer this excuse for their friendship and allegiances to the disbelievers, saying that they fear that the disbelievers might defeat the Muslims, so they want to be in favor with the Jews and Christians, to use this favor for their benefit in that eventuality! Allah replied,

(Perhaps Allah may bring a victory, ) referring to the conquering of Makkah, according to As-Suddi. (or a decision according to His will) requiring the Jews and Christians to pay the Jizyah, as As-Suddi stated, (Then they will become) meaning, the hypocrites who gave their friendship to the Jews and Christians, will become, (for what they have been keeping as a secret in themselves) of allegiances, (regretful,) for their friendship with the Jews and Christians which did not benefit them or protect them from any harm.

Rather, it was nothing but harm, as Allah exposed their true reality to His faithful servants in this life, although they tried to conceal it. When the signs that exposed their hypocrisy were compiled against them, their matter became clear to Allah's faithful servants. So the believers were amazed at these hypocrites who pretended to be believers, swearing to their faithfulness, yet their claims were all lies and deceit. This is why Allah said,

(And those who believe will say, "Are these the men who swore their strongest oaths by Allah that they were with you'' All that they did has been in vain, and they have become the losers.)

(54. O you who believe! Whoever from among you turns back from his religion (Islam), Allah will bring a people whom He will love and they will love Him; humble towards the believers, stern towards the disbelievers, fighting in the way of Allah, and never fearing the blame of the blamers. That is the grace of Allah which He bestows on whom He wills. And Allah is All-Sufficient for His creatures' needs, All-Knower.) (55. Verily, your Protector is Allah, His Messenger, and the believers, those who perform the Salah, and give Zakah, and they bow down.) (56. And whosoever takes Allah, His Messenger, and those who have believed, as protectors, then the party of Allah will be the victorious.)

And in this nairaland community, we have heard of"testimonie," of former muslims, who said with they used to be outwardly, to the people "great defenders of Islam." In that same period of time, they used to make statement of lies about islam and used to be involved in acts of evilness, Fahishah, eg fornications, etc. And in time Allah the Almighty exposes them by setting them up in a way that in a short time, they were exposed and led away from Islam. We can safely claim now, that when these people were in Islam, they were not truly muslims. Rather they were hypocrites. The conditions of the hypocrites are defined in many verses of the Qur'an. Verses 8 and 9 define them as below:

The Hypocrites

We mentioned that four Ayat in the beginning of Surat Al-Baqarah described the believers. The two last Ayat (2:6-7) describe the disbelievers. Afterwards, Allah begins to describe the hypocrites who show belief and hide disbelief. Since the matter of the hypocrites is vague and many people do not realize their true reality, Allah mentioned their description in detail. Each of the characteristics that Allah used to described them with is a type of hypocrisy itself. Allah revealed Surat Bara'ah (chapter 9) and Surat Al-Munafiqun (chapter 63) about the hypocrites. He also mentioned the hypocrites in Surat An-Nur (24) and other Surahs, so that their description would be known and their ways and errors could be avoided. Allah said,

(8. And of mankind, there are some who say: "We believe in Allah and the Last Day'' while in fact they do not believe). (9. They try to deceive Allah and those who believe, while they only deceive themselves, and perceive (it) not!)

Fellow Nairalanders,

Pardon me for I am not a Moslem but here to convey something to everybody.

I feel that it is appropriate for me to tell you something very important, regarding my most favourite Surat in the Qu'ran.  This story of mine has got a lot to do with this thread.  So, please be patient and read on.

I am a Christian by birth but I've also got a Moslem name which I changed to, voluntarily, by deed poll at a Solicitor's in Burnley (UK), back in 1990.  I liked the name, hence changed to it.  The Moslem name had ever since, stuck with me, in addition to my Christian name.  I now answer to both names.

I had never stepped into a Mosque either, in all my life, until just a few days ago.  I can not read the Qu'ran, neither can I read Arabic.  I originate from the Niger Delta but live abroad and have done so for many, many years.

Here's my story and how the Surat AYAT-AL KURSI has protected me from jinns (ghosts) in my house.  I live alone in my house but do have a girlfriend.  I've lived in this house for many years.

Back in 2004, I was trying to print a document from a website on the Internet.  The document got printed but I was amazed to find another document that also got printed at the same time.  The document had strange characters on it that I had never ever, seen before.  However, the printer had deciphered the strange characters and made sense of it such that I could read the message on it.

On seeing this, I began to cry, thinking that perhaps my late mum who died when I was a kid was trying to make contact with me.  Needless to say, I showed the strange document to my friends here in the UK as well told my family and friends in the USA and Canada.  This was how I left it and kept the document in my briefcase.

A week or so later, I was trying to print a document, this time, not from the Internet, but a document that I had just written.  I was very much aware of the document that got printed previously so, was a bit nervous this time.  Anyway, the printer started printing so, I looked towards the printer to see the document that was being printed.  Surprisingly, the same strange document was being printed again!  I then took a look at my print spool, and to my utter surprise, the original document that I wanted to print had been paused.  Yes, someone had put a tick on the 'pause' box.  I never ever did it - all I wanted was to print my document so simply clicked 'print', as you would.  I didn't know where that pause came from because I didn't do it.

Anyway, I swiftly called my mate Dave, and told him about it.  He was shocked, saying that it was weired.  I also told other friends of mine and family members.  My Indian friend in Canada was also amazed.  Anyway, that was that.  I just filed both documents in a folder and left them in my briefcase.  I've still got those two strange documents up 'til now.

One thing I'll have to say is that I never, ever get scared because I have never harmed anybody in my life.  I couldn't see the reason as to why I should be scared.  Moreover, this was a new house that I bought and had lived there from day one.  The house is built on an old mill in a small private estate.  Anyway, I just carried on with my usual care-free life.  Happy-go-lucky as ever, with no cares in the world.

After these two events, things started to manifest themselves in my house, most noticeably late last year.  Sometimes, as I got up from bed to go to the toilet, I could hear the door handle in my bedroom creak, as if someone was opening the door for me.  The door never got opened but it was definitely making noise as though, someone was trying to open the door.  I could also hear very loud bangs in the third bedroom which is my office, sometimes, on the landing as well.  The dishes (plates) in the kitchen would also clatter at times.

Early this year, I noticed that the toilet started to smell badly even though I hadn't been to the toilet.  There is no window in my toilet, only an expel-air that starts off, the moment you switch on the toilet light.  It had always diffused the smell after going to the loo.

The smell from the toilet was over-powering as you walked up the stairs.  This was happening, even though I hadn't been to the toilet, and with the toilet doors open.  I just couldn't understand where the smell was coming from.  I tried all forms of toilet freshners but the smell was always there.  Anyway, I just ignored it for a bit but wasn't happy about it because I couldn't understand where it was coming from.

Things came to a head mid-March of this year.  Yes, things began to manifest themselves properly to me in March.  You see, I was working in my kitchen with the earphones of my mobile phone plugged into my ears and listening to my favourite music.  This was in the afternoon.

All of a sudden, I heard a wolf whistle in my right ear! - a wolf whistle is the name given to the type of whistling that a guy does when he sees a beautiful girl that's walking down the road, if you see what I mean.  The whistling was very faint the first time I heard it.  Within a second or so, I heard the whistling again, but much louder, this time.  Typical of me, I ignored it but was amazed, to say the least.  In fact, I smiled a bit because, as I said before, I never get frightened of such things being that I had never harmed anybody in all my life.  I just couldn't see why I should be scared.

The biggest amazement of my life occured on the 2nd of April, this year, at around 2.15 pm.  As usual, I was working in my kitchen, whilst listening to music from my mobile phone with the earphones on.  All of a sudden, the music stopped and a male voice rang out in my right ear, saying:

'No more sound'

I was shocked, utterly shocked, to say the least.  I quickly pulled out the earphone from my right ear, looked at it and then plugged it back into my right ear and screamed out loudly, saying:

'Go away'

This was the end of it for me because ever since that day, I refused to listen to music in my mobile phone as I didn't want to go through that experience again.

Anyway, that evening, I sought help by going to a Nigerian gentleman whom I consider to be my Godfather.  He then rang up a priestess who also happens to be Nigerian but actually lives in London.  She then prayed for me over the phone and asked me never to be scared.  Both of them gave me passages in the Bible to read.

Needless to say, I didn't even have a Bible so, went and bought one from the bookshop.  I then began to read the specific passages that were recommended to me - Psalm 3:1, 23:1, 25.1, 144:1, Numbers 14:1, Matthew 6:9.  Some of the above verses were ones that I got from the Internet.  I particularly had to memorise 'The Lord's Prayer' because I had forgotten it from when I got taught about the Bible as a kid, back in Nigeria.

I felt comfortable and happy to know that I was reciting those verses in the Bible before going to bed and in the mornings as I woke up.  I kept the Bible under my pillow.  I had also learnt how to make Holy Water (thanks to the Internet and Youtube) and was using it to sprinkle my house.

I felt that the presence in the house wasn't strong anymore.  A lot of the activities such as the loud bangings on the floorboards upstairs (this used to be quite frequent at times), the loud noise on the landing, as well as plates clattering in the kitchen, all seemed to have subsided.

However, I still felt that there was some presence in the house.  I could feel it, although I can swear that nobody ever touched me at night or anything like that.  I was always able to sleep peacefully, without any harm, I must say.

Still, I knew that things weren't quite right.  I knew it.  So, I tried other forms of protection recommended on the Internet, such as smudging with sage, placing sea salt in each room, burning incense in the house, placing nails on my window sills, placing a knife on top of each doorway and so on.

Even then, things would quieten down for a bit and start all over again.  One night, I was working until 12 midnight and just as I was about to pack up and go upstairs to bed, I heard this almighty bang on the kitchen work-top.  A massive bang I must say.  I looked around and swore, to somehow, find out who it was that was doing this and what they wanted from me, saying that I never invited any of them into my house and that they shouldn't be there without my invitation, in the first place.

Anyway, I wasn't fazed but got some crosses from my friend who is a Catholic and lives in Huddersfield.  He advised me to hang the crosses in all the bedrooms, kitchen, lounge and toilet, which I did.

After this, everything seemed to have gotten quiet for a while (no more strange smell from the toilet either) but I just couldn't relax because, sometimes, I felt that I was being watched in the toilet.  I even took a photograph of my toilet and seemed to notice something like a blue shower curtain in the corner of the toilet, reflecting on the tiles.  By the way, I haven't got a shower in my bathroom.  So, anyway, I left it at that.

One day, I decided to speak to my Asian friends about it.  These guys are Moslems (some are possibly Hindus) and there's a Mosque that's not too far from my house - about a mile away, if that.  They advised me to go and see the Imam in the Mosque and that he would help me.  I was asked to take my shoes off before going into the Mosque.  Luckily, one of them offered to take me there, so, off we went, just over a week ago.

When we got to the Mosque, my guide went to pray whilst I stood there waiting for him.  Anyway, I decided to ask someone as to whether I could possibly see the Imam.  I was then advised to wait until after the prayers.  I waited and eventually, the Imam was told about me so, I went up to him as he came to the lobby.  I then told him about my problems, specifically mentioning the presence of 'jinn' in my house and the type of things that I had noticed over a period of time.

Unfortunately, the Imam told me that he couldn't help me because he hadn't had such an experience in the past.  How so disappointed I was!  So, so disappointed because I felt that the Imam would have been able to help me, going by what my Moslem friends told me.

Anyway, with that disappointment, I decided to do some research on the Internet and luckily found out about Al-Baqarah:255, from an online Moslem website.

There, I read that the Ayat-Al Kursti is the most powerful verse in the Qu'ran.  I also learnt a lot about jinns there.  I then went off to download some questions and answers given on that website.  In some of the answers, they also recommended calling the name 'Bismillah' if faced with specific problems.

I also went to Youtube to view video clips of Ayat-Al Kursti and indeed, downloaded some of the video clips to my computer, from where I transferred them to my mobile phone.

Praise be to Allah, my problems with jinns (ghosts) completely stopped, the moment I started playing 'Ayat-Al Kursti' both on my computer and mobile phone.  I listen to it in the morning and at night, just before going to bed.  Over time, I hope to memorise and recite it.

EVERYTHING HAS STOPPED!  I MEAN EVERYTHING AND THERE'S NO MORE JINN IN MY HOUSE.  NO MORE!!  THANKS BE TO ALLAH.

Fellow Nigerians, please remember this story of mine and never forget to memorise the Ayat-al Kursti.  Personally, I will always play/recite it in my house as long as I live.  There's no more jinn in my house and everything is peaceful now.

PRAISE BE TO ALLAH.

Salam/Shalom/Peace

I felt what you went through but was never moved nor surprised because all that happened to you was the work of Jinn. I mentioned partly about Jinn in one of threads and said that I would create a thread on the life of Jinn and Angels Insha Allah if time permits

Well the jinn is a creation like human being. They eat, worship and produce like we do hence Allah said He didnt create man and Jinn except to worship him.

Of Allah's creation, it is only man and Jinn He gave freedom to. The Jinn is of various size and shape. We have believers and non believers among them. We have believers that move with Human beings and non believer alike. There are Jinn used by Iblis (Satan) who happened to be their leader. The Jinn has power to turn to whatever they feel like and travel like lightening and you would get clearer if you could lay your hands on the story of Sulaimon/Solomon.

We have wicked ones among them and peace, religious ones among them too.

Jinn fall in love with human beings and would always protect the person be it man or woman and would do anything to win the person.

Some of the so called religious leaders use the Jinn to accomplish their aims. They send them on errands etc

Now to your post, like I said, Jinn live with human being and your story is not that different in the sense that you don't worship nor call the name of God in your house and you must have done something to anger the Jinn hence their disturbing you.

There was a story about a lady called Mariam that probably offended the Jinn. The Jinn made life miserable for her but Alhamdulillah, she is now delivered.

There is a prayer called 'Ruqiah' in which you can do for any Jinn possessed person BUT YOU MUST BE VERY STRONG before you could do that or better still, get the tapes and play it most times in your house, office and anywhere you have the opportunity of doing that and the Jinn would flee from you.

Maa Alah continue to protect you.

@Muslims

Alhamdulillah for being a Muslim and it seems most of us do not know what Allah done for us by being a MUSLIM. WE HAVE the Quran, different supplications for their issues.

May Allah continue to guide us and make us not unbelievers

Hi Babs,

Very many THANKS for your input.  I'm most grateful.

Yeah, you are right, I never ever used to mention God's name in my house, let alone go to Church to pray.  Never been to Church in all the years that I've lived in the UK.  I'm just an easy-going, care-free person that's been spoilt by Western decadence.

One thing though, I've always, always shown a lot of kindness to people, so maybe that's one thing that's going in my favour.

I'll try and get an mp3 version or video clip of the prayer 'Ruqiah' that you mentioned.  I'll do anything for the jinns never to come back because I get distressed by the whole experience.  I have never done any harm to anybody in my life, never, so, why should they manifest themselves to me?  I didn't do anything to invite them into my house either - I wouldn't dare!  I just don't understand.

I only ever used to call my mum (and grandma's) name in the house because I miss them and wished that they were alive and living with me here, in my house.  You know how it is - you miss your mum terribly especially if she died whilst you were a kid and so, never got to know her.  Still, life goes on.

I only ask for Allah's protection because He is the Creator and knows best.

Hadith - Tirmidhi #2173, Narrated Jubayr ibn Nufayr [Darimi transmitted it in mursal form].

Allah's Messenger said, "Allah finished Surat al-Baqarah with two verses which I have been given from His treasure which is under the Throne; so learn them and teach them to your womenfolk, for they are a blessing, a means of a approach (to Allah) and a supplication."

Ibn Taimiya, Majmu, vol. 19, p. 55
"The numerous people who have experienced these events all confirm the amazing effectiveness of this verse in warding off jinn and breaking their spells.
It [editor's note: ayat al-Kursi] has a great effect in repelling devils from humans, from the possessed and from those picked out by jinn, such as wrongdoers, people with bad tempers, those who follow their desires and lusts, musicians and those who become ecstatic through whistling and clapping. If these verses are read over them with sincerity to Allah, the jinn will leave. It will put an end to the mirages created by the jinn. It will also disclose the falseness of those, the brothers of the jinn, who perform miraculous acts. The jinn inspire their devotees with some knowledge that the ignorant think are miracles that Allah grants His pious servants. In fact, they are simply Shaytaan's acts of deception over his devotees, of those whom have earned Allah's wrath and those who have gone astray."

Hadith - Tirmidhi #2145, Narrated An-Nu'man ibn Bashir
Allah's Messenger said, "Two thousand years before creating the heavens and the Earth, Allah inscribed a book of which He sent down two verses with which He concluded surat al-Baqarah. The Devil will not come near a house in which they are recited three nights."
[Tirmidhi and Darimi transmitted it, Tirmidhi saying this is a gharib tradition.]

Hi Babs,
Very many THANKS for your input. I'm most grateful.

You are welcome. What are friends for? cheesy

Please try to make amends since you have known the cause partly.

One thing though, I've always, always shown a lot of kindness to people, so maybe that's one thing that's going in my favour.

Well, it may be but want you to know that its not as a result of that because Allah would always protect whosoever He wishes to regardless of your belief. When Allah created Adam and told Iblis (leader of the Jinn) to prostrate, Iblis said no 'that how could he prostrate to a man you created from clay whereas He created him from smoking fire'. He disobeyed Allah and Allah cursed him till the Day. Iblis, having saw what happened felt that ALLAH cursed him because of a man created from clay and told Allah to grant him a respite (never to die till judgement day) and Allah granted him ad he said that ' Allah punished him as a result of not prostrating for man, he would mislead them and make them ungrateful and rather than being grateful to Allah, the creator, man would always give glory to creation like we are seeing here and there. Iblis said that he would mislead them and make them go astray except those that are guided (the slaves, Muslims). Allah then told him that he would not be able to lead astray His slaves (Muslims) except polytheists, evildoers etc. Read about this in Quran 15 v 26 - 42. You can also read about Solomon/Sulaimon in Quran 38 v 35-39

I'll try and get an mp3 version or video clip of the prayer 'Ruqiah' that you mentioned. I'll do anything for the jinns never to come back because I get distressed by the whole experience. You never can tell. You mght have unknowingly stepped on toes. They are invisile creatures in which you must have done something to tem unnoticed. You have to be prayerful and do away with your lifestyles and try to make amends where necessary.

I only ever used to call my mum (and grandma's) name in the house because I miss them and wished that they were alive and living with me here, in my house. You know how it is - you miss your mum terribly especially if she died whilst you were a kid and so, never got to know her. Still, life goes on.

It is a painful experience but like you said life goes on. Death is the most certain thing but what matter most is how prepared are we when it comes and what would our fate be right from when someone dies and was laid in his house (grave) lonely ad the angels come asking him questions

1. who is your God?
2. What is your religion?
3. What do you know about prophet Muhammad (saw).

It is only when one is able to answer these satisfactorily that he would escape the punishment in the grave.

If a muslim dies, when laid in the grave, a handsome man would enter his chest and keep him company till the angels would come and when they come, they would see the handsome man there and would leave saying that the man has already known their answers. This handsome man would be the Quran.

Let me stop here but you learn more here

May Allah continue to protect you and you could also add Quran chapter 113 and 114

I thought Ayat-Al Kursti and Ayatul Kursir were one and the same thing or are they not?  I've been playing Ayat-Al Kursti in the house and on my mobile phone and it's driven out all the jinns, as I reported previously.

Thanks again.

Good day brother and I hope you are doing great. The two are the same. Someone might have mistyped the name giving a sort of different spelling but it mean the same thing.

Peace

Since you acknowledge that Allah's verse protected you, why don't you join the religion of Allah? That will be a great option. I said once on nairaland that I used to listen to music, I stopped eventually and whenever I listen now, I don't feel comfortable. It's just like I feel very dizzy. However, the Koran as a whole enhances concentration and thoughtfulness. Listening to something with all kind of harmonic sounds disturbs in mind. But regular music listeners wont acknowledge that, in fact they don't like listening to the Koran. So one is of God the other, Satans.
