OBAMA! OBAMA!! OBAMA!!!, a frend of mine also from naija updated me on the recent dev. with the USA VISA issues, d point is dat naija guys r fedup with d unsatisfactory routines and reports poppin out frm US embassy each time they try to apply. Any_Which_Way_Is_Always_A_Way. Now, the expo is that if u've applied b4 and was bounced 4 one particular reason, try to amend that very problm nd be specific abt it, afterwards seek 4 another appointment, i can assure u 85% of getting yo visa. Note: It doesnt matter if yo passport was stamped b4, use same passport especially now that they no more stamp passports. |

k, chief. i did GRE and twas very alryt. since you wanna do it for embassy purpose, then you are cool i.e. you can study less hard heard doing toefl puts u in a good stead at the embassy so I took that too. you may want to if you havent taken it yet. so the metropolitan uni accepts candidates without standardized test? i ll check them out at once.could be just what some of my people need, u know people dont wanna write no exams again my no is 080835752085 u may hit me i u need some materials (GRE) cheers |

Re: General U.S.A (student) Visa Enquiries by gongoaso1: 10:08pm On Mar 14, 2009 |
@alex406 hmn, lets hope its is not late to apply for fall (sept) admissions especially if you need or require financial aidfrom the school, if thats when you have in mind. you need to write gre/gmat and then most likely toefl as this is almost always required of international applicants, you need a statement ofpurpose and finally two or three reference letters (academic referees are usually preferred) and finally pay some application fees if you want to apply , u definitely ned to start now, good luck @femilangy, as soon as i have the form I20, i ll book an appointment date .i hear you can only apply 120 days to start of your programme. thanks for the info on the requirements, walahi i fit open consultancy now 2 Likes |

Have you been denied visa application at the United States embassy, Canadian embassy, South African and other shengen country’s embassy in Nigeria? Well you might have been denied because of several reasons you failed to consider. Getting a visa in any for any of the above countries is not difficult as it seems to be and even though people tend to say that if you apply as a student you stand a lot of chances in getting your visa but we all know that theses embassy officials are very tricky and unpredictable when it comes to issuance of visa. The most secured way to get visa apart from a business travel option is by applying as a government official or partner We have been monitoring posts and comments on this forum, talked to a lot of visa agents and their promises all though most of them have kept their promises and actually gotten the visa for people, still majority still find it difficult in getting a visa for united states, Canada and the major shengen countries without asking people to apply for school first or some hotel reservation online and stuff like that. The truth is that getting a visa is easy if only you have government backing, and the government backing we are talking about here is full documentation and verification so the visa usually issued here is business/courtesy which is better than a visiting visa because of the limitations that accompany a visiting/family visa. Document procurement should not be fake because nobody will give you a visa because the embassy will definitely verify especially when the government is involved. Are we offering anything? Yes we are! We are offering you a guaranteed visa for America, Canada, south Africa, shengen and any other worthwhile country excluding UK and Dublin because we no longer have government back up for those countries and better still if you apply as a student in UK or Dublin you might stand a chance of getting a student visa. We give 98 %( we don’t like to overstate our promises, but visa is easy to get from us) assurance for our visa because they are backed up by a state government in the south west (not Lagos state government) Please note that all the visa applications are with appearance since it is from the government appearance is necessary and don’t be afraid because you will be given it is just a formality and precaution against world terrorism. Do you need more information or enquiry? Don’t hesitate to call. Please no text messages flash or call me backs. It is advised that you call with your personal phone number and not a business center so that if we notice a missed call we could get back to you but not immediately. @alex406 some schools do waive toefl for naija students. u will have to find out if the school you have in mind does that else u take it asap to the result comes out quickly too (takes like two weeks to see your results and another two weeks for the score to be reported to the school). g'luck @femilangy i ll tryt o mail you the materials asap. i ll need fast internet as some of the files are large. as per accomodation, methinks its best to take the schools accomodation, atleast thats what am planning. |
Re: General U.S.A (student) Visa Enquiries by Nobody: 8:36am On Mar 24, 2009 |

@ Topic This is a very welcome development.I have been watching out for something like this on NL.I guess the reason y some ppl hoard information on US visas is becos of they dont want 'too' many naija ppl that will 'spoil' naija's name there. But there are genuine ppl with genuine intentions of travelling to US. It will really be appreciated if more ppl contribute to this thread, @femilangy , gongo aso and alex 406 Thanks for keeping the thread alive, i have a brother who plans to travel by fall for his masters. He has done TOEFL and GRE.He has been given admission to a school already(not after alot of stress and time). The school didnt even use his GRE for his admission because it wasnt required. But he is yet to get his 1-20 form , which should be sent to him soon. The main thing now is the embassy, what are the necessary documents one need to present to them ?what are the likely questions to be asked during the interview? These and lots more are the questions we would like answered on this thread, God Bless the ppl with information and that are ready to share, ! |
Re: General U.S.A (student) Visa Enquiries by rachiwise(f): 12:16pm On Mar 24, 2009 |
femilangy: @Femilangy U'l get an unofficial report on ur test day and get the official one 15 working days later.i.e 3 weeks. The test score will also be sent to ur four selected schools by the exam body(ETS).But u can order for ur test scores to be sent to more schools for a fee. Can we get more info on US visa? |
Re: General U.S.A (student) Visa Enquiries by Nobody: 2:03pm On Mar 24, 2009 |
@ rashywise, thanks for the information. Concerning likely interview questions,i have a friend that got his visa some months ago and told me his questions went like this Consular:How did u come about this skol? My friend: came about it on the internet Consular:Why did u choose this course and skol? My friend:A progression in my career aspiration,(shows him some offer he got from some oda skol in the US)and states this particular skol fits his career aspirations. ConsularAfter looking through is i-20 form) says did u write any form of standardized test? My friend:yeah GMAT (showed him unofficial test result copy) Consular: What has he ben doing since he left the university My friend: Tells him about his employment history(my friend has changed jobs about 3 times in 3 years),hand him a copy of his resume and bank-statements(his and sponsors) Consular:After careful considerations, hand him a blue docket, asks him to come the next Tuesday by 5pm for his visa. My friend:*smiles* gets outside the embassy and screamssssssssssssssss, LOL anyway thats his story, some other applicants story might be different.so lets share other stories so we can be prepared for likely questions cheers 1 Like 1 Share |

hi guys femi thanks for the 'tale'.in fact it is very similar to the ones i heard concerning obtaining a US student visa. wonder y pple make much fuss then if its this easy, hope ours will be very positive too. got a coupla files on US student visa interviews sent to me by a nairalander. i ll attach it to this post. hope we gain something from it. @femilangy the software does not run on vista, only xp or a lesser operating system. u may also want to disable your antivirus while installing it (it is an adware and many antivirus may see it as a virus). its what i used for the verbal part of the GRE and trust me, it rocked!!! @rachiwise welcome aboard wat sch is your bro looking @ cheers 2 Likes 4 Shares |
