If anybody in the NFF is reading or anyone has access to the morons, here is a simple policy that would limit age discrepancy cheating by Nigerians in age-grade competitions.

So that we do not keep on presenting fathers as 16 years old to the world and letting them trash real schoolboys to boost our national pride.

Anyone joining any of the age-grade national team must produce:

- A original passport or birth certificate that carries an issuing date of not less than 10 years
- For the U-17, must be currently errolled and attending a secondary school and name 10 classmates in their application forms
- For others (U-20 and U-23) must state what institution they are in and provide their first SSCE results and which secondary school they attended with dates and name 10 classmates
- Must be willing to have his photograph taken and sign a declaration that he is providing genuine documents before any checks are undertaken, and is aware providing false document is a criminal offense that carries a jail term
- Must list all the clubs and tournamentss they have played for and at what age and with what name (this should also be a declaration form that can lead to arrest), these should be all cross-checked against all tournaments and club registration for the last 15 years
- Must state their marital status and if they have any offsprings (this should also be a declaration form that can lead to arrest)
- List their immediate siblings with their respective ages
- Pass an MRI scan

It must be enforced that you cannot play for the U-17 if:

- You provided identification document (e.g. passport is less than 10 years) from issued date and you are not in or have completed secondary school.
- You are in school and provide a document less that 10 years old from issuing date and your school principal and vice pricpal are not willing to sign a declaration that they are liable to arrest if your enrolment is false
- You are not in school due to poverty or other reasons and provide less than 10 years old, then you should have never played for more than one season in any team in the top 2 divisions if you are 16 or 17, and zero if under 16

It must be enforced that you cannot play for the U-20 if:

- Your provided identification document (e.g. passport is less than 10 years) from issued date and you have completed secondary school before the age of 16.
- You are in school and provide a document less that 10 years old from issuing date and your school principal and vice pricpal are not willing to sign a declaration that they are liable to arrest if your enrolment is false
- You are not in school due to poverty or other reasons and provide less than 10 years old, then you should have never played for more than four seasons in any team in the top 2 divisions if you are 19 or 20, three if 18, two if 17, one if 16, zero under 16

this is long story.
the solution is simple; CATCH THEM YOUNG !!!

each local/govt state should have under 10,13,16,20 teams with proper records etc.

YSFON was doing this many years ago,but as per the whole nigerian system everything is dead now !

In 1984 my school Eko Boys played Victory Sec in the Principal Cup, we lost 2-0 the scorer of both goals Roberto a Bendel Insurance player, his shot was so power he was hitting them from ridiculous distance, 2 years later against Igbobi College at Onikan Stadium they had players playing for Stationary Stores the scorer scored an overhead kick from near the touchline, Ijebu Ode Grammar school had most of the players playing for Obanta United because the trained in their compound, am sorry but its a tall order,

The South American Countries like Brazil, Argentina and others were the one that started the age cheating stuff and it has now taken over EU
I know Africans are somewhat exaggerating when it comes to cutting down their ages in sport competition. but you can't just blame them what so ever.

How has it taken over EU?
