Windows Error "i Need Help" by WafiJoe(m): 9:52am On Feb 20, 2010
I have a problem with my system, if i boot my pc, it will come up to windows level, display all desktop icons (i mean my files on desktop), after that the system will freeze. Windows will then report an error message
"The exception unknown software exeption (0xCOOOOOd) occurred in the applicational locatin ox78138a8c; click 'ok' to terminate the programme, click on 'cancel' to debug the programme".
When I click on 'ok', the desktop icon will disappear, and the system will be on a stand still (not responding). Then the only option is to remove power because windows will not even been able to shut down.
While when I click on 'debug', Windows will report that "the instruction at 0x78138a8c reference memory at 0x78138a8c. So if i click on ok windows will report that "the memory could not be written (tpsrv.exe)"

It looks like you have spyware/virus infection on the computer. What is the OS on the computer? If you can enter safe mode your problem is solved, if not its more technical. As soon you switch on the comp. try pressing F8 key continuously to go into safe mode. Let's knw if you are able to get in.
Re: Windows Error "i Need Help" by WafiJoe(m): 12:31pm On Feb 20, 2010
ok, thanks, i will try that, but if i get into safe mode, what am i gon do from there?
Re: Windows Error "i Need Help" by denzel2009: 12:41pm On Feb 20, 2010
You then use the arrow keys to move to Safemode with networking i.e if you can connect to internet on the comp.

Then, you download this

http://www.filehippo.com/download_malwarebytes_anti_malware/

Scan the computer with it and your problem is solved.

or if you cannot connect to internet on the infected computer, you have to use another computer to download and burn the .iso image of this

http://www.free-av.com/en/products/12/avira_antivir_rescue_system.html

and boot your system with it.

Its quite easy.

Ahh sorry when you burn cds, there are some cd burning software that will burn a cd in such a way that it will be able to boot computers that is what is called .iso

Here is one of the softwares

http://download.cnet.com/PowerISO/3000-2646_4-10439118.html?tag=mncol;pop

If you instal this on your computer, you will be able to create a cd capable of booting the infected computer. Just to let you knw that you just need to have a cd drive on your computer,it doesnt matter if its not a dvd writer.

Just do a little read about it.

Dear Wafijoe,

Thanks for your recent enquiry, the advice you were given was absolutely perfect.
However you may wish to carry out more diagnostics to narrow down the cause.

I take no panda security installed ? if it is simply go to control panel or use google
to find out how you can uninstall  panda software. I take you don't have norton
or limewire installed ? if it is could you please remove them as well then test.

Afterwards press control + alt+ delete go to task manager then processes look for tpsrv.exe
and try ending the process. you can do this first before you do the above doesn't matter.

Next time we would appreciate you telling us make and model of your computer, this is to
speed and guarantee tec replies. Good luck !

he exception unknown software exeption (0xCOOOOOd) occurred in the application location
highlighted in bold is a clue as to what the problem is. an application is causing conflicts somewhere
as a result your computer was very slow. best bet is to follow denzel advice boot to safe mode
by pressing f8 repeatedly none stop then uninstall those programmes i ask you to and give us feedback

Good luck !
