Why should we even allow non-Igbos to have a say?

@PointB,

Let me help you with the tally at least I can contribute like that.

My nominations include

Andre Uweh and Onlytruth. On a honest note, I have learned a lot from Onlytruth; following his pattern on issues including arguments , he does bring something different . He has a mentor and listening approach and I think it's one of the great qualities of a leader. Andre, having followed through his perspective, I can only deduct that he's stern yet convincing.

Your nomination is noted. But I think you have nominated them before?

As for the tallying.
Would be glad if you could help. I have posted the latest update. So watch out for new nominations. You have to be careful not to count same person twice, and all that. It's not difficult anyway.

So should we expect the latest tally by tomorrow morning?

No I haven't, that was my first post on this thread.

Oh don't worry, I got this. The most recent tally update will be available with the last person who counted their vote,

Ok.

Then the new tally will be updated starting with your nomination.
Thanks man.

And don't forget the three rules:

1. Nominations by well known ethnic champion of rival ethnic groups will be discounted.
2. Nomination by and of freshly registered posters will have to be seconded by a older poster without contravention of rule 1 above.
3. Posters whose ethnicity/loyalty have been challenged severally by well known Igbo posters will have their nomination/seconding discounted.

Re: Can We Have Eze Ndi Igbo Nairaland? by Kc3000: 9:36pm On Dec 04, 2011
Hahaha this is a joke, or at least I hope it is. There is no such thing as Eze Ndigbo anywhere. Our forefathers made a habit of governing themselves through a council of elders,. . . lets try that, if we must promote our culture.

-Everytime I've seen an assembly of Ndigbo crown someone as Eze-Ndigbo, it usually marks the beginning of the end of whatever togetherness they had enjoyed. Sooner than later, different factions emerge with their own Ezes. Happens all the time, because Ndigbo are naturally averse to such lordship.

- Not to be a party pooper, but I just had to say my bit before someone starts parading himself as "Eze-Ndigbo Nairaland" and making declarations on my behalf. I would not recognize any such persons. Please, carry on with your elections.

Lol! Which one is Eze Ndi Igbo Nairaland again. This is peak of inferiority complex I have ever seen on nairaland. So Ndi Igbo sons don't have the brain to go and set up their own egoland. Na for Seun Osewa, A full Yoruba son's Nairaland social net work they wan nominate Ndi Igbo. Now I know Yorubas are real threats to Eze ndi igbos and are light years ahead.

Kai no brain to set up something like this. Kudos to Seun, the true son of his father. A true son from my home town.

@swezenberg,
it is only a foolish thinker that will condemn a people for patronizing your yoruba brother's business. Quite a shame on you. If you were a good business man u wont write the foolish thing you wrote which exposes your low sense of reasoning. Even seun you are talking about wont support that rubbish you posted.

Lots of people made double nominatiOns,

Imagine one person nominatin up to three or four people?

Did such nominations count?

Please review them, everyone should be entitled to just one nomination.

I nominated him, and i'll sTill stick with him.
Afterall, no one has been able to dig up the so called comment about his support for slavery or whatsoever.

the post exists, and it is disturbing. i saw it with my own eyes. i will not dig it up because i feel it is not my place to mount a campaign against someone with so much initial support. the issue has been raised and discussed. if he survives nomination, then maybe one or more of his 4 opponents (total 5 finalist candidate facing election) will use it against him, i know i would. tongue

How many nominations is each person entitled to?

if one, then i go with onlytruth - haven't seen him lose his cool; knows how to choose his battles - and of course ignore the ignoramuses, and he's intelligible on ihe gbasara ndi Igbo.
The description of 'Eze' does fit him well.

if more than one nomination is allowed, then i'd also nominate dede1 and eziogu - based on their knowledge and wisdom, , and insightfulness.

i'd also nominate Igbo boy, but he is more of a fighter, the wrestler whose back never touches the ground. those whom havent read his posts should read threads where he's taking on rival tribalists, you go laugh tire. the tribalists that have crosssed paths with him now go mute whenever he shows up! pure class act!

if warriors were to be chosen, i'd nominate him, Gadaya and Chino11 as they have different ways to tackling their opponent , wit, venom and fake pictures respectively lol.

I Alusi Okija, Ogbuefi Nna Nyelugo 1 of Amichi, The Ikemba 2 of Nnewi, Spokes man of the gods and Man of the people hereby humbly present myself for the Position of Eze Ndi Igbo 1 of Nairaland.

I promise to champion the course of the Igbo people, Lead us to greater heights and help us reclaim our rightful place as leaders and not followers.

However, I shall not be a part of any foolishness whatsoever, I do not support tribalism in any way (except its against Ekiti State indigenes   grin Just kidding), I may not conform to popular opinion and should I feel that a course of action would be detrimental to my people, I shall recind my position as Eze Ndi Igbo first before I ever compromise my stance. I am one of you and you all are my brethren. We may not see eye to eye on many issues, but our ultimate goal remains the same.
